They exchanged words of concern for before they hung up. Ye Shaoyang then gave Zhou Jingru a call and told her the whole incident as well as what he told Xie Yuqing. Zhou Jingru was happy to know about his current condition.

After small talk, Zhou Jingru said, “There is a something I need to tell you. Do you still remember Director Li Ansheng the person in charge of the Evergreen Villa? You met him once. He might call you for help, but you can reject him.You don't need to help him just because he works for me.”

Ye Shaoyang vaguely remembered Director Li and asked, “Why would he need my help?”

“He claims that his younger brother has been possessed, and his condition is bad. He called me to ask for your help, but I told him that you have been very busy recently. He said that his younger brother lives in the Li Clan’s Village Waterfront, which is a half an hour drive from the Evergreen Villa. Li Ansheng waved his hand and said, “Mr. Ye, please don’t call me Director. I am only slightly older than you. Call me Big Brother Li. Please wait for a second, I will drive my car here and we will go to the villa. Miss Zhou is waiting for you there.”

Li Ansheng walked to the back of the office and drove out an Audi. When he pulled up, he invited both of them into his car.

A pretty woman in formal attire welcomed them upon their arrival. She was the public relations manager that Ye Shaoyang met once before in the villa. She was young and sweet and caught Xiao Ma’s attention immediately.

“Let me introduce you to the public relations manager of our company, Wang Ping. You are our VIP, so I called Wang Ping over to assist.”

Wang Ping invited Ye Shaoyang and Xiao Ma into a private room politely. Zhou Jingru was delighted.

She smiled, “I am so sorry to trouble you again, Big Brother Shaoyang.”

“No trouble at all since I had already planned to go there.”

As he finished, he gently tapped Xiao Ma’s thigh. He had planned to let Xiao Ma offer a price for helping Li Ansheng’s younger brother since he felt awkward receiving money from Li Ansheng due to his close relationship with Zhou Jingru.

Ye Shaoyang knew that she was talking about the Manager Zhang and the security guard.

I will do a palm-reading for you.” He grabbed the lady’s hands and simply touched them. Then, he frowned, “I’m afraid something catastrophic will happen to you. If you want to confirm further,” he said as he gazed at the lady’s slim figure before continuing, “I need to study your bone structure--”

‘Poohh!’ Zhou Jingru spat out a mouthful of tea. Xiao Ma’s actions left Ye Shaoyang speechless. He was embarrassed for bringing him along. Furthermore, Xiao Ma had not settled the essential issue of the payment. He could pick up with wooing the pretty girl later. Ye Shaoyang stomped on his foot.

Xiao Ma’s face immediately turned deep red and cried out in pain. Ye Shaoyang quickly whispered to him, “Money!”

Once Xiao Ma heard the word ‘money’, he reacted as though he felt no pain. He stopped screaming and forced a smile, “Director Li, I would like to discuss something with you.”

Li Ansheng moved closer to Xiao Ma in a doubtful manner. Then, Xiao Ma started to whisper in his ear.

“What are they discussing?” Zhou Jingru curiously asked Ye Shaoyang.

“Nothing important.” Ye Shaoyang quickly switched to another topic, “Has Tan Xiaohui come back?”

Zhou Jingru answered, “Oh, I almost forgot to tell you. She came back this morning, went to Madam Chee’s temple and met up with Officer Xie to get details and left. Before she left, she told me she is going to search for Jin Shuai and would be back once she had some clues.”

Ye Shaoyang frowned and asked, “Did she mention if she knew Jin Shuai?”

Zhou Jingru shook her head, “She said that it was complicated and she had no time to explain. She will contact you once she finds Jin Shuai. I could not reach her through the phone once she had advanced onto the mountain. Is she in danger, Big Brother Shaoyang?”
