"We surrender!" Immediately a bunch of people jumped off of the arena and left. Only 3 other contestants remain, and my protagonist is one of them.

"Are you sure you can speak of arrogance with me?" I joked.

This cold arrogance, this white dress, the mask, all of it points to one character. She must be the female lead, I am sure of it! No one would wear an actual dress in this scenario, only she would want to be this elegant at all times. Female lead vibes are definitely tingling.

"Now then-" I threw her off of the arena.

"..."

I guess I won! Whew! I am very honourable indeed!

There is no way in hell I am going to let her monologue and make me lose time. I am an efficient person! I am the type of person that would reuse a rubbish bag!

Suddenly the pod opened, letting me catch a breath of fresh air.

"Hey, Simz, how did you do?" Michelle asked straight away.

Fuck! I have to lie straight to her face! I completely forgot to create an alibi.

"Ummm... I got swooped by that pink guy when I tried to stab a 1st rank... Ugghhhh.... why can't I have good luck just this once?" I complained loudly. No one can refute this claim, over half of the year was destroyed by 'pink guy' anyways.

"Fuck that Asshole! He pummeled me with a bunch of swords! I can't go up against a rain of swords and expert dagger play... that asshole... I swear! I am going to find him and beat the shit out of him!"

"..."

I am that 'Asshole', and I don't want to be beaten. Now that I remember it, she is probably that half-step 4th rank dark horse that I relentlessly destroyed.

"Come on... calm down... it's just one battle. It's not like you have anything to prove right?"

"Aaaaww... Simzy is too nice for me!"

I held in my happiness as I heard these words. I obviously know what credits are, I mean I created that system. Credits can be exchange for many things at Haven, ranging from visionary tools to arts. A single credit can get me a tier 2 pill, and ten credits can get me a tier 3 pill. If I do remember correctly, today's rewards are 20 credits.

I will just spend them discreetly on some pills. Who cares about armour and weapons when I can make blows bounce off me and crush someone with the sheer pressure of my aura.

While I am at it, I might as well splurge all of my points in the system shop. I need many pills, too many pills. If I don't strengthen up, I will probably die.

During the siege, Simon was one of the first to die. This is because his class just so happened to be outside in the training fields. And guess what happened at the training fields? Demons happened. The whole of C-class had to fight off 10 rank 5 demons being led by a strong rank 6 demon. Simon just so happened to be one-shotted by the leader, instantly dying.

Basically, if I can't get to at the very least, peak rank 5, I will probably die. But I could just pretend to not be feeling well... but James would probably have trouble since I stole his chance to earn his physique. In short, everyone will die if I can't get stronger. But then again, there is a much more efficient way to deal with this issue.

And I will leave it at that.

"Fucking Sadist! I hope he dies." Michelle growled.
