Chapter 4: Is a girl's waist this soft?

Earlier, he had just had lunch and was ready to get on the car heading to her house when he happened to glance at her. Although he didn't see her whole face, her clear eyes were vividly painted in his mind.

Nevertheless, she's just a funny young girl who's fond of boasting shamelessly.

This kind of predestined meeting was truly a mystery.

“Let's go!” Bringing his thoughts back to present, Huo Jinchen led.

As it was raining cats and dogs, even with an umbrella, it was inevitable to get wet.

Lu Xingzhi shrank in attempt to avoid getting wet. Huo Jinchen lowered the umbrella quietly and drew closer to her. At such close proximity under the support of a tiny umbrella, a subtle undercurrent emerged.

Lu Xingzhi was oblivious to it. On the contrary, she thought that Huo Jinchen was quite the gentleman.

Wei Yang trotted towards them when he saw them approaching the car .

“Sir, just a moment ago, a grandfather informed me that the water level at the river near up front has been rising and the bridge has already been submerged. We can't drive for the time being and with the storm surging, it isn't a good idea.”

Huo Jinchen made no reply and instead bowed to look at Lu Xingzhi.

And Lu Xingzhi's sunny look was now frozen stiff, what's with that look?

After taking a deep breath, she strived to produce a smile, “If this is the case, then you should rest in the house for the meantime. Wait until the rain subsides and the river level goes down before you go!”

“Okay!” Huo Jinchen looked at Lu Xingzhi's reluctant and pained appearance. The gloom that settled in his chest just a moment ago was swept away in an instant and he felt a hint of delight.

When the two huddled back with the umbrella, the rain was pouring increasingly. The ground was slippery for when Lu Xingzhi stepped on something, she slipped and fell backwards.

She thought she'd fall, but a huge palm suddenly wrapped itself on her waist and helped her up.

He must have pulled too hard because Lu Xingzhi hit his chest before she could balance herself.

She rubbed her nose timidly and looked up at Huo Jinchen.

The distance between the two was close enough for them to feel each other's breathing.

“Thank you!” Lu Xingzhi whispered pleasantly and carefully retreated.

Her heartbeat raced for some unknown reason. It may be from the man's closeness or due to her near fall, her heart remained in trepidation.

Huo Jinchen's thoughts were much simpler. It was the first time he had such close contact with the opposite sex. Her waist was fetchingly slim, barely a handful, but it felt good, quite soft.

Could it be that all girls' waists were this soft?

“That, that.. let's get in!” Lu Xingzhi blushed. She couldn't tell if Huo Jinchen was deliberate or not, but he seemed to have pinched her waist a moment ago.

But, a closer look at Huo Jinchen's gentle and serene composure, elegant and reserved, Lu Xingzhi concluded that it was all her nasty imagination. A man this divine wouldn't possibly take advantage of an ordinary woman like her.

“This rain won't stop any minute soon. If you don't mind, just ahve dinner here!” Lu Xingzhi was really against inviting Huo Jinchen in, but in the end, it would be embarrassing to just eat by herself and let him watch.

“I don't mind.” Huo Jinchen replied with three words.

Lu Xingzhi: “…”

He really has no sense of restraint.

The house not only looked pitiful outside, but also a bit stuffy.

Lu Xingzhi's home wasn't equipped with an air conditioner, only a fan.

After turning on the fan and the TV in the living room, she placed the remote control next to Huo Jinchen then went straight into the kitchen.

Soon afterwards, the dishes were washed, sliced and ready to be cooked.
