“It's better to have a possibility than none at all,” Tanaya said.

“I shall give it a try.” Meeting her eyes full of hope, Ivan thought of the benefits he had gained from the Five Leaves Spear in the past, sighed inwardly, and finally relented. “But I make no guarantees.”

“Just do your best. If it doesn't work out, it means it was meant to be,” Tanaya's lifted heart finally settled back down.

Hotter could add no more regarding their decision, as such matters truly didn't come with a hundred percent certainty. Before he could relax, however, he saw Ivan looking towards him and immediately had a bad premonition.

“Additionally, we must have a backup plan.”

“Tell me.”

“After all, with a young Arcane Wizard present, not utilizing him would be a waste of resources, in fact, we could—-”
