Survival to Godhood 33 Lightning Heis

Hiro paused to make sure they understood what he was saying and then continued saying, "I will attack the main base as the decoy. As long as they don't have a Shattering or Avatar level mermanian, I should be able to hold out for a while. You two will break in and steal the ship. Lucy, you will hijack the ship while Leo pulls security. Any questions?"

"Nope," Lucy responded.

"What is hijack?" asked Leo. He asked it out of habit when Sprite used a word he didn't know.

"Basically, You and I will break into the ship, and I will start the engine without the key. Then we will drive it away." Lucy said with an evil smile.

"Don't forget to grab me before you leave," Hiro said to make light of the situation. He knew that they could be heading into a deadly trap, but he had a lot of faith in Lucy. She retrofitted most of the technology we stole up to this point. At 16 years old, she became the lead scientist of the Renegades.

The three of them sat in silence the rest of the trip. Each one was mentally preparing themselves for the mission. Thinking back on the mermanian in the Battle Royal, Leo thinking up different ideas to combat their water arts. Then a thought came to him, what if they all don't use water arts? Leo kept trying to come up with plans.

"Alright, we are approaching the island. Lucy take over piloting of the ship. Fly straight through, and I will jump out. Loop around and head straight to the location of the boat."

Lucy walked over and switched with Hiro. "Hiro get ready to jump."

Hiro walked to the rear and smashed the hanger door button. Hiro jumped into his hovercraft. As soon as he was above the island, he flew the craft out the ship.

Sailing through the air the hovercraft crashed into the ground, but Hiro recovered it just in time. Hiro was speeding his craft toward the race's main spaceship.

*Alarms* "Intruder Alert!" *Alarms*

"Well, I guess they know I am here." Hiro leaped out of the vehicle when it was 100 yards from the ship. The hovercraft moved forward and crashed into the spaceship, and all of the explosives inside of it went off.

*Kaboom*

The explosive wave wrecked the side of the ship and blew smoke and dust everywhere.

"Attack the intruder." Several mermanians started firing plasma rifles at Hiro. Some mermanians launched icicles towards him.

"Kaze Screen." Quickly drawing his sword, Hiro grabbed the sword with two hands and stabbed the ground. The mana Hiro released from his body and sword changed the air around him into a sphere of a wind that expanded outwards.

The Kaze screen blocked all the blast and ice attacks. Hiro pulled up his sword and flicked the dust off. He slowly slid the sword back into the sheath.

"Raiken!" Hiro drew his sword horizontally and destroyed all that was in front of him. Half of the mermanians attacking Hiro were killed.

"Call for back up." A mermanian yelled.

"No, I'm calling the queen." The mermanian called for the queen over his communication stone. "She is coming directly over. Delay the intruder as long as possible."

"Lucy dodge that blast." Leo was scared of all the plasma blast being fired at them. The port, where the ship was, had several auto-turrets mounted around it.

*Boom* A blast landed on the rear of the craft they were in.

"Damn it. Leo, we were hit. I'm going to land it near the factory. Hang on tight." The ship Lucy was driving crashed into the water and slid into the beach next to the building with the new prototype boat.

"Uhhhh." Leo picked himself. The crash flung him out of his seat, and he hit his head on the computers.

"I told you to hang on," Lucy said with a smirk. She laughed a bit and patted Leo on the back. She grabbed a blaster and grabbed her grey cloth satchel.

The two of them exited the ship, and the turrets targeted the ship. The movement of opening the exit door triggered the towers. Leo and Lucy jumped back, and the ships exit was blown up.

"That was close. Lucy, what are we going to do?"

"I have an idea. The back of the ship is under water. If swim out the hanger door Hiro left in, we could swim into the factory."

"Lucy I don't know how to swim underwater." Leo fell into the river gathering water and almost drowned. Because of that incident, Leo never tried to swim again.

Lucy was amazed. She knew how to swim ever since she was small. "Alright, I will swim under and enter the base. You stay on the spaceship."

This made Leo feel conflicted. Was he going to allow his fear and inability to swim keep him sidelined? While thinking this, Lucy walked to the end of the ship and jumped into the water already. "Lucy..."

Leo had to get inside the building. He looked out the window and saw rocks on the beach. If he used the stones to block the incoming attacks while moving, he might make it to the building.

The attack earlier blew open a large hole in the hull. Leo decided to run out it. He picked up a large piece of shrapnel to use as a last resort and took off out the hole.

The turrets from before locked onto the movement and fired four plasma blast. "Earth Control; Rock Shot." Leo fired his own projectiles to block the blast. Using the dust cloud, Leo was about halfway to the building.

Jumping out of the haze, Leo had four more blasts headed his way. "Rock Stomp." Leo knocked up rocks from the beach to defend from the attack. He used Metal Control to block the last shot from the turrets.

Leo dove against the wall of the building and the turrets no longer sense him. Channeling his yin mana into his fist, Leo pierced the wall and entered the building.

"Oof...that was more difficult than I thought." He depleted all the mana stored in the metal orb in his pocket. Lifting such large boulders required so much more mana than he was used to.

*Pew* *Pew* *Pew*

Three plasma blast shot towards Leo. The room he broke into had three stationary turrets on the ceiling. Leo dodged one, but the other two hit. One injured his left arm and right hip. The blast burnt through his new armor and seared his skin. The smell of burnt flesh floated into his nostrils.

Leo threw out his daggers, and they penetrated each turret destroying them. He retrieved each blade and then entered the large hanger where a high-tech silver boat was sitting in water. Walking through a door, Leo spotted Lucy.

Lucy exited the water and saw Leo walking towards her. "Leo, how'd you get in here?"

Leo gave Lucy a look of envy. Lucy had no idea what he just went through to get in there.

"Since you are here let us break into the ship together."
