/ SORCERESS 101 339 A BIRTHMARK AND A DIMPLE
Schoolmaster Yin asked halfheartedly when Long Yue's farce started to unfold before him.
I would be a lie of Schoolmaster Yin would claim that he did not get excited upon hearing about a talking beast
For a millisecond of difference, the schoolmaster felt slight anticipation deep inside him as he waited for Luna to speak.
Only to found out that it was nothing but a figment of the imagination of a young warlock.
"As expected...."
Long Yue said more to himself as his shoulders slumped and her eyes started to get filled with disappointment.
He expected as much as that to happen.
That was why he no longer consulted his friends about it in the first place and went straight to Schoolmaster Yin.
He reckoned that with Schoolmaster Yin's extensive knowledge as well as higher attainment in the realm in magic, then he would be the best candidate to test out if there was someone aside from him who could also hear Luna speak.
If it happened that even Schoolmaster Yin himself could not hear Luna speak, then what more to his other friends?
Aren't he would just make a fool of himself if he would try it out with his friends despite knowing that it was futile?
They might just though that he has gone nuts, just like what he thought to himself right now.
"Yes, indeed. Soft meowing is what we should expect to hear from a cat."
Schoolmaster Yin seconded, trying hard to inject some enthusiasm in his voice to hide his disappointment.
To be honest, he too was intrigued when he heard the other party said that his beast was capable of speech.
But it seemed that he just get excited over nothing.
"Then, if it was not from Luna, could it be that the problem lies in me then??? Am I hallucinating or something???"
Long Yue asked but it was more to be directed to himself than to anybody.
"Ehem.."
Schoolmaster Yin cleared his throat when he saw that the young warlock before him seemed to be on the verge of his mental breakdown.
"MEOW"
[Master....]
"Don't call me master!!!!!!"
Long Yue snapped back, but he only said it inside his mind.
"MEOW"
[What should I call you then???]
Asked Luna perplexed.
"You can hear my mind???"
Long Yue answered back with another question.
'Gosh! Am I really hearing things or Luna was really communicating with me right now???'
'But why only now? Not before???'
'Is it the side of effect of being covered by the aura of death???'
Long Yue tried to analyze his situation, but the more he came up for the possible reasons, the more confused he got.
"MEOW"
[Master, it is me, Luna. Don't you trust me?]
"Why should I trust your words then???"
Of course, Long Yue could not rule out the possibility that the voice that he was hearing inside his head was a trick made by someone else.
As much as he wanted to believe that it was all just happening inside his head and him hearing Luna talking to him was just part of his imagination, he knew that it was not.
Especially so since the voice inside his head sounded reasonable whenever it was claiming that she was a real deal.
As such, Long Yue finally decided to talk at the voice claiming to be Luna
This was actually his first time talking to the voice directly ever since he started hearing it inside his head.
"MEOW"
[Well, I know for certain that you got a birthmark on your butt cheeks and a dimple on top of that!!!]
Said Luna without any bit of a shame when she mentioned her master's most coverted secret.
This was the best way that she could think of that could make her master, Long Yue, believed her without a fail.
"HEY!!!!!!'
Long Yue blurted out as his cheeks started to take the shade of red.
"Errrr???"
Schoolmaster Yin who was silently watching the young warlock as it fell into a daze a moment ago was startled when the other party suddenly rose to his feet and exclaimed for no reason.
He had no idea what was happening in Long Yue's mind that time, but one thing that he was certain about was that the young warlock before him has gone nuts!
So with an earnest expression in his face, Schoolmaster Yin approached the young warlock and talked to him softly.
As if he was coaxing some wild child into behaving.
"Young lad, how about we call your friends over here to fetch you? You seemed not to be doing well. You were probably sick. I think you need to have some rest at the school's infirmary. I'll talk to Teacher Nana right now to have you pulled out for today's lesson."
Schoolmaster Yin offered his help but Long Yue declined it right away
"NO!!! That was not true! I don't have a birthmark in my butt cheeks! Don't listen to her!!!!"
The agitated Long Yue forgot about the fact that no one aside from him could hear the voice inside his head.
He was too caught up into denying the matter altogether that he ended up speaking his mind
Meanwhile, Long Yue's response was so out of the line that Schoolmaster Yin was having a hard time coping up with his line of thoughts.
Birthmark???
Butt cheeks??!
When Long Yue realized that he accidentally spoke his mind, he almost died out of shame.
It was at that moment that Long Yue silently prayed for the floor to open up and swallow him whole.
Or for a hole to suddenly appear out of nowhere just so he could dive straight into it and bury himself alive.
He was so embarrassed!
"I--I --I wi-wil be t-t taking my leave then, Bye!"
Long Yue said before he hurriedly left the room and shut the door firmly behind him.
"This was so embarrassing!!!!"
Long Yue said as he held his head with both hands while crossing the distance between Schoolmaster Yin's office and the portrait of the lady at the entrance.
He picked up his pace and run in full speed focusing his thoughts into nothing but running.
He badly wanted to cry due to embarrassment but he soon found out that he had no tears to shed.
"MEOW"
[How is it master, do you believe me now???]
If Luna wanted his master to believed her words in one go, then she knew that she must choose wisely.
She must think of some useful fact, that only a few were privy.
Something that would not make Long Yue think that she just heard it from someone else mouth,
So considering that only Concubine Lin (Long Yue's mother) and his wet nurse were privy about the young prince birthmark, then she decided to choose that instead.
Aside from the two ladies, it could be said that there was no other living person who had seen Long Yue's birthmark.
In fact, even his brother Long Fuzi had no idea about it at all.
"Is that really you Luna??? But how did you know about my birthmark in the first place?? Are you peaking on me whenever I am taking a bath????"
Long Yue asked in disbelief before he covered his body with his arms.
"MEOW"
[Of course not! Why would I do such shameful thing as that???"
If only her white fur would allow her to blush, then Luna would have probably been blushing all over her face right after hearing her master's abrupt question
"Then how could you be so certain about my birthmark???!"
"MOEW"
[What else?? Of course, I saw it with my own eyes! After all, you used to run around inside your room naked when you were little]
"You saw it with your own eyes????"
Long Yue asked with twitching face.
Never could have he imagined that he had bee peaked at by his cat since childhood.
"MEOW"
[Ohh..don't you remember?? You love to run away everything your personal maid was dressing you, I saw more than that!]
Luna said as he rolled her eyes.
"You saw more than that???"
Long Yue repeated after his cat.
"MEOW"
[Haaay,,, why is he even asking the obvious..]
Luna muttered underneath her breath in exasperation before asking her master again
"MEOW"
[What now, master??? Do you want me to describe to you as well what I used to saw back then???]
"NO!!! No, I'm good. I believe you now... I believed you. You don't need to say a word anymore. Please."
Long Yue hurriedly stopped Luna from talking any further before he could even die fro embarrassment
