It was the task of gathering the mistletoe in the Rhapsody Swamp. Somehow, the location of the Rhapsody Swamp is still a few hundred kilometers away from the actual area that covers the Long Kingdom.

But so far, this is the best mission that they could get that is nearest to their goal. Or else, they would have to wait for a few more days just to wait for another mission.

Which they don't have any guarantee if that next mission would be a better choice or worse than what they already had now.

Before anyone could even snatch it from them, Yun Xue decided that it would be best for Chan Gu to get that mission for their group.

Rather than waiting for another couple of days in vain and risking the chance for a good opportunity to strike first, Mu Lingxi and her friends decided to accept the mission right away.

It was not that they want to rush things out, nor they were being hasty or excited. But it is just that, they cannot risk delaying the matter.

Just last day, the old hermit manage to get a hold of them through Guinevere's legendary fire. From the current looks of it, it seemed that the old hermit decided to send the snow dragon to their side so that he could get in touch with their group through it.

But more than that, they learned one more crucial information.

A group of itinerant sorceresses had gotten their hands on Bigfoot. The abominable snowman that helped Mu Lingxi's group before to reached and met the crystal cavern where the old hermit and the legendary snow dragon resides.

Apparently, this group of itinerant sorceresses does not have a good interior motive in searching Bigfoot. In fact, they even set the entire village that was located at the foot of the Cloudmist ridge into a blazing fire.

Bigfoot tried to rescue the villagers and his friend Mayan, but unfortunately it was a trap. Their true goal is to catch the abominable snowman and used him to locate the hidden cavern.

That could also be one of the reasons why the old hermit abruptly sent his baby snow dragon to the group without prior notice.

The old hermit had spent most of his time and life taking care of the baby snow dragon hoping to see it matures into a full-grown dragoness. In memory of his own spiritual beast, Guinevere's parents.

So it was really surprising for them how the old hermit had the heart to send the baby snow dragon away from him.

Also, both the old hermit and his snow dragon had lived their lives cooped up inside that crystal cavern having zero contact to the outside world.

As such they have not interacted with any human for many years that passed. In fact, it is not an exaggeration to say that their group was all they've got.

The old hermit also mentioned that the group of itinerant sorceresses were after the information regarding soul arts, and this is not good news for them.

The group had been trying every means to get in touch with the old hermit again in hopes of learning more about the situation but to no avail. They lost any contact with the old hermit after that one instance.

If that group of itinerant sorceresses happened to learn that the Kingdom of Long has something to do with the forgotten practice of necromancy, that could prove to be troublesome.

So whether they like it or they don't, Mu Lingxi's group would have to make haste before that group of itinerant sorceresses could even catch wind of their movement.

The Rhapsody Swamp is not an uncharted territory unlike the land of Echurid that they ventured before. So they believe that this mission will be a lot easier than the latter. Well, at least, that is what they thought for now.

The Rhapsody Swamp is actually a well known historical place among the mage community since it serves as one out of the many battlegrounds for the Great War of Magi that broke out thousands of years ago.

Countless books recording the Rhapsody Swamp as well as the do's and dont's when taking missions that are related to this historical place were published ever since the late centuries.

Their mission for going to Rhapsody Swamp is to harvest the mistletoe that specifically thrives along the Rhapsody Swamp.

The mistletoe in this places looks just like the typical mistletoe used as decoration during Christmas in Mu Lingxi's previous life. The only difference is its color.

Instead of yellow flowers, this mistletoe has a reddish one, which is strongly related to the place where it grows. Since these mistletoes germinate within the Rhapsody Swamp where the blood of countless warlocks and sorceresses were spilled during the war, its petals were dyed red.

Despite the war happening for a long time now, the mistletoe that grows in that place still had that same reddish color. As if it was dyed red by fresh blood.

This mistletoe is also used as one of the main ingredients for concocting the Jazzu Blob. A combat-related elixir.

The waxy-like glutinous berries of a mistletoe produced an extract that works its wonder when added in the concoction of Jazzu Blob.

It was too potent that even just a single drop of this elixir can easily aid whoever consumes it, and its effect will last good for one hour.

The Jazzu Blob was used to heighten one's sense of hearing over a particular span of time, depending on its dosage.

It was the same elixir that Long Yue used to spiked the Centennial Ale that he intended to gift to Mu Lingxi back then during the banquet.

Only to end up sabotaging Mu Yanxiao instead. Because of her greed, Mu Yanxiao drank the entire content of the spiked Centennial Ale on her way back to their Mu Clan's residence.

This leads her to start hearing things, almost driving her to the point of insanity. Mu Yanxiao could even hear the ants, as well as her own plants, talking to her because Long Yue used a strong dose of Jazzu Blob back then.

This resulted in Mu Yanxios earning the title of Loony Young Miss among the gossiping maids in their clan's courtyard.
