After Xia Sinian and his family left, Li Bingbing busied herself in her part-time jobs while her mother, Mu Xijiu, started working as a lawyer because this was the field she specialized in. She used to be one of the best in the Law Department before she crumbled because of Li Hua.

The two would only meet during breakfast before they head off to their work. Then they'd meet again at night during dinner after they come back from work. Despite the lack of time they spend together, they became closer than they were before.

Meanwhile, at a certain place far away from the mother and daughter, trouble chased Li Hua because of Li Bingbing's remarks and behavior that angered Fei Qisheng. If not for their close friendship, Fei Qisheng would have cut ties with Li Hua without ever looking back.

After Li Bingbing's shift came to an end at the café she was working in, she dragged her body back home only to see, right outside of the café, her father walking toward her. The air grew stiff and the world lost its color. Li Bingbing's face froze, as if it didn't want to show any vulnerability to the creature in front of it.

She narrowed her eyes when she saw him. Li Bingbing wasn't surprised by his abrupt appearance. Instead, she has already expected him to show his suffocating face one day to bother her.

"Still not giving up?" Li Bingbing crossed her arms. Her eyes became emptier and emptier as they lined up with Li Hua's eyes.

"Can we talk?" Li Hua said with seriousness written all over his face.

Li Bingbing's brow rose until there wasn't any space left for it on her face, "Aren't we already talking?"

"In private." Frustration grew by the second inside

Li Bingbing scoffed, "Let me guess what you have to say... it's about that shitty company of yours and you wanted me to go to one of those arranged marriage you prepared, right?"

"This-"

"This is for your sake, Bingbing." Li Bingbing said the words that Li Hua was about to say. She rolled her eyes before she passed him by, "My answer will still be the same so f*ck off, Li Hua."

Li Hua turned and watched her back with a sad look in his eyes, "I'm still your father, Bingbing."

Li Bingbing stopped and snickered, she placed her hand on her waist before she turned to him, "Are you? From what I know, I don't have a father, he died three years ago." She turned and walked away from him.

Li Bingbing had always loved her father. He was the person she had looked up to, but, ever since he betrayed their family, not only was Mu Xijiu the hurt, but also Li Bingbing suffered. Out of the two, Li Bingbing was hurt the most. He left a scar that would never heal. That was why it was hard for her to accept him back.

Although she looked up to him in the past, now he was sole the reason why she hated men who cheat.

After Li Bingbing left, a flashy red Lamborghini car parked in front of the cafe. The moon lit the sky overhead as a handsome silver-haired man and a beautiful black-haired woman, wearing a pastel green dress, went out of the car.

"This is the cafe that I was talking about, Xian Yu. They serve the best milk tea here," said the beautiful and elegant looking woman, clinging the man's arm. She stared at his eyes and pursed her lips.

Entering the café, they caught the attention of the other costumer and the staff because of how beautiful they looked. The aura they produced extended to the farthest tables in the corners. They looked like living paintings, so the people around them couldn't help but admire the two beautiful people. Some even took out their phones to capture the sight.

After being guided to their table, they sat down and ordered. The waiter was left breathless the entire time because of the formality of the two. After the waiter left, the silver-haired man smiled, "You know that I don't really hang out in places like this, so their milk tea better not disappoint me."

"Don't worry, I'm positive that it won't." The woman let out a charming smile to him.

The man's phone vibrated and when he looked at it, it was a message from his other girl. She wanted him to hang out with her.

The woman he was with saw the message and couldn't help but pout, "Xian Yu, you promised me that you would spend the whole day with me." She sucked in her cheeks and rolled her eyes.

He smiled, his phone suspended in his palm, and turned to the girl, "I always keep my promise, sweetheart."

Ever since Xia Sinian left, Li Bingbing never received any message from him. She developed the habit of jumping around her room because of her never-ending anticipation. Because she didn't receive any messages, she couldn't help but get worried as crazy thoughts raided her mind.

Did he find someone better than her? What if he fell in love with someone else? No, Xia Sinian can't cheat on her! She will hunt him down if he did! She will never allow him to rest in peace, so he better be prepared if she found out that he was cheating on her!

She waited and waited for him to message her, but she never got a message. She even tried to contact Xia Meilin but, for some reason, she never replied either. What kind of friend was she? How can she ignore her like this? Dark thoughts, such as murder, kidnapping, or fatal accidents, filled her day, wondering if her friends disappeared forever.

On the brink of losing hope, Li Bingbing's persistence paid off, at least in her eyes. It was on the day before the first-semester starts that she received a message from Xia Meilin. Tears surfaced her eyes as she read the message.

Li Bingbing's phone almost fell from her hand when she received this message. Finally! Someone decided to message her.

Li Bingbing wanted to send long consecutive cusses, but, before she can hit the send button, the doorbell of her place rang. Wondering on who it might be, Li Bingbing stood up, walked to the front door, and opened it. When the brown wood revealed what hid behind it, she was surprised to see a handsome and sexy man in a suit standing before her. He was hiding a bouquet of flowers behind him.

The air left her lungs as a man with a chiseled jaw, broad shoulders, and protruding chest stood before her. His black, short hair enhanced the shape of his jaw and nose. A smile that shined like the sun accentuated his face. The pattern of his muscles surfaced on his suit because of how big they were. Li Bingbing failed to find her tongue and stared for what seemed hours.

"Sinian..." whispered those words, refusing to believe what her eyes showed her.
