Now Charlotte and Scar lived out in the town, just living life. Though, since the battle has reached their doorsteps, they needed to fight. Outside of the walls, the Demon Sect was moving in.

The attack against Hencewood was the biggest since the start of the war against the Demon Sect. In total there were four hundred thousand demons moving their way towards Hencewood.

Zuhn knew that the town wasn't going to last long.

"Charlotte, we won't be able to deal with the demons."

"Zuhn, I'm not going to run away from all of these people."

Charlotte went into the back and grabbed herself a longsword. The longsword had a dark blue metal on it. It was very eye-catching to look at. Scar, on the other hand, had himself a small dagger-like Zuhn.

"Alright, Let's go."

Charlotte and Scar walked of their house and moved to the front wall to fight the enemies. Right when Charlotte and Scar walked out of the house, Charlotte turned around.

"Zuhn… This isn't your battle. Go back to White Roses. Once we finish here, we will make it back."

Charlotte smiled before walking away. Zuhn trailed behind them, but Charlotte waved him off. Telling him to go back, Zuhn decided that he was going to watch from a tall building.

Zuhn made his way to church and sat on top to watch the battle. Zuhn used his amazing eyesight to see what was going on in the battle. Charlotte and Scar were both rushing towards the front lines of the battle.

Zuhn knew that Charlotte was skilled, but she wasn't super strong. Zuhn knew that this town wasn't going to last long against four hundred thousand demons.

Watching from above, the four hundred thousand demons all rushed the front gate at once. The archers on the wall set out multiple volleys to take out the demons.

The young master was also on the wall, sending out magical attacks into the crowd of demons attacking. No one on the wall was scared, everyone had smiles on their faces.

In under five minutes of the attack on the front gate, it fell. Leaving the soldiers on the other side to rush forward to attack the demons. The soldiers that were attacking the demons, weren't trained very well.

Hencewood was severely outnumbered, they only had around two thousand soldiers that were able to fight. The rest of the citizens were making barricades to protect themselves from the battle.

Others in the town just gave in and accepted their deaths. Zuhn watched closely at Scar and Charlotte fighting below him. Even though Zuhn was a ruthless killer, he knew what was going to happen in this battle.

Even though, Scar wasn't really a person he could call his friend. He was the first actual person that he met in this new world. Same with Charlotte, she was someone that actually took care of him.

It was hard for Zuhn to watch how the battle was going. Hencewood was only able to kill five thousand demons and they have lost five hundred men so far.

Zuhn looked far behind all of the demons and found five demons that had purplish black skin. They all had semi-powerful auras, Zuhn guessed that they were around Early Gold.

A sudden explosion came from the front gate. A stray oil barrel was blown up at the front gate. Killing almost everything around it, this included the army protecting Hencewood.

The demons were coming closer and closer, finally, the demons were inside the walls. Charlotte was the first to attack the demons, she was able to kill countless demons.

Though, the demons soon became too much, rushing in around her. Scar was fighting for his life, killing every demon he could. Sadly, it wasn't enough.

One of the demons slashed their spear and Scar, cutting through his chest. Scar dropped his dagger and went limp on the spear. The demon pulled the spear out and stabbed at Scar a couple more times.

Charlotte wasn't doing so well either, she was a lot more powerful than Scar. But, all of the defense forces were pretty much all killed. A demon with gray skin rushed through the crowd and targeted Charlotte.

The gray demon rushed at Charlotte, Charlotte didn't notice the demon. Causing her to be killed in one slash from the demon's sword. Charlotte hit the floor, the other demons started to push forwards stepping on both bodies.

Zuhn felt a small tear fall down his face. He let out a sigh before he watched the whole city burn down in front of him. Screams from children could be heard throughout the whole city.

Zuhn was quite shocked that Hencewood was able to survive this long. Suddenly, Chu got a message from Dou Si.

'Zuhn, Two out of three towns still remaining have fallen. The only one that hasn't fallen is Hencewood.'

Zuhn shook his head at the message before him. Zuhn took one more look at the battle before sending Dou Si a message.

'Hencewood as fallen.'

When Dou Si received the message he felt his heart drop. All of the towns in the region have fallen, the only one remaining his White Roses.

The place that Zuhn once called home was completely destroyed by the Demon Sect. Zuhn left Hencewood and started to return back to White Roses.

When Zuhn got outside of Hencewood, he looked back to see an ocean of flames coming from the town.

Zuhn turned back to the direction to White Roses not looking back. Going back to White Roses was going to take around three days with people. But, since it was just Zuhn returning it was only going to take him one day to reach the outer walls.

While Zuhn was on his way back to White Roses, he saw several camps of Demons out in the region. While moving around the region, there were also several hundred thousand demons at different camps.

Zuhn suspected that these demons were staging to attack White Roses in the coming days or weeks. Seeing this scene, Zuhn sped up to return to the White Roses sect.
