Back at Nassau, the AC-130U gunship defeated the Bunker Hill with just a dozen artillery shells. Meanwhile, a dozen speedboats from the Polarlys Legion were traveling at a high speed of thirty knots towards the Nassau port.
Under the gunship's scrutiny, the people on the Bunker Hill tank landing ship and the entire fleet surrendered. All of them were captured.
However, it was not the end of the story. After a short panic in Nassau, there were still thousands of armed soldiers loyal to Santos. These people were in Nassau port and Nassau Airport and refused to surrender.
When Santos received the information in Guantanamo, he quickly double-checked the situation in Nassau with the wireless radio. It was confirmed that his entire fleet surrendered and the enemy was landing on the port. Santos immediately commanded the armed soldiers to stop the Polarlys Legion.
In fact, even without Santos' command, the armed Cubans under Santos tried to stop them when Roma was landing and taking over the control of Nassau port. Soon, a shootout started at the port and it was covered in blood.
Santos was standing in front of the radio system and mumbling, “There's still hope, there's hope. I have thousands of armed soldiers in Nassau. As long as they hold the port and airport, there's still hope.”
The Cubans were not giving up; they were fighting with their lives. All of them knew that they will not be spared if they were defeated. They could only fight back.
“Get that double 57-mm self-propelled tank here, fire at the port.”
“Don't be afraid of those Americans, they only have speedboats. We're much stronger than them.”
“Occupy the buildings, build the barricade, and use those Bahamians as shields.”
An eight-wheel self-propelled tank arrived and started firing in the direction of the port. The artillery shells created a bunch of holes on the ground and soon, they could see the corpses in those holes.
The soldiers who just landed at the port were running and shouting, “Don't kill us, we're Cubans!” However, nobody would care about them on the battlefield. Meanwhile, Santos heard the situation reported by his soldier and he got pumped up again.
“Good job! Did you see the men I trained? They're pretty good, huh?”
“Get rid of all those Americans. They can't do anything if they can't land on Nassau.”
“By the time I get out of here, I'll bring another fleet to help them. The battle isn't over yet.”
It was only a few minutes, a platoon of soldiers from the Polarlys Legion were all shot and killed at the port. The port was covered with corpses and blood; the scene looked horrible and indescribable.
Meanwhile on the AC-130U, the commander of this battle, Roma watched as all the tank fodder mercenaries they got from Federo were eliminated. Roma was already used to that; he remained cool and steady. He commanded another platoon of soldiers to get ready. At the same time, he commanded the AC-130U to destroy the self-propelled tank and barricades.
When the gunship came closer with its deep, loud engine. The Cubans were not sure if they could stand against the Polarlys Legion with the barricades and the Bahamians as shields. Once again, the 57mm self-propelled tank showed up. The Cubans were trying to shoot the gunship.
The moment the self-propelled tank fired, the gunship launched a missile. The Bofors 40mm gun was used as the main weapon because the 105mm artillery shell was too slow.
With a firing rate of more than hundred shots per second, the Bofors 40mm bullets were deadly. Within just a few seconds, more than a hundred bullets fired. The raging bullets started from the sea and was on its way to the port. After a few moments, it struck the self-propelled tank.
When the gunners on the self-propelled tanks saw the AC-130U firing, they were frightened. They were hitting the top of the tank; they were trying to escape. However, before they could open the top of the tank, bullets were already raging in front of them.
The 40mm bullets easily went through the target. The self-propelled tank was completely destroyed in less than one second. The body of the tank was falling apart, its wheels and turrets were gone. The gunmen were instantly killed.
The bullets did not stop. It continued and touched a concrete building near the port. The thick and strong concrete could not withhold it. Within thirty seconds, the building was completely demolished. The armed soldiers under Santos who were hiding in the building were either dead or injured.
The AC-130U was getting closer; it was firing in any direction, at any angle that it could. The 105mm howitzer was accurate at shooting within a thousand meters. Those Cubans tried to hide but could not avoid the bullets at all.
Their defence line had totally collapsed. Meanwhile, Roma commanded the people to land, occupy the port, and wait for backup.
When General Santos heard that the armed soldiers he trained had all been killed by the gunship, he was in despair. He whimpered and grabbed the microphone of the radio and commanded, “All of you, fall back to the city. Fight the Polarlys Legion in the city. The guards at the airport, destroy the fuel tanks right now. Don't leave any resources for the enemy.”
Santos' command would not only make things harder for Polarlys, the armed soldiers in Nassau also would not be able to escape anymore. Right after Santos commanded, a scream came from the radio. It sounded like something terrible must have happened.
“What's going on? Don't panic, destroy the fuel tank. Fuel is the most important. They must be destroyed!” After a few moments, someone finally replied him in a hurry, “General, there are several transport aircraft that have landed at the airport. The special force of Polarlys Legion is here.”
Santos was mad and he shouted, “Where are the guards? I have a self-propelled tank at the airport.”
“The gunship destroyed the self-propelled tank, we can't stop them.” The guard stopped replying after he explained. Santos could only hear the sounds of gunshots from the other side of the radio.
Meanwhile, at the airport, Katrina was leading her five-hundred-men-team. They were invading the Nassau airport under the gunship's cover. They even brought a few light-wheeled armored vehicles. The armed soldiers from Cuba lost the power to resist.
However, there were too many important buildings in the airport like the fuel tank storages. The Cubans who received the order to destroy the fuel tanks managed to hold the storage with a few heavy machine guns.
This would be the time for Katrina to show up like a Valkyrie!
Katrina moved. Her speed was double that of the normal person. As the enemies reloaded, she ran over thirty meters in just two seconds. One of the guards was kicked to death, the enemies were defeated, and the defence line was torn down as swift as lightning.
“Nice try. But, it's not good enough!” Katrina moved as quick as lightning and stabbed the Cubans who put the bomb in the fuel tank. “There's no way you'll be as fast as that crazy Victor!”
