Fugitive, Looking At The End Part 1

For me, games are nothing more but a hobby.

If I were to trace my bloodline, it would turn out that both the extended family on my father and mother’s sides were having many different and sometimes unique hobbies. If you were to go north to the house of my father’s parents, you would find that my grandfather has a vintage sports car in his garage, one that he maintains and occasionally takes for a spin around the neighborhood. And if you were to go west to the house of my mother’s parents, you would find out that many of the space out there was occupied by the plastic models that my grandmother loves to both put together and collect.

I also heard my grandfather saying after getting a few drinks with my dad on a certain day that once he was going to pass away, I would get that sports car of his as inheritance, but since he said that while being drunk there is no way for me to actually know if he was serious or not…… So maybe it was not such a bad idea to train is some racing games for the time I would be trying to get my driver’s license.

But anyways, enough about that for now.

What I was trying to say here, it seems that both my sister and I are a crossbreed of two lineages that cultivated many different and unique hobbies, so being a hobbyst was actually in our blood…… I get a feeling that when I am going to find a wife for myself one day, I need to be very careful about her hobbies and qualities, or else my children might turn out to be quite a disaster hobby-wise. And when it comes to Rumi, some of the signs were already starting to show there.

That is why just playing the games is the “purpose” for me…… That is also why I can say with utmost certainty that for me playing video games is not a means of “escapism” as people often like to assume. And even if it is, it is a fairly rare occurrence.

Why do I bring that up? It is because of the last happening with Saigsan at school, the one in which she almost went and self-destruct herself.

To say the least, Saigsan is the perfect member of society. A perfect being. If you were to ask ten people about their opinion on her, nine out those ten would give you the exact same opinion.

I mean, I get it, I really do. All of a sudden, she approached a boy in the middle of the scgool’s corridor. What’s more, she told that boy that there was something important that she would like to discuss with his once the classes were over. And taking into consideration that she was an honor student and the ace of the track and field club, there was only one thing this this could point towards. So I don’t blame other guys for taking me into custody and wanting to cross-examine me about what was that all about.

And despite me preaching all the time that even during an interrogation basic human rights guaranteed by various treaties and conventions should not be broken, the giant and muscular arm of a guy belonging to the Judo club does not loosen its grip over my neck. And seeing how they were so eager to deliver a quick sentence here…… Let’s at least try to buy some time here.
