It looked like a human, but its appearance was terrifying. Its body was a shiny green as if it was filled with green fluid. It sat on her shoulder and hugged her neck. It licked her neck.

Suddenly, the spirit sensed something different. It looked at the mirror, jumped up, and tried to escape.

Ye Shaoyang was prepared. He raised his palm and smacked it on its head. The spirit groaned. It rolled on the ground and laid on its stomach, looking fiercely at Ye Shaoyang.

After Ye Shaoyang revealed its body, everyone could see it without the aid of the Eight-Trigram Mirror. Xiao Xie recovered from the shock. She screamed as she retreated to the door. Tang Hai was terrified too, but he stood in front of her with his arms extended.

Xiao Ma and Old Guo were startled when they saw it. Then, they started to study the spirit.

“What the hell is that?” Xiao Ma stood by Xiao Xie staring at the green spirit. His voice was full of curiosity and no fear.

“The dream-eating spirit,” answered Old Guo, “The dream-eating spirits come from the underworld and are commonly seen. They like to drink the sweat of women, cultivate, and consume blood later.”

Xiao Ma supported his chin and shook his head and sighed, “It looks so ugly.”

Xiao Xie almost fainted, but she could not believe that Xiao Ma was still interested in discussing the spirit’s appearance. She muttered, “Aren’t you afraid?”

“No. This is nothing,” Old Guo laughed.

“I am not afraid even if I can’t defeat it.” Xiao Ma pouted at Ye Shaoyang, “There is nothing to be afraid when he is here.”

Xiao Xie and Tang Hai switched their gaze to Ye Shaoyang.

Ye Shaoyang stooped down at the ugly green spirit looking leisurely. On the contrary, the spirit appeared nervous and kept retreating. Suddenly, it cried in despair, sprung up and spat a mouthful of green fluid at Ye Shaoyang.

He looked back at the dream-eating spirit. It did not launch another attack. A strange voice came from its throat. A dozen colors flashed across its eyes and would make one feel sick after staring too long. Xiao Xie and the others felt sleepy and began to doze off.

“How dare you play tricks on them! I will teach you a lesson!” Ye Shaoyang initiated a hand seal and slapped its head. Before it managed to fight back, he seized it and stuck a talisman paper on its head to absorb it.

His hands were covered in green fluid, which was corrosive to human skin but did not have any effect on him. However he did felt disgusted, so he went to the washroom and washed it away. As he came out, he saw that Xiao Xie and Tang Hai had remained in the same position and stared at him with wide eyes.

“Is everything okay?” Xiao Xie’s voice trembled.

“Yeah,” Ye Shaoyang turned around and looked at the dirty wall, filling the house with a rotten smell. Then, he said to Xiao Ma, “200 Yuan for cleaning the wall.”

“Only two hundred Yuan?” Xiao Ma protested.

“Too little? You think you have become a big boss with some cash now? Fine!.”

Xiao Ma gave a second thought. Cleaning the wall would not take more than half an hour, and two hundred Yuan could be considered good pay. So, he went to the washroom and filled up a pale of water and started wiping the wall with a cloth while Ye Shaoyang and Old Guo swept and mopped the floor respectively. The three of them had forgotten the existence of Xiao Xie and Tang Hui.

“No wonder I was having nightmares recently. It was because of that spirit,” Xiao Xie mumbled as she touched her neck. All that time, the spirit was sitting on her shoulder and licking her neck. No wonder she kept feeling itchy. A cold sensation ran down her spine. It was so scary and disgusting.

“Er, Heavenly Master Ye, since you have captured it, it will not disturb me anymore, right?”

“Certainly.”

Xiao Xie let out a long sigh and felt thankful to Ye Shaoyang, “Heavenly Master, please give me your account number. I will transfer the money later.”

“Hold on. You can pay after we have completely settled the matter,” Ye Shaoyang put the mop aside and looked at her.

The rest were shocked including Old Guo. He wiped his eyes with Qixing grass and found out Xiao Xie was covered with Yin Qi, but he could not see a spirit around her.

Ye Shaoyang continued, “I believe the sorcerers that you hired knew about it. But why didn't they catch it? Because the evil being is powerful and fierce, the sorcerers did not dare to touch it.”

Xiao Xie’s legs gave way after listening to his words. She cried and begged, “Heavenly Master, where is the spirit? You must capture it. Please!”

Ye Shaoyang shook his hand and said, “It is not around you now. I don’t know what it is, but from the concentration of Yin Qi around you, I can conclude it is a powerful spirit.”

Xiao Xie hesitated, “Why would it leave suddenly?”

“Because you came to find me. It’s afraid of me, and it is its last resort to offend me.”

It was common to hear a human afraid of ghosts. In contrast, a spirit in the mortal world or underworld would hide from the Heavenly Master of the Maoshan Sect. None of them dared to offend him without reason, not even a Spirit Overlord.

Ye Shaoyang felt nothing about the facts he told Xiao Xie, but she was amazed and felt how lucky that she had finally found a great sorcerer. Again, she begged piteously, “Heavenly Master, please save me!”
