Survival to Godhood 13 Independence Falls

Leo eventually ran up on the large building with a huge garage door. The metal door was big enough to squeeze many hoover crafts in through it. The building door was right next to the bay door, and Leo tried to open it, and it was locked. Leo kicked the handle off the door and ripped the door open.

Walking into the bay, Leo spotted the hoover craft he and Joe used to escape with. Leo climbed up into the aircraft. "Sprite is everything good with it."

"Yes, Sir." Leo cranked up the craft and jumped down to open the bay door.

"Boom!!!"

"What was that?" Leo asked as he was opening the door. Before Sprite could respond a spaceship as massive as the settlement of Independence was in the sky above it.

"Sir that is the beastmen's ship we escaped from. It seems they are firing down at us.

"Boom!!" Another building was blasted as Leo stared up at the massive barrage of the blast coming down on the settlement.

Realizing the beastmen followed his trail here he was scared for himself and for Joe. "Oh no, I hope Joe and Samantha are alright." Thinking about it, the only way Independence would stand a chance if they can get the main blaster up and running.

Leo ran over and jumped into the hovercraft and headed in the direction of the blaster. Plasma blast started raining down terror upon the settlement.

"Sir go right." Leo swerved right and barely dodged a blast.

"Go Left." Leo swerved left and crashed into the building next to him. The blast destroyed the road where Leo would've been. Leo tried to reverse out, but steel rebar was jammed into the left paneling. Pressing his back against the craft and pushed the wall with his legs. Directing mana to his legs, Leo managed to nudge the ship free from the debris.

"Sir, get down."

As Leo got down, a plasma blast hit the roof of the place he ran into. Concrete was showering the area. Leo brushed off the dust and debris off his and got into the hovercraft. He powered it up and took back off into the direction of the building with the generator.

The last 15 minutes have been hell for the settlement. Almost all of the buildings have been blasted at least once. Even while Leo was driving back, plasma rained down on him.

Pulling up the main building with the large blaster on top. Gladius saw Leo coming. "Leo hurry up and get in here before you get hit!" A bright plasma blast came down from the above space ships cannon and hit the building in front of Leo. Leo watched as the explosion destroyed the blaster, the 2nd floor, and behind Gladius a cloud of dust engulfed him.

"Gladius!" Leo hopped out of the hovercraft and ran into the cloud of dust. Being directly under the ship, the rain didn't disperse it. Looking around he only saw crumbled concrete and old rebar. Leo started moving the ruble out of the way. He saw Gladius arm sticking out. Leo grabbed his arm and realized the rest of him wasn't on the other end. "Sprite locate Gladius now."

"Sir, second incoming."

Leo ignored Sprite's message and kept moving concrete until the second blast impacted. The shockwave blew him off the pile, and Leo hit the ground hard. "Cough, cough." Picking himself off the ground, Leo stumbled to his feet. "Sir….."

"Boom."

A third blast hit the building. The shockwave from this blew Leo into the hovercraft. The beastmen were making sure the only weapon we had was destroyed.

This was the last blast from the ship. The bay doors opened on the massive, and hundreds of beastmen exited the craft. Jumping down and flying down, beastmen started a killing spree in Independence. This time they weren't taking prisoners.

"Sir, you have to get up."

A beastman running over initiated an Iron Reaper and lunged at the Leo slumped against the hovercraft. Sprite executed a Solar Flare on his own to blind the beastman. Snapping out of it, Leo used a descending moon to knock the beastman out.

He climbed into the craft and fell over. The shockwaves did a number on his body and equilibrium. Leo started the ship and zoomed toward his house. Independence has fallen, and he knew they had to run. A beastmen in the roads tried to stop him, and Leo just ran them over.

Pulling up the gas station, he saw a beastman break down the door to his home. Angry, Leo kicked off the hovercraft and tackled the beastman into the house. The beastman stabbed Leo side with an Iron reaper before getting up. Leo double kicked him into the wall. He picked up a broken rear axil made of titanium. Leo slammed the brake drum into the beastman's face. The canine variant died instantly.

"Joe! You in here?"

"Yeah, Leo we are in the bathroom." Let us unbar the door. A few minutes went by, and they came out.

"Leo/Sir behind you!" Sprite and Samantha said at the same time. Stepping out of the bathroom Samantha spotted a beastman coming into the gas station. Leo spun around and tossed the car axel like a spear knocking the beastman away.

"Samantha get Joe into the hovercraft."

Leo stepped outside, and a beastman grabbed the heavy metal object thrown at his fellow beastman and threw it to the side. "Human you killed my two brothers. Blood for blood." The beastman roared and charged at Leo. "Steel Reaper." This was a stronger version on iron reaper that certain canine beastmen focused on.

Seeing the Steel Reaper claw coming at him, Leo parried the claw with an Ascending Sun. "Bison Art: Rock Shot." A boulder appeared and was fired into the canine's gut launching him into the building across the street. The crashing sound alerted two more beastmen who ran over.

Samantha ran out of the gas station with Joe in his chair. Leo looked over, "get him and the chair into the craft." Looking at the beastmen coming, "I will take care of these guys."

The two canine variants split up. One went right, and the other went left. They were performing a pincer attack. Using the last bit of mana in his body, Leo launched a "Bison Art: Rock Stomp-Double Shatter." This sent earth projectiles left and right destroying the beastman's plan.

Leo grabbed the one on the right and threw him into the other beastman. This caused the both of them to fall over. Next to the two of them was the axel which was thrown to the side. Without having a second thought, Leo bashed their heads in. Leo dropped the bloody axel and walked towards the hovercraft.

Joe started the craft and drove it next to Leo so he wouldn't have to walk.

"Danger Sir, detecting Core Building lifeform."

All three of them turned left when a voice said, "Humans you are not escaping this time."
