Chapter 55: A very nice elder

Seemingly interrupted by Lu Xingzhi's presence, he looked towards her and smiled, evoking a warm tender gaze. 

"Morning, did you sleep well?"
“Very well.” How enchanting this immortal is!

Lu Xingzhi sighed deep in her heart.

“Does your face still hurt?”

“It doesn't hurt.”

“Breakfast is ready, let's go!” Huo Jinchen didn't insist on the topic, anyway, he will teach those who bully her.

He stood up and holding Lu Xingzhi's hand, he led her towards the dining room.

Can holding hands become a habit?

Lu Xingzhi considered the big hand wrapped around her tiny hand. 

Definitely not because he likes her, or taking advantage of her.

“Eat more and drink your milk. Look at you, you're too thin.” When Huo Jinchen was carrying Lu Xingzhi that day, he felt that she was too light, merely akin to a cat nestled in his arms.

Her waist is also thin and soft, and he is worried that he might break it with a little force.

“I don't want to drink milk. I'm not thin either.” Lu Xingzhi on the other hand believes that she has eaten too well recently and has  gotten fat.

She is still wondering whether to eat less.

Huo Jinchen insisted as if coaxing  a child, “Be good, drinking milk is good for your health.”

Lu Xingzhi frowned and her little mouth puckered. She isn't fond of drinking whole milk.

“Then why don't you drink?”

“Okay, I'll drink too.” Huo Jinchen held up another milk glass and drank it in one breath. Then he said, “I'm done, can you drink it now? Or do you want me to feed you?”

“No.” Lu Xingzhi picked up the glass, closed her eyes, and drank quickly.

What a relief.

After breakfast, Lu Xingzhi didn't want to stay with Huo Jinchen and returned to the room.

Huo Jinchen said nothing, sitting on the sofa and reading a book.

Until about ten in the morning, the He Lian family arrived.

“Aunt, uncle.” Huo Jinchen greeted them before finally looking at He Lian Yi, “Ready?”

“San Ge, I …”

“Don't explain or say anything against my fiancee. I have always thought you were merely being unreasonable and still pure at heart. But you actually beat someone, and even a girl at that, you've really got some manners."

Huo Jinchen was too lazy to scold him, and so instructed the maid in the hall, “Go and ask your madam to come down.”

When Lu Xingzhi heard Huo Jinchen asking her to go down, she didn't think much about it. Only when she went downstairs did she find out that he is not alone.

Huo Jinchen got up and approached her as he came down, took her hand and led her in front of the two elders, “This is my aunt, my mother's sister. This is my uncle. There's no need to introduce the other two. These are their parents.”

“Auntie, uncle,” Lu Xingzhi greeted respectfully.

“Good girl, you've been wronged.” Wen Ruya smiled gently.

When Lu Xing was on the stairs, Wen Ruya kept her eyes on her.

The little girl still has a swollen face on one side, which made the other side of her petite face terribly pitiful.

Her skin is so smooth, with eyes clear as autumn water.

She really has the good looks. And from what Wen Ruya has discovered, the girl's temperament is very clean, in addition from the details of her walking and sitting postures, she must have had an excellent tutor.

“How old are you this year?” Wen Ruya asked softly again.

“Eighteen years old.” She's too young compared with Huo Jinchen.

Jinchen, this child, she didn't expect that he'd grow fond of this kind of delicate girl.
