But this feather, does not have naturally occurring magic. This feather has a unique sort of magic, in it, all together by itself!

That aura of death and decay, that I kept on feeling, coming of the feather was not just an undertone, that I felt coming off it. It was a whole different kind of magic, altogether. I noted down all the details and information, I gather from the giant feather. It went into my notebook as quickly as that. This is some very important and vital information, stuff that people might actually kill each other for. So, without further ado, I made sure to place the information, in a not so ordinary notebook.

This notebook is actually called a grimoire, my father gifted it to me, at my ninth birthday.

I got to say though, I love birthdays in this universe, the Harry Potter universe. It is during these times, you get all those rare treasure, maybe even some family heirloom and what not. Unlike regular old earth, where you just get a slightly more expansive item on some birthdays, here, you get all the goodies.

The things recorded in a grimoire, can only be read by its owner. You simply place a drop of blood on it, and boom. It is yours forever and ever, until the end of times. Also, a grimoire has some pretty cool defensive mechanism, I learned all of that thanks to my good old friend, Fred. Ha! The fool actually tried to read my grimoire, ahhh, how did he put it again...

Oh yes. "I was only trying to see what you got hidden in the damnable book, you know crushes and what not!" Like I would be interested in some little child, I will have you know I am not a loli type of guy. Anyways, it just feels wrong! It is like the police would ram in my door any second, if I got into that sort of territory.

Anyways back to what happened to Fred. Seeing that he could no gleam what the grimoire held, he decided it was a great idea to use some spells. Spells I do not know where he picked up from, to try and glean the secrets of the grimoire.

Now let me tell you something fascinating. Some magical objects react very poorly to any sort of magic done on them, or done near them. Fred learned that lesson the hard way.

The grimoire barfed fire onto Fred, burning off his eyebrows. Then the little monster of a book, jumped at him, and bite into his left arm. The book nearly took his arm clean off, if I hadn't walked in at that moment.

Nowadays, Fred has an instant hate for the grimoire when ever he sees it, also a sickly little fear, that is apparent from his body movement. The poor kid, shivers when he thinks nobody is looking at him. But, George and I, always have a good chuckle, silently that is.

But then again, this is Fred, we are talking about here. The man that tried to flirt with my mother. That was so disgusting on so many levels, and also very entertaining. Let's just say that my mother drilled into him, to keep his admiration towards her, to himself.

Ahh! Having Fred around is always enjoyable. He has a real nack of getting himself into the crazies of shit. And yes, he does get me into his mess, like all the time. But it is those sort of shit that he dragged me into, that I always remember fondly when I look back upon it. Although in between the moments, I really do just want to kill him and be done with it.

I looked down at the cauldron that I got running at the moment, as I held on hand over my mouth and nose with a wet piece of cloth. Inside the cauldron, right now is a potion that I am developed around the deathly giant feather.

This was a unique potion recipe that I found in my mother's library, and I got to say, it perfectly fits with this feather I got from Hagrid. I did have to tweak it a bit, here and there, but we will know soon if this works out.

With all preparations complete, I went over to one of the benches. On the bench was a box, a box from Hagrid. I took it and walked back to the cauldron, I unlatched the box and in it was the giant deathly black feather. I tilted the box over, letting the feather fall off from the small, little, tiny, cushions and into the boiling cauldron.

I watched closely as the colossal feather dropped into the brewing potion. I waited patiently as the feather sunk into the black substance. Then waited some more, and then even more. Now, I started to wonder if I did some mistake some where, but I swear I double checked, then triple checked everything.

So, what is wrong? All of a sudden, I got the response I was looking for. And it was breathtaking and stupefying all at the same time.
