Chapter 63: Treated with care

He Lian Yi coughed twice, trying to attract everyone's attention.

Anyway, he is also the young master of this family, so he cannot be ignored.

Won't that lose his face?

“Don't have dinner with everyone when you have a cold. Go back to your room.” Wen Ruya is now annoyed whenever she looks at her son.

He Lian Yi: "…"

Is this still his gentle and elegant mother?

After dinner, the two stayed for a small talk before leaving.

“Do you like the piano?” Huo Jinchen asked after leaving the villa.

“Huh? Me?” Lu Xingzhi pointed at herself, her lips twitching. “Of course, I like it. Didn't I tell you, I am a girl who's greedy for vanity. I like anything as  long as it's expensive."

"Lu Xingzhi, your smile is unsightly." Huo Jinchen noted. 

Lu Xingzhi reached her lower cheek with the tip of her tongue. “This is a polite smile.”

Huo Jinchen is speechless. He's looking forward to Lu Xingzhi's smile when she sees the piano. That flash of a smile is more dazzling than the starry sky.

Her 'sorry' hit him heavily on the heart, it hurts.

Lu Xingzhi …

Once they reached home, each went to their own room. 

Lu Xingzhi hugged her knees and sat on the carpet on the balcony, staring into the distance.

How could she not like the piano.

It's just that….

Dad, I miss you so much.

Sorry, I haven't played the piano anymore.

I didn't stand on that brightest stage either.

Seeing that beautiful piano today, it's overpowering charm made her heart beat and spurred her into wanting to feel it, play it.

Lu Xingzhi buried her head in her knees and wept silently.

Until a man on the balcony next door prodded, “Zhizhi, are you crying?”

Lu Xingzhi raised her head in fright. It was too late to dry her tears since Huo Jinchen has already appeared on the balcony next door.

What Huo Jinchen saw was Lu Xingzhi's desolate eyes. With a teardrop mole on the backdrop, she appeared even more pitiful. It pinched his heart and he frowned. He slowly asked: “Why?”

"What why?" Lu Xingzhi didn't quite understand, so she asked dumbly.

"Why are you crying?" He asked again.

Lu Xingzhi wiped her tears spontaneously and forced a half-hearted smile: "I was just looking at the scenery and was blinded by the sand.”

Lu Xingzhi stood up as if nothing was wrong, and returned to her room.

She patted her little face and lectured herself, "Lu Xingzhi, what are you crying about, you're a grownup, what a shame.”

You must have really been pampered recently, that's why a bit of grievance would drive you crying.

A person like you, who no one cares,  no one loves, is not qualified to cry.

She speedly headed to the bathroom to wash her face, but a knock sounded on her door. She walked back and opened it. Lu Xingzhi inquired stiffly. “Uncle, do you need something?”

Huo Jinchen didn't speak and just looked at her.

He took a handkerchief out of his pocket and stretched it out towards Lu Xingzhi's face. Before touching her, she dodged it and stepped back.

"Don't, don't, uncle, my face is not as valuable as your handkerchief! Don't get it dirty.  I'm not so delicate, I'll just wash my face in the bathroom.”

“Come here.” Huo Jinchen's tone was imperative and overpowering.

Before Lu Xingzhi could take a step forward, he pulled her himself, and started wiping the tear marks on her face gently with his handkerchief.

Lu Xingzhi couldn't stand such treatment, being treated gently and cautiously. It scares her somehow.
