Hardy directly stated the results of their mission.

After becoming an Arcane Wizard, his vision had broadened, and he had gained a deeper insight into the “Nether Soul Mirror” text, as well as a more profound understanding of the “One Body Three Manifestations” Secret Technique.

Through some connection between his true self and the Secret Method Body Double, he could confirm that Locke was still alive.

“Good, then let's make another foray into that small world. You can still find it, can't you?” Hardy decided immediately.

“Of course,” Ivan replied without hesitation.

Four Arcane Wizards joined forces for the task, a much stronger contingent than before. Ivan was confident that they could overcome that dragon-shaped black worm, or at the very least, certainly rescue Locke.

Without a doubt, this was far better than going in to rescue him alone.

This time, Philomena raised no objections and proactively took on many responsibilities.

Time flowed like water, and soon ten days had passed.

In a mountain valley far from the East Capital, thanks to the efforts of Ivan and the others, the entire valley had transformed into a prison laid with the Heaven and Earth Net.

At the center of the valley stood an altar, now covered with dense runes.

It was evident that this beast was related to the lineage of Lord Blackbeard. In fact, it was a puppet creature nurtured by Sorcerer Ivan from a beast egg captured from the depths of the Black God Abyss, originally prepared by Lord Blackbeard as a body double for himself.

After several twists and turns, it had finally hatched.

Sitting under the Blood-colored Battle Banner was a figure who appeared utterly bored. Sensing some activity on the other side, he blinked repeatedly, and when he was sure he wasn't mistaken, couldn't help but be moved to tears.

After such a long wait, his own sorcerer had finally come to rescue him. He knew the other would come, but it had been such a long time.

The man was none other than Locke, still looking lively and bouncy.

“Yo, long time no see.”

Seeing is believing, and Ivan let out a sigh of relief.

Ivan clearly indicated his intention, seeing that the Blood-colored Battle Banner had not yet burst into action, paired with the hot crimson mark on his arm–a clear sign of an extraordinary situation, perhaps the other side was just waiting for him to go over.

Might as well go for it.

“Are you sure?” Hardy frowned slightly.

“Positive,” Ivan nodded firmly.

Once Hardy confirmed a third time that Ivan hadn't lost his mind, he no longer resisted this arrangement.

After making their decision, the three of them started walking briskly towards the transverse ridge at the back of the small world. The closer they got to the ridge, the more they could feel its unique heavy atmosphere.

It seemed as though the Blood-colored Battle Banner sensed their arrival and began to wave faster, rustling in the wind.

Ivan gestured to the others, and Hardy and Fioki involuntarily stopped moving forward, while he continued to briskly climb towards the ridge.

“Boss, you finally made it. You don't know how boring it's been here, not a soul around, just me finding ways to entertain myself to pass the time. And so, one day went by, then another–”

As Ivan approached, Locke became even more animated, starting to recount the times he had had, which were truly hard to describe in just a few words.

Ivan listened without interrupting his rambling.

“Don't come any closer!”

“Boss, hurry, there's a trick here, Old Wormy is no good, don't worry about me–”

Suddenly, Locke's expression changed dramatically, and he began yelling at Ivan to leave, his desperate state apparent to anyone.

But Ivan didn't slow down. His feet had already touched upon the ridge, and he proceeded determinately upwards.
