Because of that, he told the three souls, “Go to the underworld now and report to Yama, the King of Hell. I’ll write a talisman paper for you, explaining what you’ve been through. They will not judge you too harshly. What you’ve suffered in this life, you’ll be compensated in the next.”

Then, Ye Shaoyang took out his cinnabar ink pen and wrote some words on the paper. After he finished, he released the talisman paper, and it started to fly north. The three souls gave their final thanks. Then, they turned into a puff of green smoke that fused into the talisman paper. Xiao Ma and the lady were speechless, as they watched the paper slowly disappear.

“Let’s go then,” Ye Shaoyang said.

Then, Xiao Ma replied urgently, “Aren’t you gonna find that evil sorcerer?”
