Survival to Godhood 104 Protocol Zulu Niner Alpha

When the leader of their race was slain in the middle of the night, the entire mermanian race went into defensive mode. All warriors were recalled to their post.

The strongest warriors returned to their main castle which is housed in the old island country of Taiwan. The mermanians chose this location to be surrounded by the sea. Once all of these powerful beings returned they were given strict orders to hunt down any clues as to who killed Queen Fea.

Many spies were sent to the other race's bases, and they even sent an envoy to Lankani City to gather intelligence.

A mermanian called Dreaso led the fleet of ten artifact battleships. He was born a blood-thirsty warrior. He quickly progressed up through the ranks to his current leadership position by saving the Queen's daughters life.

When Dreaso spotted the barbaric fleet of humans, he commanded his fleet to attack without regard.

"Commander, theses humans might belong to Lankani City."

"I don't care," Dreaso responded angerly. "Destroy those five ships."

Sighing the mermanian lieutenant asked, "what should we do with any survivors?"

"Kill them all."

With the final command given, the lieutenant relayed the message the battleships began their attack. The Renegades couldn't respond before half of the Archangel was destroyed.

Over in the Blood Castle, the crew was on red alert. Sailors were running to their battle stations. The fleet admiral had a desperate and grim look on his face. He knew if this day ever came they would lose. They didn't have the technology or warriors to evenly with any of the races. That is why they stuck to low scale espionage and terrorist attacks.

"Sir, what do we do?"

Nightengale took a deep breath. He knew his next command would kill half their fleet. "Command the Demon and its captain to escort the Life-Giver to safety. Have them make port in our hidden base in Anchorage."

The men stared at the commander waiting for his next words. Even with the battleship, Archangel, being bombarded, you could hear a pin drop in the bridge of the ship.

"The Impaler, Archangel, and Blood Castle will engage the enemy to stall them. That is all."

A loud, boisterous reply was given. "Aye Aye, Sir."

The Fleet Admiral knew this would be his last day. His only regret is he wouldn't get to see his brother or his daughter before he died. The old man clenched his fist; he now needed to plan a distraction.

"Contact the Archangel and tell them to drive towards the enemy fleet and explode their nuclear reactor inside the ship. Command the Impaler to give the Archangel cover fire. We will take out as many of those bastards as we can."

The sailor in charge of communications sent the message and gulped. The sailor replied on the other side in pain from the sound of it. The sailor didn't know if the ship could even move anymore.

The Impaler opened fire on the incoming fleet followed by the Blood Castle. The ten battleships each had their mana barriers that stopped the explosives or ballistics from doing any damage.

The Archangel crew scrambled to get the engines moving. The starboard engine was destroyed, and water is flooding most of the ship.

The lieutenant was made in charge due to the captain dying on the bridge. "Ask the men in the engine room how much longer?"

"Sir, Team Ice's captain is hailing us."

"Patch him through."

"Acting Captain of the Archangel, this is Ice Knight. I'm going to grab your anchor and drag you with my airship. Use whatever engine you can to assist."

The lieutenant turned towards his men. "Get the port side engine going now."

The Ice Knight was of Russian and Chinese descent. His team was assigned to train a new batch of warriors in the tundra of Russia. The Knight was heading back to the ships for supplies when he received the S.O.S. He was born without a name and was raised by raiders. They mostly called him Gopher.

Gopher dropped a steel cable down to the anchor and started to fly forward pulling the ship. Also using his ice manipulation, he repaired the holes in the holes in the boat.

The Ice Knight then ran to the front of the ship to protect it from incoming attacks. The Ice Knight just broke through into the Avatar level.

With the airship in autopilot pulling the ship, Archangel headed towards the enemy.

The mermanian ships under the barrage of the other vessels open fire on the Archangel headed at them.

"Ice Glacier!"

The Ice Knight erected a large Ice wall to block the incoming mana lasers. The created wall after wall with the ocean water.

Three shots that overlapped busted through and hit the bow of the ship sending the Ice Knight flying. His ice walls gave the Archangel enough time to get close enough.

"Detonate the core!" Commanded the Archangel's Lieutenant.

The nuclear core went off surprising the enemy. The two battleships near it didn't activate their shields and took massive damage to their hulls. The others activated their mana shields and received little to no harm.

"What was that bright blast?" Tai Sun asked.

"It looks like a nuclear explosion," Lucy answered nonchalantly. Something came over her making her no attachment to the loss of this fleet. The same feeling came over her a lot lately except when she was around Leo.

~"All units incoming, leave immediately. Protocol Zulu Niner Alpha."~

Everyone was filled with shock. That protocol meant the Renegades were disbanded.
