Chapter 58 Golden Tome Suppresses the Sea of Bitterness

Ye Fan’s heart was beating fast from the excitement. He immediately thought of the Dao Scriptures; other than the most precious treasure of the Eastern Wastelands, the Dao Scripture was the main reason why the Spirit Ruins Paradise’s Sect Leader and Grand Elders were fighting with the Greater Demons. 

This golden page was too marvelous, as if it had been condensed from a rainbow’s essence. Its glorious light made it difficult to keep one’s eyes open in front of it, and it was also many times heavier than metal.

Below them, the writing became much smaller, and while the characters could be made out with great difficulty, their dazzling divine light pierced the eyes like needles, and the more he wished to read, the more incomparably painful it became, quickly making it impossible for him to continue. 

Ye Fan’s eyes turned red from the extremely bitter pain, and tears flowed freely. He hastily closed his eyes and scattered the golden light within his eyes, and only after a while did he completely recover. When he looked at the page normally, although he wasn’t able to read it, the words wouldn’t be so piercingly painful. But when he condensed divine energy into his eyes to read this page, it had almost permanently damaged his eyes. It was a strange mystery.

“As expected, this page of the Dao Scripture is extraordinary…”

The Spirit Ruins Paradise had only managed to obtain a small section of this volume, and it was even an incomplete section, containing less than a tenth of the real thing. It was only capable of letting immortal sprouts to connect to their Sea of Bitterness, and it didn’t have any follow-up methods. But just at this moment, Ye Fan felt a strange change. The golden page within his robes seemed to be trembling. At the beginning he hadn’t noticed it, but now he suddenly felt a cold sensation from his body, as if the golden page had made contact with his skin.

“What’s going on, I didn’t place it on my skin…” He hastily stopped and checked. But what shocked Ye Fan was that when he checked, there was nothing there; that page of the Dao Scripture had disappeared.

“How is this possible?!” Ye Fan couldn’t believe what was happening. Even if it was the Spirit Ruin Paradise Sect Leader, he wouldn’t take it in such a silent manner. How could it have suddenly disappeared?

At the same time, he felt his body’s Life Qi flare, and the Dao Scripture’s mystical arts autonomously activated. Without his control, his Sea of Bitterness’ golden splendor increased.

Ye Fan was extremely startled to feel that something was different with his Sea of Bitterness. It seemed as if something else had appeared within it, and he quickly checked. What he saw stupefied him. Within his soybean-sized golden Sea of Bitterness had appeared a single-paged golden tome!

The Dao Scripture’s mystical arts stopped and everything became tranquil again. But now, Ye Fan’s Sea of Bitterness had gained a golden page. No matter how he tried, he was unable to shake it even in the slightest, and he could no longer bring it out.

Ye Fan foolishly stood there in a daze, not understanding how this could happen or why it would happen. However, the golden page didn’t cause his Sea of Bitterness to feel unwell, so this calmed him down a bit.

After Ye Fan calmed down, he once more decided to leave and started to run.

BOOM!

Just at this moment, a fierce sound came from behind him. The distant ancient palace was shaking and released countless rays of red light which sent the super beasts and Spirit Ruin Paradise’s Elders flying.

“No, I still can’t leave!” Ye Fan truly cared too much about Pang Bo. Although he knew he was absolutely useless and couldn’t offer the slightest assistance, he absolutely had to see Pang Bo make it out alive. Otherwise, he couldn’t leave. 

Of course, he wasn’t an idiot. This time, he selected an even further mountain peak to observe from.

Chi, chi, chi…

Just at this moment, in the distant horizon, the sound of space ripping apart came. Dozens of divine rainbows were arriving.

Rumble…

Following it, the sound of an army galloping appeared behind the dozens of divine rainbows, and bursts of beast roars and howls came. Mist surged and clouds shrouded the heavens. Dozens of beasts were galloping upon the clouds, each of them with a cultivator on their back. Although they were stepping across the sky, the rumbling sound was like thunder, like a huge army charging forward.

Those beasts were all strange varieties left over from the Ancient Desolation, each covered in dense scales and bearing endless malevolence. The centermost beast’s cultivator was holding a banner in his hands which blew in the wind. Its might overflowed the heavens, the four words upon it read: Flickering Light Sacred Land!
