Stronghold In The Apocalypse 8 Worries

"You guys will stay over at my place for the night and I will drop you guys off at my well protected house or safe house whatever name it can be called tomorrow" Leo said to his family while driving.

"Mom and Dad will stay at my room while the both of us will sleep on the living room" Leo immediately added.

When no one was answering him, he saw on the rear view mirror that both his parents dozed off and at the passenger seat, his sister was busy texting on her phone either she didn't hear what he said or just plainly ignoring him.

Leo just drove in silence and around 7:30 pm they finally reached his place but all of them immediately went to sleep especially Leo who was not only physically but mentally tired too.

"Good, that's is. Great! One more time this time look at the camera. Okay, that's done. We are done here" said the photographer after taking a final shot.

"Thanks for the hard work" Amanda said smiling towards the photographer.

"You too, we'll send you a copy of the photos after we're done on making a few adjustments"

"Alright, I look forward to it" said Amanda.

"You did well Amanda" said her mom.

"Yeah me too but i didn't like the look he was giving me" Amanda smiled but suddenly furrowed her brows when she remembered the look of the photographer as he looked at her.

"Well, it can't be helped that my Amanda is just too beautiful on her swimsuit and It be weird if he wasn't checking you out and it was you that wanted to do this modeling anyway" her mom said as she also understand her worries.

"Hmmm…"

"Come on, go get dress and we'll get some lunch" her mom said as she handed a bag to Amanda.

Amanda immediately went to a closed room and changed as her mom waited.

The mother and daughter exited the building and went to a nearby restaurant.

As they both sat and waited on their orders.

"Amanda, are you still not planning to -" her mother was saying something but was immediately cut off by Amanda.

"Mom, i already know what you're gonna say and my answer is still the same"

"But you're -"

"Mom, look.. As i have said a hundred times already. I still don't want to enter any kind of relationship and I want to fully focus on my career for now, you know that" said Amanda with a really serious look.

"Alright, alright but make sure to get a boyfriend soon" her mother sighed as she really was helpless with her daughter.

Folks, we just received news from New York about several attacks on people with their attackers munching on their victims... flesh? Anyway, here is one of the footage from one of the bystanders around one of the crime scenes.

A footage clearly filmed from a phone appeared on the screen.

"What are you guys doing help her!" a woman's voice was heard yelling on the people beside her on the video.

As a bloodied man can be seen gnawing on the leg and even looking at the camera and the woman there just screamed from pain while the crowd just looked on.

"Help her, Oh my god! He's coming here!" yelled the woman who probably was the one filming and the video was seen shaking as the woman was probably running away. Then gunshot were heard.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

"*Huff* huff* Is he dead?" a slight panting sound was heard as video was back up again.

"Yeah, I think so" said the man in a police uniform and the video was cut there.

The footage was taken on one of the streets in New York. Is this the rumored Zombie or it's just an insane man? You guys be the judge.

The news was cut off and the show earlier on appeared.

"What the heck was that?"

"That was scary"

"I hope the victim was okay and those people there are pieces of shit, they just stood there and watched!"

A lot of disgruntled voices was heard inside the restaurant and even people are seen going in and out from the restrooms, probably throwing up their food they just ate.

"Is it really a Zombie?" Amanda said randomly.

"Come on, that's just an insane man" said her mom with a slight chuckle.

"Maybe…" Amanda said in a low that can only be heard by her and with worried but pondering look on her face…

Manchester, Morning.

The same news was being reported on the TV but with a different footage this time.

"My god! Things just got more complicated" Leo scowled when he saw the news.

"Come on, let's get going guys" Leo urged his family.

"What? Already? Is it because of the news? That was just an insane man, you know" Aria said to her brother unhappily as she haven't finished her breakfast yet.

"Yes, so move it!" Leo said in a stern voice.

"Alright already, you didn't have to raised your voice like that, idiot brother" Aria said as she stood up.

Leo didn't noticed that his parents have been unusually silent the entire time as they just went took their luggage as they both waited Leo and Aria from the front door.

"Let's hurry" Leo urged.

Over an hour.

"We're here" Leo said as they stood on a clearing.

"But there's nothing here" Aria said with a pout but Rachel just rubbed her head instead.

"System, I give permission for my family to enter"

"Yes Host"

Leo said within his mind but in his family's

eyes, they just saw him waving his hand in the air as shocking scene appeared in front of them.

"Kyaaa!" Aria yelled from shock as she stumbled backwards and landed on her butt.

"Bloody Hell!" Henry shouted in astonishment.

And Rachel is just standing there with her eyes wide as her mouth opens and closes.

As Leo saw all this happening, he just smiled while shaking his head and he turned around and started walking towards the gate and his family hurriedly followed.

"A huge wall made of logs and a gate filled with spikes, so you were telling the truth" Henry can be heard muttering and both Rachel and Aria just curiously looked on while still filled astonishment within their hearts.

"My son/brother built this?" Rachel and Aria thought at the same time as their heads can be seen moving from building to building.

"Of course dad, did you think I was bullshiting when I told you guys about this place?" Leo said while looking at his dad.

"Yeah…" Henry said with a bitter laugh.

"Here's our place" Leo said to them as they stood in front of the Main Hall before proceeding inside.

Leo stood in the wide living and wave his hand as all the things he brought appeared and his family isn't even shocked anymore from repeatedly seeing this.

"Dad, can you do the things that needs to be fix here? Like mounting the satt. Dish and solar panels" Leo suddenly said to his dad.

"What? You're not helping" his dad asked looking surprise.

"No, I need to go somewhere" Leo said seriously.

"Where are you going?" his mother who has been silent until now asked as she stood in front of him.

"Uhh.. I need to go and get your future daughter in-law?" Leo smiled warily.

"Where to?" his mom said with a worried tone.

"She's at Los Angeles mom" Leo said in a weak voice fearing that his parents would stop him.

"Hmmm….Alright but you must be careful, okay?" his mom stared at him for a few seconds and sighed to herself before giving him a tight hug.

"Don't worry mom, I will" Leo smiled and hugged back.

"You be careful kid" his dad also hugged him.

"What's with them being emotional all of a sudden?" Leo thought it was weird but just shrugged it off but if he found out that his parents knew that this apocalypse was coming, he would probably shocked beyond core. His parents was also shocked when they found out that their son also knew this and that's also reason why they willingly came with him because they only found out about it a few days ago and they weren't prepared for it. Fortunately, it seems that their son found out about it a long time ago and was able to prepare for the worse.

Of course for the time being, Leo would still not know about it.

"Don't forget to bring me souvenirs, okay?" Aria said as she lazily laid on the sofa munching on some snacks while something on her phone.

Leo just smiled at her sister's behaviour and thought " You won't have that lazy attitude later on brat" and he took out his Thompson and handed to his dad who unconsciously took it with shock in his eyes including his mom.

"I'll put the remaining rounds on the table, you will need it later as the illusion on this place would disappear soon" said Leo as he headed outside without looking back.

"You must come back safe brother" Aria mumbled as she stood on the window looking at her brother's back getting smaller while her parents started cleaning up the mess in silenced with still worried looks.

Even though she sometimes act like she doesn't know anything, her suspicion started when their parents willingly came with her brother when he suddenly dropped bomb after coming back and suddenly telling them that the world will face an Apocalypse and even doing something that can't be explained by logic, at first she didn't really believe it and just tagged along for fun but her suspicions grew when she saw the sudden change of expressions from her parents when they saw the news this morning that even her brother failed to noticed. What made her truly believe this time, is when she heard that her brother is suddenly going to L.A to fetch her future sister in-law when they just got here especially knowing that her brother doesn't have a girlfriend for a long while now. She knows that her brother would always tell her if he has a new girlfriend or something as both of them really doesn't keep secrets from each other except for things that should not be said.

"I wonder what's going to happen to us now?" Aria asked herself before making her way to help her parents tidy up.

At the airport, a plane just took off heading for London before continuing for Los Angeles.

Leo looked out the window " I hope I'll make it in time" he thought worriedly at the same time looking at something.

Time left before the Apocalypse: 45 hours - 59 minutes - 30 seconds and counting.
