Leo then got down from the vehicle followed by Alex.

When Leo opened the Map, he surprisingly found out that there seems to be someone inside fighting a mutated monster when he saw that the dot is far more bigger than the red dots signifying zombies.

"Interesting" Leo said and then he looked at Alex behind him and commanded "Alex, you can go ahead first and look for that treasured vault that Isaac told us"

Yes! The reason that Leo even delayed upgrading his Stronghold was because this treasured vault hidden around the palace. It was something Isaac told him when he heard him worrying about money at which Isaac told him about this information he heard from his friend who "worked" at the palace due to drunkenness during a night out with friends, even though it confused him a lot of why Leo would even need money that just became a mere scrap of paper now.

"Now then, it seems their fight is already over as the life signal of that mutated beast already disappeared. I really want to meet this person who's able to kill a mutated beast and possibly even recruiting him" Leo said smiling as he swiped his hand away as they map disappeared on the air before he stored the vehicle back into his Inventory and entered the palace through the already destroyed gate, with the place practically littered with corpses of people and zombified humans and behind him are burning vehicles and buildings, the smoke almost covering the blue skies.

And surprisingly, Leo was not wearing his Armor, he already decided that he won't be using it unless his life is being threatened, like a wave of zombies surrounding him from all sides or just hostile humans who wants to kill him and plunder his things...and maybe his two wives too?

The reason behind it? It's because he's not stupid enough to think that the Armor would be able to protect him forever, the armor might looked overpowered right now during the early post apocalyptic period but in the later period, it wouldn't be an impossibility to say that its usefulness would decrease a lot during that time. Of course, Leo does not think that the armor would become useless by then because that possibility is practically low, not even one percent.

After all this is just baseless assumptions of him, it just because he's not stupid enough to think that he's very strong right now, he knows that he's just a paper tiger without donning his armor. He might have superhuman abilities with a cheat on top of that but what he lacks the most right now is battle experience, that's also the reason why he bought a few skills from the system for offensive, defensive, support and passive abilities and he also discovered in surprised that passive skills has levels unlike active skills that don't generally levels up.

But there is one thing that he knows for sure, right now humanity might be on the verge of extinction but he sure hell knows that they would also go through the process of evolution, probably not right now but maybe sooner or later, as even the mosquitoes and cockroaches are still the same as of right now.

That time when humans finally evolves, their strength would probably be around the stats of a normal Level 3 unlike Leo who had absurd stats due to his Title but even then, a human gaining evolution would probably just occur in one among a ten million population.

Arriving at a blasted hole along the wall of the palace…

Leo donned his Armor for safety, after all the direction he's going is the place where the person who managed to kill a mutated beast is at and with that person's skill, killing Leo might be impossible if he just escape from him but a direct confrontation is something he does want to occur, he might be able to kill him really easily if he depends on his equipment but without it, he's just sending himself to death even with an absurd high stats just because of his lack of battle experience. After all, until now, he just smashed any obstacles on his way with sheer brute force.

Arriving at his destination, he was actually got startled when he find out the headless corpse of the mutated beast but it wasn't the beast that surprised him but instead the numbers floating above the dead corpse.

When Leo saw it, his pupils constricted in surprised as he didn't expect that the mutated that got killed was Level 10, even though it's easy for him to kill something of these level but a human without an absurd strength like him would just get themselves killed facing it.

Leo then smiled from his helmet as he looked at the bloodied man covered in cuts and bruises along with a surprising large claw mark on his chest whom still firmly holding at his weapon that already broke in half/ Leo was surprised a bit that this person who looks dead right now is still alive and breathing and might have just fallen asleep due to an emergency shutdown caused by his own body, suffering with multiple injuries.

Leo then walked over in front of the man and gazed at him with curiosity and his desire to recruit him became more firmer and he said "Interesting, truly interesting. For someone to actually exist to be able to fight a monster of that caliber head on and still prevail in the end, with the most surprising thing is that you're still alive and sleeping soundly even with your severe injuries"

"Hmm..should I help with his injuries? A man of his caliber would be a great addition to the group. I'll help him with his injuries for now or he'll die sooner or later if I don't. I'll ask him to join me when he wakes up and if he doesn't agree, then I'll beat him so bad that he would eventually submit to me, kukuku" Leo laughed as he took out something from his inventory, it was a low grade health potion he bought from the system for 500 Defender Coins.

Leo then poured its content on every wound of the man's body as his body mended itself, its regeneration which can seen within the naked eyes.

"Hmm? So it would leave a scar, huh" Leo said when he saw that the man's injuries left scars from his injuries. Leo then got up and looked around the hall and when he saw a chair he was looking, he went and picked it up and sat on it from the opposite direction of the man.

Leo then took off his armor and pointed his rifle's muzzle towards the defenseless man, clearly still on guard towards him.

A few minutes later, Leo was starting to get really bored as he started taking things that looks expensive around the palace hallway from paintings, expensive looking ancient vases even those old gold plated chandelier wasn't spared but sadly all of it only amounted to a mere £1,789,000.

Just as Leo was grumbling how low the system appraised the items are, he finally remembered something very important that he forgot earlier due to how shocked he was of the man earlier.

"The beast core and its freaking meat!" Leo exclaimed as he finally remembered, it was because he felt that he was forgetting something earlier but can't just quite put his mind onto it.

Leo then ran towards the headless body and immediately took out a knife and carefully started dissecting the part where the heart is located as he clearly remembered before that Tom told him that he found the Beast Core of the Mutated Mountain Lion from before near where the heart is.

"This..its not here" Leo said when he discovered that the beast core isn't around the heart and then he remembered a possibility, Leo then looked towards the decapitated head while wiping the blood on his hand on the nearby carpet before he stood up as he walked towards it "If it's not around the heart then it should located in its head and if it's not there then the last place would be around its stomach" he said while looking the at the head of mutated beast, he then raised one of his feet and put it on top of the head and crushed the head into pieces as blood and brain matters splattered across the floor.

Leo then smiled as he picked up something from the ground, it was crystal covered in flesh and blood, the size of a thumb.

Leo then walked back towards the headless body and stored it inside his Inventory. He plans to share the meat with his family for now and not the others, he wants them to gain more strength and power to protect themselves as not everyone he brings back in the future would be a good person. After all, if a person's greed for power overcomes his reason then the possibility of someone rebelling in the future is not an impossibility.

"Hehe, if in the future someone really plans to bite the hand that helped them to survive from the dangers outside the wall, then I will make sure he/she dies a horrible death!" Leo said with a smile as cold lights flashed within his eyes.

Then he noticed that the blonde haired man is starting to wake up, Leo smiled as he walked over towards his chair and sat there while pointing his rifle towards the man.
