The result of such a surgical intervention was akin to diluting the composition of the tendon. While this wouldn't affect an ordinary person significantly, it would gravely impact a long-distance runner.
Why did some athletes suffer a poor prognosis despite receiving treatments for chronic damage causing tendinitis?
