Surviving In My Novel 13 Vis Arena 1

I left my bed soon after, making some cereal and coffee.

The first day felt like a walk in the park, I got to showcase my skills a bit and have fun, but the second day hit me like a one tonne brick.

I slowly drank my coffee and ate my cereal. Nothing special here, it's just breakfast. Afterwards, I took a look at my TeleChat.

James : you ok? You didn't look too good on the way out.

Well I guess James is still James. He is still the respectful and kind protagonist. But his personality is boring...

'Whew' today is a new day! I am going to have fun today!

I got out of the bath and ran to the shower. I have no shame, if you want to use my bath, then don't expect me to show common decency!

"You are being very improper Simz."

"And you are taking my tub!"

I turned on the shower and minded my own business. Like hell I am going to ruin my 3rd day as soon as I fucking wake up! I don't care if I am butt naked, I just want to take a damn bath, but I can't even do that!

"Well, I am done. You can take the bath if you want." Michelle said as she got out of the bathtub and dried herself.

"I am fine."

I finished taking a shower, drying myself off and putting on a bathrobe.

"So why are you still here?" I asked.

"Oh, you must've forgotten... but you have officially fulfilled your promise." She happily spoke.

'Wtf do you mean?' I blacked out, what did I even do?

"A little bit of skinship is okay for now, we will see more anyways."

"Ah, I almost forgot hon, the VA is opening soon. Do you wanna try it out?" Michelle said as she stepped forward, placing her hand on my cheek.

This is definitely what I think it is. And now I remember what I did. Not even a week in, and I am in this situation. What the hell has Simon been up to behind the scenes?

"Vis Arena? Yeah sure. I gotta make an account first."

I pulled out my phone as I received a notification for the companion app's auto installation.

We left the dorm and headed for the VA. The VA can be described as a huge warehouse full of pods that act as virtual reality full immersion packages. The pods measure your VQ and all the relevant data such as you rank and vis power. It is also extremely accurate in portraying you, letting the user have as much control over his virtual body.

Today's the opening day, so many Haven students are here, all ready to enter the newly made school ranking system. James will obviously do well even without his physique, because of his experience, so I don't need to worry about him. I just need to worry about myself for now.

I got a nice aura from one of the paintings yesterday, so I will definitely use that. I will also showcase my physique and full strength. I want to climb the rankings and be on top! Last time around, in my novel, James got 3rd place, Mark just clinched for 2nd, and Sienna managed to get 1st. Of course this was for the 1st years, they weren't so OP that they could defeat second years and above easily. Entering the overall competition is just an option, an option that I am going to take today. But this time I have a feeling that a lot more things will be different...

"Simz, you better get in the top 10!"

I hopped in my pod and entered the new reality.

I opened my eyes to find myself in a humongous circular sky arena with at least 100 other students. There were no barriers around, so I could probably just go around and push people off. But then again, it looks like this is a Battle Royale, so getting ganged up on doesn't seem out of the question.

I have 10 daggers on me, so I am definitely ready. I set my clothes to a pink butler's outfit with a pair of red tinted glasses. The perfect and most eccentric costume!

'LAST BUT NOT LEAST!' I turned on the music function in the pod when I got in, and I know for a fact that I can blast it for everyone else to hear...

There's still about 2 minutes until the battle royale begins. Better now than never!

"Play 'Indian Power Rangers'."

And a sudden realisation hit me, 'why does my hip ache a bit?'
