Selfish love Chapter 49

Mariza shook her head trying to fight back her tears, ''I can never hate you'' her voice was cracking . Valz looked at her strangely, ''You should hate me because I have an ugly heart'' he said this while caressing Mariza's cheeks with his fingers .

''I wrote a poem for her'' he said sadly .

Mariza smiled, 'Will you please . . . . '' she wanted him to share his poem with her but she just couldn't take the words out of her mouth .

He understood what she was trying to say and hesitatingly nodded his head . Mariza was really curious to hear him pour out his emotions . He didn't release her waist rather neared more closer to her and buried his face in her hair while tears were continuously spilling form his eyes on her hair .

He spoke in a broken voice,

I-I awake each morning to start a new day,

But the p-pain of losing you never goes away .

I go about the things I have to do,

and as the hours pass I think again of you .

I want to call you and just hear your voice .

Then I remember that I have no choice

For you are not there and now my heart cries

Just to see you again to tell you goodbye .

To say, Mum I love you and I always will

And hope that much of you, in me you've instilled .

The day that you left I just didn't know

That you were going where I couldn't go .

And now all my memories of you are so dear

But gosh, how I miss you and wish you were here .

Who now can hear me when I need to cry?

It's so hard to tell you, "Mum goodbye . "

Someday I know all will be well

And I'll see you again with stories to tell

Of how you were missed and how we have grown

And how good it is to finally be home .

Until then my memories of you I'll keep near

And I'll pass them on to those who are dear .

I miss you, Mum!

With this being said Mariza couldn't keep repressing her tears and said while crying,''Valz-Valz I-I-'' she was at loss of words .

She wrapped her arms around Valz's body and said, ''She will be proud of you Valz'' she wiped her tears, ''Your love for you mother grows everyday and this poem speaks about your affection and love for your mother'' she then back away a little and wiped his tears, ''You deserve to be loved'' she whispered .

Valz stared at her with that boyish glint in his eyes,''Mariza . . . . ''

''Hmm?'' she said while looking at his handsome face . ''Can I . . . . '' he was trying to ask for her permission for something .

''Yeah?'' she asked in a curious manner .

He grabbed her face from both side, ''Can I kiss you?'' Mariza had never seen him this vulnerable and hesitant at the same time .
