Ye Shaoyang did not answer. Instead, he grabbed Li Leqing’s feverish arm and pushed a stream of Gang Qi into the man’s body. Ye Shaoyang frowned a little as he completed a cycle of circulation of Gang Qi in Li Leqing’s body. He let go of the arm.

Ye Shaoyang tasted the soup and coughed in disgust, “Who cooked this?”

“I did,” Xiao Ling stared at Ye Shaoyang nervously. “Is there something wrong with the soup?”

“With what ingredients?”

“Lotus seed, dried longan, and some meat floss.”

“Show me the meat floss,”Ye Shaoyang instructed.

Xiao Ling stared at Ye Shaoyang in confusion. Li Ansheng patted her gently on the shoulder, “Don’t worry, Mr. Ye is only here to help. Just do as he told you.”

Xiao Ling quickly walked out of the room, and before long, she returned with a bowl of meat floss in her hands. Ye Shaoyang grabbed a pinch of the meat floss and tasted it. Then he asked, “Only that in the soup? Nothing else?”

Xiao Ling anxiously nodded.

Ye Shaoyang was silent for a while. He looked around the room and he finally said, “I think we are all tired today. Let’s call it a day, we’ll discuss it tomorrow. Sister Xiao Ling, do you have any extra rooms for us in the house?”

“Yes, we do. Let me prepare the rooms for you all.”

Just as Xiao Ling was about to walk out of the room, Ye Shaoyang grabbed her by her hands gently, “Let the caretakers do it. I need to speak with you alone.”

The rest of the group looked at each other blankly as they had no idea what Ye Shaoyang was plotting. They sheepishly walked out of the room and followed the caretaker to their own room.

After everyone else left, Xiao Ling nervously asked Ye Shaoyang,“Mister Ye, what do you need to tell me?”

Ye Shaoyang handed her the bowl of soup.

“This soup doesn’t taste good. Taste it for yourself.”

Xiao Ling’s face turned pale.

Ye Shaoyang did not insist. He put down the bowl and threw Xiao Ling a friendly smile.

“Nevermind then,” Ye Shaoyang said as he walked out of the room.

Xiao Ling led Ye Shaoyang to his own room and made the bed for him. It was an expensive bed with a thick comfortable blanket. The room was definitely more comfortable than a hotel room.

Ye Shaoyang was already exhausted from a whole day’s work. He quickly took off his clothes and dived into bed. While he was deeply asleep, he was disturbed by knocking at his door. He struggled as he got up from the bed to get to the door. Once he opened the door, he could smell an intoxicating and feminine perfume.

Standing outside the door was none other than Xiao Ling!

“You--”

Before Ye Shaoyang could finish his sentence, Xiao Ling pressed her finger to his lips to shut him up, slipped into his room, and closed the door gently.

She whispered, “Mister Ye, I need your help on something.”

“What’s the matter?” Ye Shaoyang attempted to switch on the light, but Xiao Ling stopped him. She held Ye Shaoyang’s hand as she led him to the bed. As they sat on the bed, Xiao Ling looked at him with a shy smile.

Ye Shaoyang had no idea what Xiao Ling was planning.

“Sister Xiao Ling, it’s the middle of the night and you are here in my room alone. The light is not even switched on. It’s inappropriate, isn’t it?”

“Why switch on the light? I prefer the light off,” Xiao Ling said and stood up with a tempting smile. She sat on Ye Shaoyang’s lap as she threw Ye Shaoyanga lascivious look.

She threw her arms around Ye Shaoyang’s shoulders as she whispered in his ear, “Mister Ye, you are really handsome.”

Her intention was now obvious.

Ye Shaoyang could hardly believe what was happening.

Oh gracious God, is this really happening? Am I dreaming?

Although Ye Shaoyang could admit that Xiao Ling was attractive, he never had any intention to hit on another man’s wife. How would he dream of something as despicable as that? Was he slowly turning to such a dirty man without realizing?

Ye Shaoyang sneered, “Not really. Is it because I am irresistibly handsome?”

Xiao Ling cheekily laughed, “Mister Ye, you are playing games with me? You did not expose me, did you? It’s because you want me, isn’t it?”

Ye Shaoyang was confused. He knew nothing came free in this world, even if he was charming.Images of what he saw earlier that evening flashed through his mind, and all the dots connected. All the questions had been answered! Now, he knew what she really meant!

I could give birth to kids and my kids would be born with a silver spoon, but now, he is possessed. He is as sick as a dog now! If he stays this way forever, won’t I be just like a widow?”
