Song Tian's Farm and His Daily Life 20 Picnic

Song Tian could see there's big gate ahead and it's opened by itself, "Brother Bob, do we need to report before entering this area?" He asked.

Bob Lawrence laughed, "No, enter it. I already told them to open the gate," He said.

Song Tian nodded his head, "Alright," He said as he kept driving past the gate.

Song Tian looked around, he could see a big treehouse on the left, and there's a big trampoline, a swing set, and many other playground stuff for kids, "Strange, I only saw the playground here, there's no house in this large area," He thought in his mind.

Song Tian asked, "Brother Bob, is this your private property? I don't see any other house in this area."

Bob Lawrence laughed, "Yes, we're going to arrive in my house shortly," He said.

After a minute, Song Tian could see a big house ahead of him and a small lake beside it.

Both of them stepped out of the car and Bob Lawrence immediately pounced by a big mastiff, "Good boy. Song Tian, this is Max, he's one of my family members. Max, go greet my new friend here," He said as he rubs the mastiff and pointed at Song Tian.

After that, the mastiff runs to Song Tian and walk around him in a circle. Song Tian smiled, and he tries to pat its head.

Max is obediently staying still as his head rubbed by Song Tian.

"Brother Bob, he's so obedient. What kind of breed is this?" Song Tian said as he played around with Max.

Bob Lawrence laughed, "Yes, he is. But, once he detected some disturbance in his area, he might go on a rampage. It's Tibetan Mastiff," He said.

Song Tian surprised as he heard that Tibetan Mastiff is protective and known for its disobedience, but the mastiff in front of him is docile and obedience as he rubbed the mastiff furs, "How are you train Max to be this docile?" He asked.

Bob Lawrence shook his head, "I don't know, I even surprised to see Tibetan Mastiff can be this docile. I pick him up back when he's still a puppy, found him at the forest around my trip to Trisia Cave," He said.

Song Tian smiled, "It's because Max sees you as his parent. Oh, where's the grill equipment? I'll help you," He said.

Song Tian and Bob Lawrence pick all the equipment and move it to Song Tian's truck.

Bob Lawrence goes to pick his fishing gears, "Song Tian, did your sister and friend know how to fish?" He asked.

Song Tian shook his head, "I don't know about my friend, but my sister definitely can't," He said.

Bob Lawrence laughed, "Alright, I'll bring them some beginners set," He said as he goes back to his house to picks some fishing gears for Song Xia and Su Wen.

After picking all the stuff at Bob Lawrence's house and picking up the girls, Song Tian drives to the lake.

Arrived at the lake, Song Tian parked his car on the parking lot, and Bob Lawrence said, "Alright, follow me," As he and Song Tian carries the equipment.

At the Bob Lawrence's secret spot, Song Xia and Su Wen gasped at the surrounding area.

Not only it's surrounded by the hills and trees, but its land also covered with white sands. It's almost like a beach.

Song Xia excitedly said, "Wow, such a beautiful place," As she walks along the beach.

Su Wen nodded her head, "From the waterfall at Song Tian's backyard, and now this beautiful lake. I wish there's one in my apartment area," She said as she followed Song Xia.

Song Xia giggled, "Sister Wen, why don't you move to this area? There's a lot of empty lands here. Sister Mia even says there's a public aquarium in this area," she said.

Su Wen surprised, looked at Mia Lawrence, "Public aquarium? Sister Mia is that true?" She asked.

Mia Lawrence smiled, "Yes, it is. It contains a lot of varieties of species in there, and there's also waterpark beside it," she said.

Su Wen sighed, "If only my parents allowed me to live on my own," she said. Although she lives in the apartment, no one beside her family lives in it since her dad bought the whole building.

Song Xia laughed since Su Wen had already told her about her living condition, "Or you can just ask your dad to move the whole family to this area," she said.

Su Wen eyes lit up, "Great idea! I will try to convince my dad later," She said.

Mia Lawrence smiled, "Alright, let's go back to the spot, and they might thinking that we're lost or something," she said.

At the secret spot, Song Tian and Bob Lawrence already finish putting all the equipment and grill set.

Song Tain goes to his truck to get a big frozen container, and he put it beside Bob Lawrence.

Bob Lawrence looked at the container Song Tian just brought with him, "Song Tian, what is that?" He asked.

Song Tian laughed, "It's beverages, there's also beers and some strawberries in it," He said.

Bob Lawrence's eyes lit up, "Great! Now this feels more like a picnic," He laughed.

Although Song Tian's only 18 years old, he's still brought the beers with him because the legal age to drink and purchase alcohol in this country is 18.

Song Tian took out his Basic Fishing Rod, "Let's try to put the big hook this time," He thought as he put the big hook.

Song Yi said, "Hoho, are you sure you want to try the big hook?"

Song Tian said, "Of course, who knows I can catch a dragon dwelling in this lake. Xiao Yi, is there any fishing quest today?"

Song Yi giggled, "There is," She said as the quest scrolls appeared in front of Song Tian.

- Side Quest 1: Freshwater Fish.

- Quest Description: "It's started from the small thing before reaching the apex of something."

- Quest Requirement: Catch three different types of small or medium freshwater fish by using a small hook.

- Quest Rewards: Basic Fishing Reels and extra stuff.

Song Tian eyes widened, he immediately clicks the quest to accept it and removed the big hook and replace it with the small one.

Song Yi laughed, "Master, why changes the hook? Aren't you going to catch a dragon with it?" She asked.

Song Tian said, "Cough. We can catch dragon next time, and there are still other peoples around. We gotta stay low key."

Bob Lawrence looked at the fishing rod on Song Tian's hand, "Are you going to use that? I have reels, and it's bracket if you want to use it," He said.

Song Tian also put the worms in the hook, "Thanks, but no need for that. Since I just started, I'm going to learn this first before moving to more complicated stuff," He said.

Bob Lawrence laughed, "Alright, that's a good mindset. You can look for me if you ever need to upgrade your gears," He said as he took out his fishing rod from the bag.

Song Xia, Su Wen and Mia Lawrence already back at the secret spot after walking around the lake.

Mia Lawrence goes to the fishing bag and took the rods out, "Alright, both of you take this. I'm going to teach you my trick to fish easily, we can't lose to the boys aren't we," She giggled as she handed the fishing rods to Song Xia and Su Wen.

Song XIa and Su Wen eagerly took the fishing rods from Mia Lawrence and looking at it as if they got a new toy.

Mia Lawrence smiled, looking at their expression, and all of them walks toward Song Tian and Bob Lawrence.

Bob Lawrence looking at his wife, laughed, "Song Tian, looks like I need to get a bit serious this time. My wife brought her competition gears," He said as he picks his bag to get something.

Song Tian looked at Mia Lawrence's fishing rod, "Competition?" He asked.

Bob Lawrence said, "Yes, my wife is a national fishing league champion this year. I only placed a second whenever she's participating."

Song Tian surprised, "Wow, I don't even know there's even a competition in this country," He said.

Mia Lawrence looking at her husband replacing his fishing rod with a competition gears, smirked, "Bob, relax. I'm only looking for a small fish," she said.

Bob Lawrence glared at her wife and turned to Song Tian, "Don't believe her. When it comes to fishing, she's a monster," He whispered.

Song Tian furrowed his brow, "Why?" He asked.

Bob Lawrence wiped off the sweat on his forehead, "You'll know it soon," He said.

Mia Lawrence glanced at Bob Lawrence and Song Tian, both of them shivered.

Song Tian looked at Bob Lawrence, "Brother Bob, I can sense your wife's aura changed. It feels like a different person," He whispered.

Bob Lawrence whispered, "Yes, soon you'll see why. Let's go fishing," He lead Song Tian to follow Mia Lawrence and the girls.

All of them already set their chair on each spot. Song Tian and Bob Lawrence next to each other and Mia Lawrence, Song Xia, and Su Wen are 5 meters away from them.

Bob Lawrence said, "Song Tian, watch and learn," He twisted his body and starting to swing his rod.

Song Tian is looking at Bob Lawrence technique, "So this is the correct form of casting," He muttered as he tries to mimic Bob Lawrence way of casting.

Bob Lawrence looked at Song Tian, "Song Tian, why are you casting like that? You need a longer line for it," Before he continues, his eyes widened.

Bob Lawrence saw how far the hook is flying, "How the fudge is this even possible?" He said.

Bob Lawrence looked at Song Tian's Basic Fishing Rod, "Hmm, there's no reel attached to it. How can it be?" He muttered.

Song Tian looked at Bob Lawrence and laughed, "My rod has a long line attached inside of it, the only downside for this rod is that I have to pull it manually if I were to cast it far, it's like interline rod but without reels" He bluffed.

"Glad I already researched the interline rod with the international number one video platform," Song Tian thought in his mind.

Bob Lawrence furrowed his brows, "I also had had the interline rod, but it's with a reel on it. How do you attach your line inside it?" He asked.

Song Tian shook his head, "I don't know, when I got this from my friend, he said he got it from a friend of his father," He said.

Song Tian continued, "His father's friend also got it from a friend of his father, and my friend said that the lines already attached to it when he got this rod," He said with a flat face and Bob Lawrence's eyes twitched.

"Woah, Sister Mia, how do I pull this thing?" Song Xia said.

Song Tian and Bob Lawrence looked at the girl's area, surprised that someone's already caught something.

Mia Lawrence grip Song Xia's rod from behind, "Follow my movement and pull the rod slightly," she said as she's guiding Song Xia with the rod.

Not long after, the fish came out, Song Xia jumped, "Yay, I finally got a fish. Thank you, Sister Mia," She said, and Su Wen suddenly said, "Sister Mia, help me," She said as she feels her fishing rod moved.

Song Tian shocked after looking at the girls, and it's not even 5 minutes, Song Xia and Su Wen already caught one each.

Song Xia looking at her brother, smirked, "Brother, where's your fish?" She asked smugly.

Song Tian smiled bitterly, but he suddenly feels his rod movement. Song Tian placed his rod between his thighs and starting to pull his line with his hands.

"So much hassle, I shouldn't have to cast it so far, and there are other peoples here so I can't use the rod function," Song Tian thought in his mind, and he can hear Song Yi laughing at him.

Bob Lawrence saw Song Tian already caught a fish, "Wow, look at you. So inefficient, you should have a fishing reel attached to it," He shook his head as he looked at Song Tian, pulling the lines with his hand.

Song Tian smiled bitterly, "I should've cast nearby," He said as he kept pulling the lines and not long after, Song Tian can see the movement of something he caught on the shore.

Song Tian looked closer, and he could see he caught eel, "Woah, now this is good stuff," He said as he pulled the lines and picks the net beside him.

Bob Lawrence saw what he caught, "Wow, nice stuff! We can grill this eel," He said.

Song Tian laughed, "Yes and Su Wen also brought her cooking seasoning with her," He said.

Not long after, he suddenly heard Song Xia said, "Woah, Sister Mia, is your rod okay? It's bending like crazy," She said as she looked at Mia Lawrence fishing rod bends.

Bob Lawrence looked at Song Tian, "Now, look at her carefully. There's a reason why I told you that she's a monster," He said.

Song Tian looked at Mia Lawrence, at first he didn't notice any sign of abnormality on her, but his face changed when Mia Lawrence hold her rod with one hand.

Mia Lawrence turn her body and looked at Song Xia and Su Wen, "Girls, move 5 meters away from me, I'm going to pull this big boy out of the water," she said.

As the girls move away, Song Tian could see Mia Lawrence turns her body ninety degrees with the rods on her right hands. Mia Lawrence is starting to slash her fishing rod down with one hand as if it was a blade.

As the rod almost reaches the ground, Song Tian could see a big fish flying out of the water toward the land.

Before the fish fall out to the ground, Mia Lawrence quickly pick her fishing net to catch it, "Catfish? Not bad," She said as she removes the hook on the fish.

Song Tian, Song Xia, and Su Wen jaw dropped as they're looking at the enormous catfish in front of them.

Song Tian looked at Bob Lawrence, "It's almost as big as the one you caught back then, and she pulled that thing out with one hand?"

Bob Lawrence smiled bitterly, "See, that's why I told you," He said.

Song Xia and Su Wen also saw this and surprised. It's also their first time seeing someone caught a massive fish like that.

Song Xia said, "Sister Mia, you're so awesome. I didn't know you can catch a fish like that," She looked around the huge catfish Mia Lawrence just caught.

Mia Lawrence laughed, "It's faster and convenient this way. The only drawback is you have to get durable fishing gears if you want to do it like me," He said.

An hour later, Song Tian already caught 12 fish and completed his quest. But he didn't claim it as there's still people around him. He caught six eels, two trout, and four walleye.

Song Xia is surprisingly caught the most as she got 20 fish, although most of them are catfish.

Su Wen also comes close with Song Xia as she caught 16 fish, from eel to walleye while the Lawrence Family caught a few but most of them are huge fish.

At 3 PM, all of them started to grill the fish. Su Wen and Mia Lawrence mostly do the seasoning. Su Wen also found that Mia Lawrence had a vast knowledge in cooking, so she's always discussing the cooking stuff with Mia Lawrence.

Song Tian and Bob Lawrence clean the fish scale and organ so it's ready to be grilled and Song Xia staring at the grilled fish, salivating and can't wait to eat them all.

After cleaning the fish, Song Tian and Bob Lawrence sat on the chair with a bottle of beer in their hands talking random topic. He found out that Bob Lawrence is a business investor in a lot of companies outside of the country.

Song Tian drink his beer and asked, "Brother Bob, I saw there's a kid playground at your place. Did your kid stays alone at home or something?"

Bob Lawrence smiled, "No, my son is currently on his maternal grandparent's house in the USA during this holiday," He said.

Mia Lawrence said, "The food is ready," Calling Song Tian and Her Husband.

After all of them eats and talking until 5 PM, they decided to wrap it up after taking several group photos together.

On the road, Song Tian already drives the Lawrence couple to their home. Song Xia said, "Brother, you have to bring me next time you're going to picnic like this again," As she enjoying their times with Lawrence Family.

Su Wen also likes this experience a lot, and she could learn a lot of things such as fishing, new cooking recipe, and much other stuff.

Song Tian laughed, "Alright if there's a picnic like this again, I'll invite all of you," He said.

At the Lawrence's Family house, Bob Lawrence sat on the couch after cleaning himself and looking at his wife using her PC to look at the photos they took earlier on the secret spot, "Wow, you take a lot of selfie with the girls huh," He said.

Mia Lawrence smiled, "What can I do? It's my first time to experience becoming a big sister. It feels great, and they're so cute when asking me to teach them fishing and cooking stuff," She said as Mia Lawrence is the youngest child on her family and she never had younger friends back then in her hometown.

Mia Lawrence is delighted now she met Song Xia and Su Wen as she already takes them as her little sisters.
