He suddenly felt like capturing this scene on canvas.

But he didn't have much time to think. The car outside had slowly backed up, clearing a path.

Joshua put away his sudden thoughts, started the car, and drove slowly onto the road.

This time, with police escorts, no one dared to act rashly.

Arriving at the hospital, Joshua did not get out of the car. He waited until Abigail Green finished the surgery, closed Dora's chest, and completed the final stitch before instructing someone to open the door and move the patient to the surgery observation room.

Abigail took a deep breath and took off her heavy surgical gown. Her clothes were completely soaked with sweat, making her already impressive figure even more pronounced. The two emergency doctors glanced unintentionally and quickly avoided looking as they got out of the car.

She coughed lightly in embarrassment, but before she could react further, the rear door was suddenly opened. She looked over and was met with a strikingly handsome face.

The same face she hadn't seen in a month.

What was he doing here? Abigail frowned, staring at him.

Seeing Abigail's attire, Brandon's expression changed slightly. He took off his jacket and, with a hint of dissatisfaction, said, “Get down and put this on.”

“I was never afraid. You decided everything yourself.” Abigail guessed how Brandon got hurt; his face was likely cut by the windshield. The only thing that could've broken the windshield just now was that collision.

Thinking of this, Abigail's heart ached. She was about to check his wounds, but before she could touch him, Brandon yanked her into his embrace, holding her tightly.

Smelling the familiar scent of Brandon mixed with the metallic tang of blood, her heart ached. She wanted to break free to check his injuries, but she stopped herself. She nuzzled his neck gently, murmuring soothingly, “I'm okay.”

She understood his fears. Everyone said concern made one lose their sense. If he didn't care so much, he wouldn't have made such a foolish decision.
