Stupid But Surefire Way of Blasting Away the Outer Moat (Namely: Self-Destruct)

Since we are in different classes, it makes complete and perfect sense that our ways part once we arrive at school.
However, being able to at least walk to school together like that, that makes me very happy.
Recently I managed to improve my talking skills to a point at which I do not stutter nearly as much as I used to, so maybe by the end of the year I will be able to hold an entire conversation like a normal person! Let’s hope for that!
I could tell that Rei was strangely happy today for some reason, but then I just happened to remember something.
I wanted to ask her about the Unique Scenario “Invitation to the Bunny Country, but it slipped from my mind and now I lost my chance to ask. And I really wanted to know since it might have turned out crucial for me in a long run.
And what about the quest that Saint Iristella issued for me? As for that, I wanted to consult with Rei, but I wanted to wait after school before saying anything.
No. No, that’s not it.
When it comes to Rei…… No, when it comes to Saig0, I have realized that I have been depending on her way too much those past couple of quests.
However, there is something that Sanraku has and what Rei does not have. The references left by the Kutanid of the Abyss. The future that the creators of the alarm bell had foreseen. And the words of both Weissash and words of Goldunine…… If you put that together, you get a plot understanding that Rei simply could not have possessed.
When Kutanid told me that, right after that I had my hands full with the escape from the waves of “Blue”, and then there was a whole lot of other stuff that I had to take care of. So I simply had no mind that I could pay to those issues.
However, right now I really needed to consult all this with someone. Because it was all probably about……
Because I am more or less certain that this is all related to the fourth stage of the World Quest.
「What’s wrong, Rei? You keep on sighing like that while gazing to the sky.」
「Ahh, it’s nothing, really…… I just felt like I have forgotten about something really important.」
「Hueee…… Now that’s rare. Rei, you are always so diligent and proper that it is hard to imagine that you could have forgotten about something.」
Even though one of her friends managed to notice that something was clearly bugging her, Rei still chose to ease their worries by telling them that it was not a big deal.
If she wanted to be sure about that matter, she would have to log in to ShangriLa Frontier and find out. However, even if she did that, there was no way for her of knowing if she would get to see Hizutome Rakuro there, since they would not see each other in game on a daily basis.
If indeed so, then the best way to contact him would be through the use of SNS. But it just so happened that when she was walking through the school corridor during the lunch break, the person she wanted to talk to appeared in front of her all of a sudden while talking to one of his friends.
(Ah, what a great timing.)
It is nearly impossible for any person in the world to consciously control all of their actions.
It is difficult to control sudden reactions like yawning and sneezing, and it the similar way, it is difficult to control the ticks and reflexes that are labeled as low priority by the brain. Trying to do that might only end up in losing of focus and various distractions.

That is why Rei was particularly nervous about the task that was laying before her. That is, being able to talk to Hizutome Rakuro and tell him that there is something important about ShangriLa Frontier that she would like to talk to him about. It was that kind of awkward silence as if everyone present at the scene decided to stop breathing at once.
Surprisingly enough, even though Rei’s voice was rather quiet, a whole lot of people managed to hear the bomb she just dropped, leaving the poor girl wondering why did the atmosphere all around her got so cold all of a sudden.
「……? Ahh…… Could this perhaps be related to ShanF ––」

Now, even though Rei knew that Hizutome Rakuro understood her intentions clearly, she came to realize something else: that for those people around them, her words just now must have sounded like nothing more but a prelude to a love confession. Realizing that, all of a sudden she felt as though her heart was about to burst out from her chest.
BAH!!!!!! She acted purely on reflex here. She shot forward and placed her hand over Rakuro’s mouth, so that he would be unable to finish that sentence. That was clearly not the movement of an amateur, but the one of the absolute professional.
「N-No, that’s not it…… I didn’t mean that in a weird way! Normal! Normal one!」
「Eh? Ah, oh yeah, that one…… Right?」
「Yes! Perfectly normal and perfectly healthy reason!」
「Ahh, yeah, got you.」
「Iiii…… Iiiiiihhhhhh……!!!」
Blood rushing to her head and heat hitting her face were starting to reach critical levels.
Her thoughts started to run amok inside of her head, as if there was a tornado raging in her brain.
Burning gazes. Burning gazes. She could feel a whole lot of burning gazes focusing on her. She knew that even her friend must have watched her with her mouth left agape, unable to believe what just happened.
「I’s perfectly normal! I didn’t mean anything inappropriate by iiiiiitttttt~~~!!!!!!」
And then she just run away.
「…… On second thought, could it really be something related to ShanFro after all?」
And it just so happens that Rakuro was the only one who was unaware of the true nature of the bomb that was just dropped here. That, and the way in which that bomb would affect his near future.
「Hey, Hizutome. Let me treat you for lunch today.」
「Eh? Seriously? What gives?」
「You now, nothing really. However, you can only get katsudon.」
「And why is that?」
「You see, that is because…… You cannot have a good interrogation without katsudon, now can you? Katsudon is like a cult classic in this case.」
「Interrogation? The fuck are you talking about? Interrogation about what?」
After thinking long and hard about this current situation, Rakuro came to a conclusion that he had no allies no matter where he would look. There were only enemies here.
「…… Hahahaha.」
「Hahahahahahahaha.」
「「HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!」」
THUD! Rakuro could feel that his friend placed his hand on his shoulder, still laughing although his eyes were filled with malicious intent.
「I get a feeling that a really nasty flag has been raised, so you’ll have to excuse me when I leave the room just like that!」
「Get that asshole! Don’t let his escape!」
And thus began my great escape roleplay.
