Xiao Ma let out a sigh of relief, as he turned back. He was surprised to see such a long line behind him, “Holy sh*t! That is a lot!”

Some of the spirits knew what awaited them at the end of the soul guiding path, so they started to hesitate. When he saw this, Ye Shaoyang immediately intoned the Chant of Transcendence to calm them down. He sent the spirits to the altar one by one. They started to disappear into thin air, as they were sent off to the Netherland Council.

Ye Shaoyang nodded, “Great. Now that there are no more spirits to disturb us anymore, let’s catch the corpse-eating spirit.”

The duo cautiously walked into the graveyard. Ye Shaoyang knew where the family buried the newly-deceased—it seemed like the family expected the corpse to be eaten. They did not even bother to raise a tomb; they simply dug a hole and buried the corpse in a coffin.

Ye Shaoyang walked up to the grave from his memory. What laid before him bewildered Ye Shaoyang—the coffin had already been dug up, and the corpse was pulled out from the coffin. It was left on the ground. From its neck below, only bones were left, while the flesh was completely chewed away. It was not a sight for the weak-hearted.

“Damn! The corpse-eating spirit was here before us!” Ye Shaoyang fell to the floor, devastated, “Without a corpse, there’s no way we can lure it out. We are in big trouble now.”

Ye Shaoyang led Xiao Ma away to the soul guiding path that they had set up earlier. Then, the former passed a few Mugwolf Leaves to the latter to fill up the nostrils. Then, Xiao Ma proceeded to take off all his clothes and laid on the ground. Ye Shaoyang applied more corpse oil to Xiao Ma’s naked upper body and stuck a Qi Hiding Talisman Paper onto the latter’s forehead. Lastly, Ye Shaoyang instructed Xiao Ma to lay still on the soul guiding path.

The corpse-eating spirit had now approached the soul guiding path, as it walked with its weirdly short legs. It stopped and observed Xiao Ma. Crack! an audible noise rang out, as the brick broke into smaller pieces. The corpse-eating spirit merely tilted its head a little. It stared at Xiao Ma with a puzzled look. It was confused; this dude clearly smelled like a dead person, so how did he suddenly wake up? Is he an undead?

“F*ck! Its head is so hard!”

Since the brick had broken, Xiao Ma could only stare at the corpse-eating spirit; he did not know what else to do.

Finally, the corpse-eating spirit realized that this guy was a living man instead of a corpse. This creature, thanks to its cowardly and hesitant nature, did not even think of retaliating. Instead, it turned around and attempted to flee.

“Sh*t!” Ye Shaoyang leaped toward the creature, wielding his Qixin Dragon Sword. He entered the soul guiding path with Maoshan Qinggong. He aimed and slashed at the creature, who was backing away from Xiao Ma. The creature froze, as it sensed a threat coming from behind. It could already sense the majestic aura emitted by the powerful sword. It did not dare to confront the sword, so it retreated further.
