In a room on the airship, Ivan sat quietly in a chair, pondering the potential challenges this trip might entail.

In fact, it wasn't like that at all.

President Hardy came to the Botta Blood Plain to attend a meeting, reportedly a special one that was called at the last minute due to some unexpected event.

“Are you really prepared to help me advance comprehensively to become an Arcane Wizard?” Ivan replied with a faint smile to her question.

“Of course, I've said more than once, whether the legacy of the Justiciar Ancestor can change my current plight or not, I will do my utmost to help you achieve the status of an Arcane Wizard, and even assist you in reaching higher accomplishments. These words contain not a half-truth.”

Tanaya said this very seriously, her face showing utter sincerity as she looked straight into his eyes without any hint of evasion.

Ivan was surprised.

He could tell that Tanaya's attitude had turned more determined than before. Had something happened that he was unaware of, or had the success of their return to the tower changed her in some way?

Impossible.

“Wait a minute, you're not planning to do something that would screw me over once we get to Truth City, are you?”

“Shut up first; this has nothing to do with you.”

Hearing his instruction, Locke had no choice but to close his mouth tightly and sit in the corner with widened eyes, watching the drama unfold.

Caught off guard by his question, Tanaya opened her mouth slightly but no words came out. She looked somewhat dazed and charmingly naive.

“After we leave Truth City this time, Gerry and I will accompany you to Chaina Continent Eastern Capital, and then we'll head to the underworld, hmph!”
