Ye Shaoyang felt slightly at peace, as he knew that the fire would burn the demon alive and turn it into a lump of hard coal. At this time, a nest of beetle-sized insects crawled out from the demon’s split skin and left the cinnabar net through the gaps. These insects had a greyish-green outer shell. The Hellfire had burned some, but most of them had managed to escape. They crawled toward Ye Shaoyang at a very fast pace.

That creature seemed to know that Ye Shaoyang was hard to deal with. After the latter threw it off, it quickly flew toward Old Guo.

Then, it flew back to the demon’s head and entered its skull through a hole.

Ye Shaoyang felt shocked, “What creature is this? How did it live inside the demon? What is the relationship between them?”

At this moment, the demon had already torn off the cinnabar net completely. The Hellfire had burned away all its yellow fur. But its greyish-white inner skin seemed to protect it from the Hellfire. Xiao Ma felt excited; as if this scene had aroused his combative spirit. He watched on as Ye Shaoyang and Old Guo fought delightfully with the Kappa. He stepped forward, waited for the right time, and grasped the Kappa’s legs tightly. Then, he shouted, “Old Guo, chop with all your strength now!”

Old Guo sliced his fingertip and wiped his blood onto the date wood sword. Then, he chanted aloud, “O'Mighty Heaven and Earth, with the Power of Yin Yang, Destroy!” He chopped at the Kappa’s legs. Old Guo’s power let the blunt date wood sword chop into its legs. An audible and loud crackling sound rang out, as its legs fractured.

“Owwwww….” The Kappa cried out loudly. It clasped its two sharp-blade like hands and thrust at Xiao Ma’s head.

“Watch out!” Without time to think, Old Guo directly kicked Xiao Ma's face, which sent the latter’s body to the side. Just as Xiao Ma was about to scold Old Guo, the Kappa’s hands suddenly stabbed at least three inches into the cement floor.

Xiao Ma was paralysed with fear. If those hands had stabbed into his head, such a terrible force could smash his head like a mushy persimmon. He felt that Old Guo’s kick to his face was better than a headshot from the Kappa. Xiao Ma panted. Just as he barely caught his breath, the Kappa pulled out its hands and thrust at his head again.
