It was raining cats and dogs. Lightning struck the air occasionally and lit up the house. Everything seemed normal.

On the other side, Zhuang Yuning was cringing away on her bed. Suddenly, she remembered something, and within a second, she picked up her cell phone and called Ye Shaoyang, her hands trembling. The phone connected after a few rings, “Big Brother Shaoyang, the ghost, the ghost is here. Help me!”

There was no reply. Slowly, a baby's cries sounded over the phone and a deep voice shouted, “Mummy, mummy--”

“No!” Zhuang Yuning screamed. She smashed her phone on the floor and crawled back to the wall. The window screeched and opened again. A head covered in short hair popped in.

The Spirit Repelling Bell rang non-stop.

Ye Shaoyang woke up with a start. He tried to sense the surroundings with his power. He was shocked when he heard rings from the bell. He did not expect the spirit to act so soon.

Luckily, he had decided to wear his belt to sleep. He jumped out of his bed, dressed up, grasped his backpack, and ran out of the room. Bang! He knocked into someone outside of the room. Planning to fight back, Xiao Ma's voice sounded, “It is me, Little Ye!”

“What are you doing here?!” Ye Shaoyang asked in a surprised tone.

“I heard footsteps. I opened to check and saw Yuyu running downstairs, so I planned to wake you up.”

Ye Shaoyang listened carefully and heard messy footsteps downstairs. He hurried in the direction of the footsteps; Xiao Ma followed him.

Upon arriving on the ground floor, a strong wind blew at once, along with some drizzling rain. Ye Shaoyang examined the surroundings. The door connected to the garden was opened. A figure in red pajamas was running and staggering around the garden and screaming in fear relentlessly.

“It is Yuyu. Why is she out there this late at night?” Xiao Ma asked, shocked.

Ye Shaoyang did not answer his question. He ran out while shouting at Zhuang Yuning to stop, but she seemed to be unable to hear him. Pushing open the small gate of the yard, she left the house.

Ye Shaoyang and Xiao Ma followed. The rain splashed onto the two, but they barely bothered about it and caught up with Zhuang Yuning's figure. Reaching the gate of the residential, Zhuang Yuning's figure disappeared into the pitch-black street.

“Where is she?” Xiao Ma wiped away the rain on his face as he shouted at Ye Shaoyang.

Ye Shaoyang had no idea where she went. In his mind, he started to think of a few possible ways to track her, but he quickly disbanded the ideas. His Daoist crafts were useless in such bad weather. Suddenly, both of them heard someone sobbing in a direction.

Ye Shaoyang rushed in the direction and dived into a small garden beside the road. Zhuang Yuning was running past a statue with her face buried in her hands.

Without hesitation, Ye Shaoyang took out a talisman paper, cut his fingertip, drew a few symbols, and cast in the heavy rain. His thumb slashed in front of the paper, and he recited an incantation, “The power of Yin Yang is boundless, the Great One produces water and water returns and joins with the Great One!”

Surprisingly, the talisman paper did not get wet in the rain. Instead, it flew quickly in the direction of Zhuang Yuning.

Ye Shaoyang remained there, muttering incantations with his eyes closed. After a while, he sensed some changes in the talisman paper. Feeling relieve a little, he heaved and said, “Finally, I can sense her location. Let's go.” As he spoke, he ran in one direction.

Xiao Ma sped up and asked curiously, “That's amazing. How could a talisman paper repel the water and fly in the rain?”

“That's a The Great One Talisman Paper; it is specifically used in water. It can track the Qi of a mortal.”

Ye Shaoyang tracked down the location of The Great One Talisman Paper. As they ran across a few streets, they felt shocked about the running speed of Zhuang Yuning. She was way too fast; it seemed beyond reasonable limits to run at such high speed, even if a spirit had possessed her.

A glimmer of suspicion flashed through Ye Shaoyang's mind, but he dismissed the thought at once. He was quite sure that the Qi that he sensed from The Great One Talisman Paper belonged to Zhuang Yuning. So, he cleared his mind and kept tracking her.

On the third floor of the villa, the window was wide open. The pale-looking boy had torn apart the red thread and entered the room, landing on the ground on all fours.

Zhuang Yuning was completely dumbstruck, curling around at the corner; she did nothing but stare at the pale-looking boy crawling slowly toward her. It crawled in an awkward position, with its body almost touching the ground, as it swung its body violently like a reptile. Every step it crawled, the sound of bones rubbing against each other at the joints made the scene even more terrifying.

It crawled to the edge of the bed. With a hop, it jumped onto the bed and sat in front of Zhuang Yuning. Its head tilted as it glared at her with a pair of reddened eyes. In the face of such a horrific scene, Zhuang Yuning still somehow noticed that the boy did not have a mouth.

Suddenly, its face twitched; a fissure cracked open over the location of the mouth till its ears. Green and red fluid flowed out between the gap of its milky white baby teeth.

“Mummy….” It sounded as if it was crying, as it extended its arms and pounced toward Zhuang Yuning like it wanted a hug from her.

Crash! A purple aura shot from Zhuang Yuning's chest. She understood that the talisman had broken into pieces.

At this critical moment, she recalled Ye Shaoyang's words. Exhaling at her right palm, she raised her right hand and struck the boy's face, hard.

She felt a tingling sensation on her right palm. The boy screeched as its body trembled violently; it fell from the bed and dived underneath it.

The survival instinct seemed to give some strength to Zhuang Yuning. She jumped off her bed and rushed toward the room door. Thank God, the door opened once she pulled at the handle. Without any delay, she ran to Ye Shaoyang's room on the second floor. Again, she was puzzled. The room door was open and Ye Shaoyang was not in the room!

She ran to Xiao Ma's room and found the same situation.

“Heavenly Master Ye, Heavenly Master Ye!” Zhuang Yuning shouted a few times, but no one replied. At the same time, she heard footsteps from the third floor. Then, she saw a white, small foot walking down the stairs.

Zhuang Yuning had no choice but to escape to the ground floor, where she found the small gate opened. Without hesitation, she sped out and exited. The rain soaked her thin pajamas, but she did not bother about it and kept running. She knew she would die if she waited for Ye Shaoyang in the house.

She ran toward the security hut and hammered the door, shouting for help.

The door flung open.
