Suddenly, Lu Hao felt a soft embrace envelop him from behind and couldn't help but curve his lips upward, saying, “You're awake?”

“Mm-hmm, are you going to work soon?” she asked, knowing the answer but just wanting to talk more with the handsome man before her.

“What, you don't want me to go to work?” Lu Hao affectionately pinched her cute, upturned nose. Hearing Su Jin's soft voice, he too was reluctant to leave for work.

“Not at all, just come home early, and try not to work overtime. Wait for our good news,” Su Jin was also quite looking forward to today's “mission.”

“If there's no special assignment, I can finish work early and come to find you,” said Lu Hao.

Ignoring Liao Yifan's question, Lu Hao strode out of the door and headed directly to her team's office.

What Liao Yifan was referring to was a strange person their team had taken in, transferred from the Y Autonomous Region. He wasn't exactly a criminal but someone who had encountered trouble and had yet to clear the suspicion surrounding him. Since the person was from H City, he was sent directly there so they could continue the investigation based on the relatives and friends around him.

Indeed, the strange person Liao Yifan mentioned was the Big Beard who went to climb Mount M. His real name was Xue Wanyi, a true native of H City.
