Stronghold In The Apocalypse 156 She-Devil!

Captain Reed along with his men are brought inside the Stronghold where they brought in front of Rachel inside the main hall of the mansion where armed soldiers surrounded them on all sides.

People would pissing themselves by now being surrounded by armed people but this seven men are instead looking around the place with eyes full of curiosity like a tourist would when visiting another country for the first time.

Five seconds passed and the guys didn't answer her question so the soldier who were near to Rachel suddenly yelled angrily at them.

"Oi! Didn't you guys hear the Colonel asking you a question!? Speak or we'll blast you with holes! Bastards!"

"Eh? What was your question again?" Captain Reed finally remembered they were captured and he showed an embarrassed smile as he said those words.

"I'm Rachel Harrison Wood, the current acting leader of this place. Who are you people? Where have you come from and why are you people wearing the clothes of military men? Are you truly soldiers or are you guys just wearing it for fun?" her voice turned colder by the second that it even sent shivers down the spines of the soldiers inside the hall as they suddenly had a reminiscence of the hell like punishment and training they had endured

But Reed didn't answer but just stared at her with his eyes slowly widening in shock and disbelief!

"Sir"

"Sir!" Rick who was beside him nervously nudge him as he felt the atmosphere around the room becoming tense.

"Uhh..w-what!?" Reed blurted out then he suddenly raised his voice and said, "Harrison..Harrison. Wait! Could it be that you're the rumored She-D- I mean Major Rachel Harrison back in the The Parachute Regiment!?"

"Sir, what are you talking about? This is no time for chit-chat" Rick leaned towards him and whispered in panic!

His men didn't expect him to break out of character and saw him started acting like a crazed fan that just saw his or her idol for the first time!

Reed just seemed that he didn't hear Rick at all and he even whispered to them, "Hear me out, you guys had probably heard about this legend back at the British Army about a woman nicknamed She-Devil and that person is her! I saw a portrait of her back in the day when she was a bit younger! She is one of the most decorative soldiers in the British Army before she retired!"

"She has received a Victoria Cross, George Cross and many others but the most famous one was when she received a Medal of Honor from the US Army! She was so famous back then for not only because of her bravery and also because of her beauty that a lot of officers even including those in the high command had tried to hit on her but all of them failed ruthlessly! And in all of those years that she had served in the army, it was mentioned that she had never ever received even a single gunshot wound even in the face of an immense firefight and that was also one of the reasons of how she received her nickname as a She-Devil because not only was she brave and gets excited in the face of death, she also has a Devil's Luck! She was like the female version of Rambo back then!

"She was a literal living legend with all of the women soldiers and with also a lot of men looking up to her as a role model back in the day!"

"And then she suddenly got married and retired! I heard that an asshole managed to snag her! Then news about her disappeared but her legend continued on as it still being talked to this day!"

Henry who was standing beside his wife looked angrily at Reed as the edge of his mouth was twitching constantly because that "asshole" was him! But at the same time, he also felt proud at having an amazing wife like her because he was also serving at the same time as her back then and had heard a lot of stories about his wife and till this day, he still doesn't have a single clue of why he even managed to snag this badass and beautiful wife of his!

Reed didn't know that his whisper was actually so loud that the other people in the room could clearly hear the words that he was saying and the survivors who are hearing this story for the first time can't help but send a glance of admiration towards her as they started whispering with each other!

For this people who were civilians before the Apocalypse, this medals symbolizes honor in the family. It was like a silent boasting to their neighbors that they have an excellent child in their family!

But then the only voice that could be heard in the hall was Reed who is still talking and Rachel who is slowly walking towards Reed and his men with a smile on her face.

Rick and Vin constantly nudged their Captain for him to just shut up for a second but he just ignored them and continued talking, oblivious to the danger that's heading towards him.

And the soldiers who are on the side were watching the scene in front of them with smiles on their faces as they waited for an amazing scene to happen.

Then Rachel stood in front of Reed who finally stopped talking when he noticed Rachel standing in front of him while Rick and the others showed her a nervous and helpless smile.

"If I didn't get it wrong, you're known as Captain Reed. The leader of this group?" Rachel showed him a warm smile but for the others who were a bit familiar with that smile all shivered in fear but they also felt excited that another person would soon "join" them!

"Yes! I'm Captain Reed of the Delta Force and I'm a huge f- Ooff~!" Reed was still happily introducing himself when he suddenly went limp and fell on the ground while clutching his stomach as he started foaming from his mouth as he fell unconscious!

"Captain!" his men immediately ran towards his side in worry and shock!

They didn't expect for him to just go down like that! They had seen him fight numerous soldiers in the trainings before but they had never saw him go down once like that!

And he got knocked out from single punch in the stomach! Just a single punch from Rachel and he's already dead unconscious on the ground!

Rick, Vin, Ned and others looked up at the smiling Rachel as they gulped down nervously as they only had one thought in their minds!

'She really is the She-Devil! What monstrous strength!'

And the others who are watching from the sidelines were all laughing inside.

'It's because you were such a blabbermouth that you're suffering now! Next time, just answer her directly and don't talk about things unrelated to her question!'

Then Rachel looked around her and said while massaging her fist, "Anyone else wants to say something?"

All of them immediately shook their heads like frightened chickens!

Rachel then smiled and then looked at the soldiers near her and said, "Send them all to the Prison Quarters! Bring them to me again once this asshole wakes up"

She said as she gave a slight kick towards Reeds.

""Yes ma'am!""

The three soldiers immediately gave her a salute and hastily led them to the Prison Quarters as Rick and Vin immediately picked up their Captain from the floor.

Once all of the soldiers left, Henry approached his wife and said, "Did you really need to do that?"

Rachel looked at him and raised an eyebrow and she said, "It's because he won't shut up! Hearing those stories are making me embarrassed! That stupid idiot!"

Henry smiled lovingly while looking at her currently red-faced wife who is holding her cheeks in embarrassment like a shy woman!

And at the same time, he felt blessed as he went over to her side and rubbed her head lovingly.

It was because he was the only man who can see this side of his wife even their children wasn't an exception!

Who was once called a She-Devil back then!
