Stronghold In The Apocalypse 33 Rescue Mission Again?

"Is that all of them?" Leo asked with a bit of a pale face as put his weapon back.

Dylan jumped off from the tank, pale and covered in sweat followed by Alex who didn't even break a sweat and said "More of less a quarter of the entire zombies in the city sir"

Leo agreed as he also checked his map and he saw that there are still a lot of them wondering around the city but they are slowing drawing near them.

Leo then looked at the new addition for the camp, the three soldiers, Dylan and his group are looking at something with pale faces, all of them are even vomiting on the ground except for the three former soldiers and Olivia whose eyes are being covered by her brother Jacob who also avoided seeing what's in front of them, he shook his head and bitterly smiled while he thought "Well, even I feel uncomfortable seeing it"

What Leo was talking about was the couple of small hill created by the zombie wave earlier. Even though they are zombies who died, in their eyes they are still human corpses who just got infected and Leo didn't know if the should be feeling right now.

"You guys done? We need get away from here" Leo said.

They force themselves not to look at the scene in front of them but sadly they can't help but to glance at it from time to time, which made them grimace as they tried to hold themselves off from vomiting.

"Come on! You'll get used to it sooner or later cause if you don't you will probably not have the appetite to eat for a few days" Leo urge them in a stern voice before he laughed it off at the end.

"Dylan, go back with the others" Leo said as Dylan gave a weak nod before hurrying back and joined the rest inside his car.

"You three, ride on top of the tank for the time being" Leo pointed at Isaac and the other two soldiers.

""Yes Sir!"" they said at the same time but Leo shook his head when he heard what they said.

"Alex, what's the status of the tank?" Leo turned to Alex and asked.

"Out of the two thousand cannon shells, there's only nine hundred seventy three left and sixty seven thousand seven hundred eight left out of the one hundred thousand bullets for the turret and the Scorpion Tank status is all green but it won't be able to fire for half an hour or the barrel will be damage, Commander" Alex reported respectfully.

"Hmm..that's to be expected if it was the tank today, it would have already collapse from its continuous usage of over one thousand cannon shells for hours non-stop" Leo nodded in understanding.

"But it's still driveable, right?"

"Yes, sir"

"Good, Isaac!" Leo nodded then called out to Isaac.

Isaac immediately jumped down from the tank and hastily walked towards Leo.

"Si-Boss!" Isaac was about to say 'sir' but immediately changed it when he saw Leo's face who looks uncomfortable being called sir. Leo is also a bit annoyed at Alex as he keeps calling him sir but sadly he can't change how Alex addresses him as it was firmly imprinted on his protocols to call him like that.

"I heard earlier that the reason you and the other two is to find your families, correct?" even though Leo already heard it earlier even from a distance because of his very sensitive hearing, he still asked him for confirmation.

"Yes Boss!" Isaac answered with anticipation in his voice.

"Hmm..now that we're still here. We'll go look for your families and the rest too" Leo said as he patted his shoulders.

Isaac, Edward, Jones and Mark who just stepped out from the car revealed joyful looks when they heard that Leo is willing to accompany them to look for the families, as these people have been worrying about on how to property tell Leo to get his help to look for their families.

"Thank you so much, Boss!" all of them said with grateful looks.

Mark hurriedly went inside the car and told them the good news which made all of them smile in joy except for Jacob and Olivia who does not even know what's the situation of their parents as they weren't together when the apocalypse just started like a hammer striking them on their heads from out of nowhere.

"Edward, go call the others here" Leo said to Edward who's a black british and then Leo handed his DMR for the time being to Alex and ordered him to keep a lookout and eliminate all hostiles who stumbles near them.

Edward immediately went to call the others inside the Hummer and all of them hastily gathered towards Leo in just a few seconds.

Then Leo saw Dylan carrying Olivia which raised an eyebrow as he was really curious if he was just acting like a good kid in front of him by carrying her or he's just a truly helpful guy.

And Leo seeing this beautiful little girl who probably haven't enjoyed her little life for a long time due to her disability made him pity her, then in his mind he said "System, is there anyway to cure someone who's paralyzed on their lower body?"

"A person with any kind of disability can eat the meat of a Level 30 Mutated Beast"

"What!? Level 30? Where the fuck do I find that high level monster!? God, it would probably kill me in a single strike with my current strength" Leo was shocked because the highest leveled Beast that he saw so far was the one they roasted back at LA and even if he found one right now, he still wouldn't provoke it especially now that he's still stuck at Level 9 even though he already killed thousands upon thousands of zombies but the still didn't level up which made him depressed as he probably figured out that he needs to kill more zombies or a far more powerful mutated beast.

"Pity, I really want to help her. I'll just help her my level is high enough to hunt a Level 30 Beast, that is if I found one" Leo sighed helplessly.

The others in front of him are feeling uncomfortable as they keep fidgeting as Leo was just looking at them with expressions that changes every few seconds.

Leo then snapped out of his thoughts when he finally noticed their expressions which made him laughed and he said "Sorry about that, I was thinking of something" they didn't say anything and just nodded their heads as they looked at him with anticipation.

Leo felt weird being looked like that, that he just laughed it off and he said "Isaac, do you guys have a map of the city?"

James immediately said "Sir- I mean Boss, I have a map here" he took out a map from his pocket as he joyfully handed it to him but when he saw Leo's questioning look, he scratched the the back of his head and said awkwardly "Don't worry boss, the Captain and the rest have their own maps, this was a map i got at the building we were staying at earlier"

Leo face eased as he nodded, he wasn't actually expecting for them to have a map as he just casually asked Isaac about it but he didn't expect this former soldier James to have one on him which made him displeased earlier as he thought that he was being selfish to not even hand an important item like a map to his former comrades earlier. After all, a map is very important at this time especially now that they can't access the internet and even if a person who lived at a place for a few years now, doesn't mean they are already very familiar of every nook or cranny of the town or city they lived at.

Leo knowing that Captain Charles has a map of their own made him sighed in relief and if James did really steal their map then Leo wouldn't have even hesitate to kick him as he wouldn't trust someone who would immediately forget the people who trusted their backs at him, for him he would accept anyone as long they wouldn't cross his bottomline like murdering innocent people, enslaving them, raping women, traitorous bastards and snakes wearing a human skin.

After all he also has a good impression of Charles when they met.

'He's a good soldier' Leo thought.

Even James and Isaac angry looks disappeared when they were glaring at Edward earlier. After all, they still care a lot of their former comrades even though they were already dismissed of their duties, it was the reason why they felt so angry earlier when they both heard that Edward has a map on him as they both thought that it was the map they were using before they left, fortunately for them it wasn't.

"Don't look at me like that. I'm not that kind of an ungrateful bastard" Edward laughed awkwardly when he saw the looks of Isaac and James.

Isaac smiled and he said in a cold tone "I would have killed you immediately if you were"

The others who heard him, felt their blood run cold except Leo who was laughing inside and he thought while looking at Isaac "It seems I've picked up someone who values camaraderie, kukuku!"

"Alright, tell me where your places are located" Leo spread the map as he gestured for them to point where their houses are.
