“Big Brother Shaoyang, watch out!” Zhuang Yuning shouted.

Xiao Ma laughed indifferently, “Ah, don't worry about him. If the spirit can successfully pull down Little Ye's soul, I will address it as my grandfather.”

“It is at least a few hundred years old; too old to be your grandfather, dude.” Ye Shaoyang joked as he drew the curse on his palm. His feet stood firm on the ground as though he had nailed his feet to the floor. No matter how hard the spirit pulled, his feet did not move at all.

When Ye Shaoyang finished drawing the Soul Extorting Curse, he squatted down and grasped on one of its hands with his right hand. With a pull and a jump, he dragged a body covered in blood from the blood pool. It was the terrifying looking spirit with long hair covering it from head to toe.

The spirit roared; its hair scattered, resembling a few giant snakes and slithered toward Ye Shaoyang.

Ye Shaoyang was not bother about its attack. He raised his left palm and smacked its forehead. The curse was now sealed on its forehead.

“All Daoist crafts belong to one, extort the soul!” Ye Shaoyang initiated the hand seal for the Soul Extorting Curse. His middle finger stabbed at the glabella of the spirit. It shook for a while, stupefied. Its mouth opened and gradually released a mouthful of black Spirit Qi.

He formed another hand seal and shouted, “Extort!” The Spirit Qi automatically flowed toward his fingers and formed a black paste-like thing on his finger. He wiped it away with a talisman paper and turned to look at the stupefied spirit on the ground.

Zhuang Yuning had just recovered from her surprise, “That's all? It is dead?”

“I have exterminated its soul, leaving behind only its spirit body.”

Zhuang Yuning only realized now that Ye Shaoyang had done everything. She looked at him with amazement. This was the first time she had watched him subdue a spirit. What a confident and elegant man!

Recalling Mr. Zhu telling them that many sorcerers had failed to save her, Ye Shaoyang killed it in such a short moment and in such relaxed manner. She started to worship him more.

Looking at Zhu Zhongying who was still lying unconsciously on her bed, Zhuang Yuning asked, “When will she wake up?”

“She would still remain unconscious as she has lost two Po. I have to help her in gathering her soul.” As Ye Shaoyang replied, he stared at the spirit and scratched his head, “The spirit had almost cultivated her two Po entirely. I have to spend more time to gather the soul with Maoshan secret techniques.”

Ye Shaoyang heaved a sigh of relief. Luckily, he was the one handling this. Otherwise, a typical sorcerer would have a tough time keeping the spirit body in one piece without hurting the two Po of Zhu Zhongying trapped in the spirit body. He regretted acting cool in front of Mr. Zhu. Thirty thousand was definitely insufficient for this treatment.

Ye Shaoyang drew a Soul Gathering Talisman Paper and stuck it onto the spirit body's face. Then, he took out a white plastic bottle from his backpack. The white bottle had many holes on its cover. As he shook the bottle along the spirit body, white powders dropped onto it.

The first idea that came to Xiao Ma's mind was roast kebab with pepper. He scratched the back of his head and asked, “Don't tell me you are thinking of eating it?”

Ye Shaoyang rolled his eyes, “This is Spirit Revealing Powder. The spirit appears as an image in the mortal world. After applying the powder, the spirit will become a real body.”

Indeed, the transparent spirit body gradually turned vivid. Moments later, it became just like a typical human.

“Whoa!” Xiao Ma exclaimed, “But why do you want her to be in a physical form since you have killed it?”

“I need it to be in physical form, so I can refine its bone and get the two Po back. Get one bag of quicklime from Mr. Zhu. If he doesn't have some, just go and get some as soon as possible.”

Xiao Ma immediately exited the room.

Within fifteen minutes, Xiao Ma pushed open the door with Mr. Zhu behind him, carrying a bag of quicklime.

“Damn, you are super-fast,” said Ye Shaoyang in surprise.

“There is a renovation company nearby. I quickly rushed there and bought some.” As Mr. Zhu spoke, he rushed toward Zhu Zhongying and checked her pulse. He felt relieved when he found out that she was fine. Next, he started to study the spirit lying motionless on the ground.

Even though Xiao Ma had briefed him on the whole incident, and he had mentally prepared himself before looking at the spirit, he too became puzzled once he saw it; it looked like a typical human.

Ye Shaoyang instructed Xiao Ma to pour the quicklime in a rectangular shape on the ground. Next, they moved the spirit body into the quicklime. Then, Ye Shaoyang lifted its shirt and stabbed at its heart with the Soul Quelling Stake. Foul smelling black blood oozed out and was immediately absorbed by the quicklime. Only then the others realized the function of quicklime and felt that the scene they were watching was cruel.

The Soul Quelling Stake cut along the sternum and stopped at the middle of its abdomen. He took out a box of needles, picked up eight thick needles, and divided them into two groups. Then, he inserted the needles along the wound, opposite to each other and held it open. They could see the gut, intestines, and other internal organs in its abdomen, just like a normal human.

Ye Shaoyang cast a talisman paper into its abdominal cavity, recited an incantation, and the talisman paper ignited. The internal organs turned into black blood and flowed out to the quicklime through the wound.

After cleaning the contents in its abdomen, Ye Shaoyang cut eight ribs with the Soul Quelling Stake and placed them in a casserole from Mr. Zhu's house.

Xiao Ma felt sick of watching this, but he intentionally said, “Grab some bean sprouts, add some water, stew them, and you will have stew spirit ribs as your meal.”

“Ewww, stop it!” Zhuang Yuning glared at him.

However, Ye Shaoyang did not pour water into the casserole. Instead, he reached out for the plastic bottle of mermaid oil. He poured some into the casserole, added a little sulphur, and ignited them with talisman paper. Then, he inserted the Great Coin of Carving into the casserole and sat crossed leg and muttered incantations.

The spirit bones gradually turned into a greenish liquid and half-filled the casserole. After twenty minutes or so, the greenish fluid evaporated. Xiao Ma and the others peeped inside the casserole and saw that there was nothing else left in it, other than the coin, which was tainted in darkish-green color.

Ye Shaoyang picked up the coin and moved to the bed. He stuffed the coin into Zhu Zhongying's mouth, below the tongue, and pressed on her philtrum with his right middle finger, “The Great Coin shall repair, and the fire will revive the soul at once!”
