Ever since then Xia Meilin would call Li Bingbing twice every month but because of her busy schedule, it lessened until she never called her at all.

Meanwhile, Li Bingbing decided to move to a place where she could start building her defense system. It was the apartment that Shi Fen bought for her.

At first, the owner of the building complained because of the renovation Li Bingbing requested, though because of her strong backer, the building was bought for Li Bingbing.

She planted traps in her apartment and aside from that, she tightened her security program. The reason why she did that was out of boredom. Aside from that, she was just influenced by some movies she watched and she decided to build the safest place on earth.

A month after she successfully installed her security system, while Li Bingbing was in the middle of playing her games, Kozu's voice was heard.

"Bingbing, your friend is outside."

"My friend?" Li Bingbing asked curiously.

"Xia Meilin."

Li Bingbing took a peek on her phone and she saw a message from Xia Meilin, it said that she just arrived in front of the apartment she was staying.

Li Bingbing couldn't help but smile happily at this, without a second thought, she left her game and went to open the door.

When the door was opened, an elegant looking woman was standing before her. It has been a while since she last saw Xia Meilin and now that she saw her, Xia Meilin looked beautiful than ever.

She popped out the lollipop that was in her mouth before a wide grin appeared on her lips. "Meimei!"

"Bingbing!"

The two girls hugged each other in delight.

Meanwhile, Dong Hua, Xia Meilin's personal bodyguard, turned away when he saw Li Bingbing's attire.

Outrageous! How can she open the door and show her skin to others so easily!

Li Bingbing was wearing nothing but bra and boxers. She was an inch shorter than Xia Meilin and she was wearing thick glasses. Her shoulder-length, curly hair was in a mess.

Li Bingbing would always cut her hair short whenever it started to grow long since she promised herself that she would only grow her hair again once she got back together with the man she loved.

Li Bingbing pulled away and dragged Xia Meilin inside, "Come in! Come in! It's been so long since we last saw each other!"

"Wait." Xia Meilin paused, "I have a companion with me."

Li Bingbing raised an eyebrow as she turned to look at Dong Hua. She eyed him from head to toe, "He's not handsome enough to enter my place. He will have to wait outside."

"Come on Bingbing, he's my bodyguard." She poked Li Bingbing's forehead.

"The more reason he should wait outside!" Li Bingbing pouted as she rubbed her forehead.

Dong Hua's brow twitched in annoyance before he turned to Xia Meilin. "Madam, I can wait here."

Xia Meilin gave him a sorry look, "There's a cafe across the street. You can wait there if you want."

"Okay. Please contact me if anything goes wrong."

"Okay, thank you." Xia Meilin said with a smile.

"Hmp! What could go wrong in this place? This is the safest place Meimei can ever be! F*ck off, old man!" Li Bingbing shut the door by kicking it.

Xia Meilin sighed. "You're still the same as ever."

"And you're still a softie." Li Bingbing said before she put her lollipop again in her mouth. She turned and headed to her room. "Follow me."

When Xia Meilin entered Li Bingbing's room, she went to sit down on her bed and took the PSP that was there.

Since Li Bingbing was a neat freak, her place was super clean. Despite being in front of the computer most of the time, Li Bingbing would only move to clean her place.

Li Bingbing went and faced her computer. She continued playing the online game she was playing earlier. "I am actually surprised that you got married to that shameful man."

Since Xia Meilin's marriage with Lu Yifeng was going around, it didn't escape Li Bingbing's ears.

Ever since Xia Meilin told her about what happened to her four years ago, Li Bingbing programmed Sebby to notify her about News concerning her best friend. Aside from that, she would keep in check on her situation from time to time.

Xia Meilin was playing some game in her PSP. "Hn. I had no choice, I did it for my family and my son."

"What should I do, Bingbing? Should I give him a chance?" The reason why Xia Meilin visited Li Bingbing was to release some steam from all her stress and besides, it has been so long since they last hangout like this.

"Dumb*ss! If I wanted to support 4 talentless douchebags I could have just bought a Nickelback album!" Li Bingbing roared.

Xia Meilin frowned as she looked at her best friend. "Are you even listening to me?"

"Yeah, yeah. I am. What did you say again?" Li Bingbing asked, her attention on the computer screen.

Xia Meilin grabbed a pillow and threw it towards Li Bingbing, hitting her on the head. "Headshot."

"Hey!"

"Oops, my hand slipped." Xia Meilin sneered before she placed the PSP aside.

She groaned. "Yeah, right."

"Anyway, should I give him a chance?" Xia Meilin asked again while staring at the screen.

"You know, I'm actually amazed by how Lu Yifeng owned up to his sins. You see, the words that most criminals will always say when they are caught are 'it's not me' or 'I don't know what you're talking about'... Wow! This guy feeds so much he's a f*cking charity case!"

Li Bingbing squinted her eyes when she leaned her face towards the screen. "Looks like someone let Grandpa on the computer again!"

Xia Meilin couldn't help but sigh. She went out of the bed and walked towards her to watch her play instead. "You know, you've been saying something good earlier but you spoiled it."

"Look how slow this guy's reaction time is. Why doesn't he just disconnect and let the AI take over already?" She huffed.

"No, it's really him." Although just like what Li Bingbing said, something was off with the way Lu Yifeng was treating her. He was so kind and gentle to her despite knowing each other for only a few weeks. They were strangers to each other so why?

"If it was me, if I can see that he's really sincere with his apology, I will give him a chance. Maybe things will work out between us. Well... these are just my thoughts, you still have the last say in it."

Xia Meilin lowered her head after what Li Bingbing said. Lu Yifeng looked like he really was sincere and was really regretful... But she would make her final decision after discussing things out with him, she needed to hear everything on his side first.

"After this game, let's go out and shop! You need to get out of this place sometimes." Xia Meilin walked towards the cabinet and opened it.

"Sure, as long as it's your treat. Go choose some clothes for me."

"Mm." She was looking through her clothes.

Soon after Li Bingbing won the game, she stretched out her arms. "See where there's only one set of footprints? That's when I was carrying you all, bastards!"

Xia Meilin was so glad that she didn't bring Little Melon with her. Li Bingbing would definitely be a bad influence on her son.

"Here. Now go take a bath." She handed her a set of clean clothes.
