“Only you and I are in this room. Don’t tell me it was a ghost.”

Leng Muxuan chewed the rice carefully and answered slowly, “I didn’t, unless I sleepwalked last night.” Though he was not good at lying, he had many ways to deal with her.

Not surprisingly, Jiang Senyuan believed him and was fearful, asking, “You have a history of that?”

“I didn’t tell you, though.”

Leng Muxuan put down the chopsticks and wiped his mouth. “Do you really think that I am so stupid I would clog the toilet? She bravely kicked open Leng Muxuan’s door and went to his bed to pick him up by grabbing his collar. “Get up! Give me an explanation! Why did you do all of this? You son of a pig!”

Jiang Senyuan was so angry this time. She’d adopted him off the streets. Did she ask for anything in return? She took care of him, down to every mundane little detail, and he made her apartment a disaster. How could he act like this?

Leng Muxuan also knew he was crazy. When he changed the foods in the refrigerator, he also remembered the horrible market and the girl’s bargaining with the vegetable dealers. He felt upset indeed.

So Leng Muxuan turned over and closed his eyes, ignoring her yells.

Jiang Senyuan flew into a rage; she took out his arm and bit it fiercely.

“Ah . . . !”

A poor screech rose from Jiang Senyuan’s apartment. The landlady opened her window with confusion. “Which couple is so shameless to do this during the daytime?”

Leng Muxuan couldn’t play dead anymore. Staring at the teeth marks, he couldn’t say a word. Why had he praised her as a kind and warmhearted girl just now?

Jiang Senyuan also felt she was a little crazy, but when she remembered what he did to her, she was so bold and straightforward. “Don’t think you can escape from these problems. Tell me, why did you do all this?”
