The attacks brought dust in the air, after Kaoru stopped moving the dust slowly dispersed . The area became clearer and the three generals was lying in the ground, breathing but with tremendous amount of bruises . Their faces were even disfigured due to it being hit multiple times .

Kaoru on the other hand was still standing sturdy, his sword was once again on his shoulder as he look seriously at Tazuna .

'With that, only the chief is left . He looked normal but he has everything in his repertoire . Sharp mind, agility, strength, speed and effective movements . No wonder he was the chief, the only down side is that he really didn't care about the people . Everything he did was just on the surface,' Kaoru thought as he look at Tazuna, both of them are waiting for the generals to be carried away .

The people was once again in awe after seeing him, no one have expected him to be this good . In the end, he was just a stranger to all of them . He came and help them improve but no one was able to really get that close to him . Even Arisa who had always been with him were deceived .

Tazuna seriously walk closer to Kaoru, he was holding his sword tighter as he remembered how he had defeated all those generals and captains within just half a day . Yet even with that handicap, Tazuna could feel it, that Kaoru is still plenty strong to defeat him .

"You really deceived all of us, who would have thought, that you were actually this good in fighting," he commented after approaching Kaoru .

"No, your research was just insufficient . "

Without speaking another word, Tazuna dashed forward and confronted Kaoru, who was able to parry him, but even with this the attack force caused the surrounding air to vibrate as well .

Kaoru used his feet to push him away from him before he rushed after him . Instead of just rushing forward, Kaoru slid on his side, fluently escaping Tazuna's awaited attack . He then pushed himself up with his hand and jumped backwards multiple times, evading Tazuna's continues follow up .

This time, he was on defensive side . Without much of a breather, he couldn't shake Tazuna's attack off and couldn't find an opportunity for him to attack .

The tiredness have caught up to him causing his movements to be slower, he could only parry Tazuna's attack . But even this was proven difficult for him, he was pushed back over and over again until he felt the wall behind him .

Tazuna used this to his advantage and launched a multiple shots towards his body . It was like a multiple arrow being shot towards Kaoru . Obviously Kaoru couldn't dodge or defend against this fast continuous attacks, some have landed on his stomach and chest .

He could only cough up some blood .

Once Tazuna was done, he jumped back and looked at Kaoru who was battered up .

He sneered, "So where's that confidence of yours went to now? You over estimated your own capabilities and ended up in such condition . "

He slashed his sword towards him attacking his face . Kaoru was sent to the ground by this attack .

"If you have done what I laid out for you to do then this wouldn't have happened to you . You could be my son-in-law but now, you're bound to be defeated and be thrown back to your kingdom . "

He moved forward and kicked Kaoru who was still on the ground .

Kaoru slowly stood up as he smirked, "I have been reprimanding myself all this time over that decision . It was rush I still lack a few days of practice . "

He then looked up, as he kept fighting, he was also doing his best to locate Raven . And after defeating the first three generals he already saw him .

Raven who was watching, touched his left elbow that was hidden in his cloak . It had bandage in it . It was something he received during his bout with Kaoru last night . Something he endured for the enjoyment of their bout .

Raven only gave him a nod .

"What the hell!! How did you endure such an injury?!?" Kaoru reprimanded him .

He found out about it after they returned home . Raven's left elbow was fractured .

"If I had shown it to you, then surely you would have left that state you were in . That was your strongest state and I want to challenge myself . "

Kaoru was exasperated upon hearing this . There are times where he truly let go all of his inhibitions and just weild his sword . As he enjoyed their bout and was pushed back over and over again by Raven, he entered such state . He was amazed though that Raven was only left with his left elbow injured . And it was just a fracture .

"I've heard about this from the king, a battle from way way back with a different set of bandits . You, alone, have killed all 30 of them . "

Kaoru do remember that time . It was the his last battle before he injured Akira .

"The only reason I was left with only a fracture was because you yourself have deviated your own attack . If not, I suppose even with my abilities, my arm would have been injured to the point where I will have to heal for half a year," Raven then said as if Kaoru could hear him .

After looking at Raven, Kaoru stood straight, wiped the blood in his lips and closed his eyes .

"The last level of your strength, which even I had such a hard time parrying, when he rely entirely to his other senses except his sight . Where he's no longer looking at what might happen to his opponent . And was purely enjoying the feeling of your sword hitting the flesh of the one in front of you," Raven commented .

Tazuna first had his brows furrowed and was thinking whether Kaoru have decided to just give up .

'Stupid, do you think I'll still let you go? Not unless you're nothing but a vegetable . '

He moved forward and moved closer to Kaoru who was standing with his sword just beside him .

'DIE!!' was what Tazuna shouted inside of him as his face twisted into a hideous looking one .

Yet with his arms raised before he could even slash it down, Kaoru's sword was already on his waist and with his strength, Tazuna was sent flying to the side as he tumbled multiple times . He coughed out three mouthful of blood as he lay down on the ground .

His eyes were opened wide as he look at Kaoru who was walking slowly towards him . He used his sword as support to stand up, with the pain his feeling, he knew that he had broken two to three of his ribs .

He couldn't help but to blink a few times, he couldn't believe this, Kaoru was already too tired, where the hell did he get his strength?

He stood up in a defending stance, he focused entirely all his senses to Kaoru who was ten steps away from him . But the moment he blinked Kaoru was gone and came the wind behind him .

Before he could even turn around, he felt a tremendous force hitting his legs before he was once again sent flying . This time his legs are broken, he could only look at Kaoru as fear started engulfing him .

As people started feeling scared and pity for Tazuna, parchments were scattered in the air raining down on the audience stand . This caught all their attention and some have picked it up .

On that piece of parchment was everything that Tazuna have planned . It also has the picture of his plan with his sign and the three other generals signature, giving their approval . In it was written, all his plans regarding slavery and taxes . How he would deal with the people and how he would punish them .

The people were completely shocked as it was obvious with this that the people was his least priority . He had indeed became too greedy with power and wealth .

This parchments were thrown to the crowd by Raven . He made the ones printing the news to provide lots of copies for it yesterday morning, but they are not to disclose it yet until he himself have done so .

Raven only needed to show his face for all those who work on the news to acknowledge all his demands . When Kaoru told him about the people who idolizes them, he came up with this .

The day he arrived and listened to Kaoru informing Tazuna that he will take the challenge and hearing the father and daughter's conversation, he knew that their hearts have it in them, the darkness that people always have . And that it had consumed them already, so without delay he searched Tazuna's place and indeed found the conditions the other three generals placed in order to support him .
