"This is your papa's gift, so take good care of it, okay?" Lu Xian Yu gave Mengmeng a small rectangular box that was wrapped with a ribbon.

Mengmeng excitedly opened it and when she did, she saw a beautiful silver necklace with a silver snowflake pendant. It was so pretty that she couldn't help but stare at it for a while.

She then raised her head and smiled excitedly at her father, "Daddy, help me put it on!"

"Why of course."

Li Bingbing watched Lu Xian Yu put the necklace around her daughter's neck. Her eyes were a bit red since she cried earlier. She managed to calm herself down before her children could even notice that she cried.

Mengmeng was touching the pendant happily after her father has put it on her.

"Jiejie so pretty!" Qinqing grinned at her.

The little girl let out a cute giggle, "Of course!"

"Qinqing also prepared gift!"

Qinqing went down from the bed before he hurriedly went and took a paper that was inserted into one of their picture books.

He came back and handed it to her from the side of the bed.

When Mengmeng looked at the paper, there was a rough drawing of a girl. The drawing was just like any normal kiddie drawing.

"Qinqing draw Jiejie!"

Mengmeng smiled happily at her brother, she went down from the bed and hugged her brother. "Thank you, Qinqing! It is so pretty!"

She kissed his cheek which made the little boy smile victoriously since his sister like his gift.

"Can I have a look at it?" Lu Xian Yu grinned at them.

Mengmeng nodded at him before she handed it to her father, "Look, daddy, isn't it so pretty?"

"Woah! Qinqing's drawing of you is really beautiful!" Lu Xian Yu grinned, "We should frame this!"

"Yes! We should, daddy! We should!"

Later that day, after celebrating Mengmeng's birthday, they all prepared to visit Xia Sinian's grave afterward.

Mengmeng and Li Bingbing were wearing white dresses while Lu Xian Yu and Qinqing were wearing white shirts.

Upon arriving at the cemetery, they place the flowers that they brought on the tombstone that had Xia Sinian's name engraved in it.

Under a cloudless sky, the air was filled with the fragrance of pine-needles, it felt more like the park on a Sunday afternoon.

Lu Xian Yu noticed the look on Li Bingbing eyes that was why he stood beside her and held her hand as if letting her know that it was alright to cry.

Li Bingbing didn't want to cry in front of her children, the last time she did, she was joined by them.

There were times where she felt envious of her children since they still could laugh and play. How could they be happy when she felt so sad. Part of her wanted them to feel her pain too, so she wouldn't be so lonely with it, but part of her was glad they couldn't, imagining them in pain would only break her heart more.

Her eyes suddenly swam with tears and she hurried to scrub them from her face.

Lu Xian Yu pulled her to him before he held the back of her head and buried it on his chest and because of that, Li Bingbing's tears became uncontrollable.

Mengmeng and Qinqing were busy playing that was why they didn't think much of it when Lu Xian Yu pulled their mother for a hug.

Li Bingbing quiet cried there in his chest while Lu Xian Yu patiently stroked her hair and stood there for her until she was able to calm down.

It wasn't long before they finally decided that it was time to go home.

Li Bingbing decided to skip dinner that day and instead, she locked herself in her room.

Meanwhile, after having dinner with the kids, Lu Xian Yu was the one who prepared them for bed. After he managed to put them to sleep, he went to check on to Li Bingbing.

She was curled on the bed, hugging a pillow. He noticed that she was holding a photo of Xia Sinian while she was sleeping.

Even if it pained him to see her that way, he had no choice but to be patient with her.

It has already been a year and yet she was still grieving for Xia Sinian. How long would she grieve for him? Will there be a day where she would finally look at him and allow him in her heart?

He could have any girls in the world and yet he chose to be with a broken woman. He sighed as he felt sorry for himself.

He closed the door of the room. As he walked back to her room, his phone started ringing.

He looked at the caller ID and his eyes darkened at it. He entered his room before he answered the call, "I told you, I will not be taking any missions for now."

"Come on, Xian Yu, one last mission. No one wanted to take this Ss rank mission that's why our customer has tripled the price! TRIPLED!"

"Then I'm not going to take it as well. I'm on a vacation, I will not be accepting any missions."

"Just this once, come on. After that, I will never bother you! You can even have a year or two years vacation! I promise I will never bother you in the middle of it!"

Lu Xian Yu sighed, "Tell me, who am I going to kill this time?"

"The prime minister of Grenada, Andrew Becklin."
