Stronghold In The Apocalypse Chapter 164

Leo massage his temples while looking at the three people in front of him who came from different groups around Northwich .

One of them was about to say something when Leo immediately beat him to it and said with an annoyed tone .

"What do you guys want?" Leo raised his hand towards them like he was gesturing them to not talk before him .

Leo was feeling annoyed because this people came uninvited especially now that he was really busy on making a basic structure for society at the three places that they had recently captured for the past month including this place where the industrial building is located at .

"Leader Leo shouldn't mind us too much, we just came here to offer congratulations on your successful take over of Hartford Village" one of the men said with an enthusiastic voice and even though he looks like he was talking to Leo but his eyes are instead carefully darting around the place as he tried to get as much information as possible from Leo's group with the things around them .

"Haa!" Leo snorted with a laugh and then he said, "Why don't you guys just tell me that you came here just to find out if were going to attack other bases because you're leaders are worried if they are next"

The men showed a stiff smile on their faces as they didn't expect Leo to be this blunt but at the same time, they also couldn't help but admire and fear this group of people when they saw how well equipped they are that they even have military grade vehicles with them .

They even had the urge to ask Leo if they could join them right now but they still didn't dare too as they still have families back home and they are worried that something would happen to them if they suddenly turn their backs from their group .

"Now, get a move on and get out of my sight" Leo said as he shooed them with his hand and he continued, "You shouldn't worry about us attacking you're bases unless you provoke us and attack us first like what Logan's nephew did to us"

"Unless you guys want to have a taste of our firepower?" Leo grinned maliciously at them which made the people in front of him shiver in fear .

"Ahh! No, no, no! We don't want any trouble, Leader Leo" one of them immediately said in fright while shaking his hands towards Leo .

"Y-yes, we really don't want any trouble with you . Isn't it better to use the bullets towards the zombies instead, right?"

"Hmmp!" Leo snorted as he turned around and walked back inside leaving them helplessly shaking their heads even though they really felt angry inside with the way how Leo treated but they just kept their poker faces in the worse case that the soldiers watching them would suddenly shoot them dead .

"Tsk, how arrogant" one of them snorted when he saw that Leo and his men won't hear him and then he walked back onto the vehicle where his other companions are waiting inside as they immediately left the place .

The other two envoys just looked at each other and smiled as they also went and boarded their own vehicles and left .

"Did they leave?" Leo asked .

A soldier following him turned his head back and then turned back to him and said, "Yes, sir"

"Aish~ those people are so annoying . Don't they know that I'm busy?" Leo clicked his tongue in annoyance .

The people around him just smiled bitterly to themselves as they all thought at the same time .

'I'm sure as hell that I would also grow worried if a group of people with bigger guns suddenly appeared out of nowhere and even took out a neighboring survivor base on the same day'

A few minutes later .

The PELICAN took off in the air as it sped towards the direction of Hope 101, carrying Leo, Alex, Amanda, Michelle, their two wolves and Alastair .

While Zabu, David and David's wife Adison along with her men was left at Northwich to manage and protect the place .

And once they reached Hope 101, they only dropped off Alastair so that he could continue his research on how to open that alien scout ship still back at the cave and after that, they took off again and headed towards Cambridge City as the group assigned there was suddenly faced with a bottleneck on their operation .

Inside the aircraft .

Leo was talking softly to Amanda while the PELICAN was being driven by [GIDEON]

"Are you feeling alright now?" Leo said as he parted Amanda's hair behind her ear .

"Uhmm" Amanda nodded while munching on a sandwich in her hand

"You won't hate me for making you do what you did, right?" Leo said worriedly .

Amanda raised her head and looked at Leo's directly as a smile broke on her face and said, "I won't because I know that you're just worried about me but I can't promise you that I would be able to easily kill someone, especially towards a defenseless person . I'd rather kill someone who could defend him or herself and then, I at least wouldn't feel guilty about it"

"I know because killing someone isn't that easy and that's what makes us human beings because we still have our own moral sense within us and I can't force you again to kill someone but I hope that the time that you need to, that you wouldn't hesitate to shoot someone and kill them"

"Of course" Amanda gave him a bright smile .

Leo smiled as he ruffled her head which made latter glare at him, "I'm not a kid you know and you're just going to mess my hair doing that"

"Haa! But I look like the matured one" Leo gave a laugh .

And Michelle who was watching them smiled .

'I'm glad that these two finally made up'

'I badly want to become strong and somehow assist Leo on his endeavours but sadly I'm pregnant and could only watch him from the sides and the least I could do is to not burden him for worrying about us'

Michelle thought as she clenched her fist as determination flashed in her eyes .
