Marriage is inherently a blend of contradictions and unity. There are definitely contradictions, but the love doesn't disappear. These two live in harmony, making life interesting and changing. You single dogs should learn a thing or two, got it?”
Underpants!
Zoel Cohen felt a chill run through his heart.
“Don't blame me for being blunt, but that watch can't be had for less than one or two million. I could let you have it, but not someone else. Do you have that much cash on hand?”
Zoel Cohen knew that Kiara's income was not bad, but as a doctor, her earnings were fixed. Moreover, she was currently focused on her studies and didn't take on many cases, with most of her funds invested in the capital market or in buying real estate. She really didn't have much liquid cash.
“I don't have the money now, but in two days, a fat sheep will surely come to my door, ripe for a fierce slaughtering.”
While Zoel Cohen was puzzled, he heard Kiara add in a sinister tone.
“The birthday gift for my little Camden depends entirely on this one slash.”
Dog food is truly everywhere… this heartbreaking world.
Kiara returned to her room and saw Aka stomping around, fuming.
“Why aren't you sleeping? What are you doing?”
“The more I think about it, the angrier I get. Who on earth was that guy? Do you know where he lives? I'll cover my face and beat him up,” Aka said, infuriated at the thought of that greasy man's lecherous expression towards Mrs. Kiara. Mrs. Kiara was untouchable, a holy figure not to be lusted after by such vermin!
“Aka, you really should rein in your temper. Does hitting solve anything?”
Kiara peeked into her daughter's room and saw Wendy sleeping soundly, then stepped back out into the living room. She made a cocktail for Aka at the small bar and warmed up a hot mug of milk for herself.
“Some people just need a beating. That punch on Danny Gray felt so good. Mrs. Kiara, why are you so tolerant now? He was looking at you like that, and you didn't even slap him!” Aka downed the drink Kiara handed him and smacked his lips.
“What is this? Tastes a bit off.”
“Have another, I'm in a good mood today.” Kiara picked out another colorful cocktail.
Without any suspicion, Aka took it and drank it.
After finishing, he felt a chill from his chest to his windpipe, his blood seemingly boiling.
“What did you put in this drink, Mrs. Kiara?”
“It's nothing, I can't cook but mixing a simple cocktail is no problem. The alcohol content isn't high in this one–Where were we? You were asking why I didn't smack him, right? Ah, maybe it's because after becoming a mother my heart softened, and I can't stand all this violence anymore. Besides, if I hit that guy, how can I happily shear the fat sheep afterward?”
Aka looked up to her with respect.
“You truly live up to being Mrs. Kiara, such a good person–wait a minute, what fat sheep?”
“Nothing, just saying, heaven rewards those with benevolence. I hope everyone can contribute in their own way,” Kiara said.
“I don't understand, but it sounds incredibly wise. Mrs. Kiara, you're too kind!”
Kiara smiled and raised her glass, “Right, why am I so nice? Sometimes when I think of how kind I am, I'm moved myself.”
Speaking of which, the money fleeced from that greasy old man should be enough to buy Camden a birthday gift. How wonderful.
Just too darn kind…
That night, Aka and Kiara chatted happily. Aka had always liked Kiara, and when Kiara had problems with Yuzo Joel, Aka didn't like her by association. But now that she had called her 'dad' and paid her respects to her Master, Aka, being directly affiliated, bonded over the shared drinks as Kiara treated her a little nicer.
Kiara couldn't drink alcohol, so she had milk instead and talked with Aka until late. Aka, cheered by the conversation and Kiara's colorful cocktails, drank them all down. When she started feeling dizzy, it was already late. In the end, Kiara had to drag her to the guest bedroom bed.
Wrapped in blankets, Aka slept soundly, the alcohol and pleasant mood ensuring deep rest. When she got up groggily in the middle of the night to use the bathroom and sat on the toilet having just taken care of business, she heard a startled cry from Mrs. Kiara in the next room.
“Who's there!”
Aka sprang up from the toilet with such vigor that he didn't even have time to pull up his pants, running out while yanking them up, only to find the door had been locked from the outside.
Damn!
Someone had sneaked into the suite! And they were up to no good with Mrs. Kiara!
The Beautiful Lady was in the living room, how could there be no reaction from her at all? Could it be that the Beautiful Lady had already been taken down by the intruder?!
All traces of alcohol had vanished from Aka's system, and as he prepared to figure out a way to escape, he noticed a piece of paper on the floor that seemed to have been slipped through the gap under the door.
When Aka picked it up, he was speechless…
This, this is too…
People In the City really know how to play! They don't go easy on single dogs at all!
Leaving Aka's heart-wrenching plight aside for a moment, let's talk about Kiara, who was sleeping soundly when she suddenly felt a weight beside her.
At first, Kiara thought Camden had finished work and rolled instinctively toward him, even wrapping her arms around him, but then she felt something wasn't right.
She opened her eyes in a panic and everything went dark as the comer pressed a hood over her head!
By now, Kiara was fully awake.
She was out of town, so how could Camden possibly be here?!
So Kiara let out a shriek, attempting to kick, but the intruder pinned her down under the covers!
The soft bed sank deeply under the weight of both people, and all Kiara could do was scream.
“Aka!”
She had only yelled once when she felt the person's hand covering her mouth, which was already hooded, and the intruder pressed down even harder!
A tremendous fear enveloped Kiara, and at that moment, she was more worried about her daughter lying on the other side of the bed than about herself possibly encountering a bad person.
But the current situation didn't allow her to say anything; she felt the person pinning her limbs down, restricting her movements, and then those large hands began wandering under her pajamas!
The terrible hand touched her belly and pinched it, a familiar yet shameless technique, and those callouses on the hand, why did they seem so…
Familiar?
Kiara was still thinking when she heard the “bad person” let out a cold laugh.
“Hehehe, now you're scared?”
The moment that voice came out, Kiara finally breathed a sigh of relief, followed by a surge of anger. She whimpered a few times before the hand covering her mouth loosened.
“Mario Yuno, you uncle's! A joke is fun for a moment, a whole family on fire–! Ptui!” Kiara was so angry she was confused, almost blurting out the rest of the phrase. She quickly realized something was off. Wouldn't his whole family include both her and Wendy?
“Don't have a go at the Elder! Clearly, it's your fault first and foremost!”
Mario Yuno lifted the hood off her face, and when Kiara saw his face, she felt an immense loathing. He was playing such a cruel prank on her that she wanted to punch him, but Mario Yuno, that crafty fellow, pinned her down, not letting her move.
“Get your paws off me! This is clearly your fault! How dare you take our child and run away!”
“I'm going to call Dad! Tell him you bullied me!”
Kiara really didn't expect him to be there, and glancing at the clock on the wall, she saw it was already the middle of the night. Did this guy not have to work tomorrow?
“Complaining is useless, I was attending a meeting and decided to take the chance to catch my runaway wife; nobody cares!”
