“Thank you,”

a team member gratefully said to Su Jin, before he fed the water to Chen Hai, who was on the ground.

Chen Hai seemed to be thirsty too, and after taking a sip, he surprisingly drank all of the remaining water without leaving a drop behind.

Li Haochu was also relieved. He had people put Chen Hai into the military truck, though they bound his hands and feet to prevent him from turning into a zombie and attacking those nearby.

The convoy continued forward, and those survivors who had killed zombies were met with various looks as they got on the vehicle–some envious, some jealous, and others admiring.

the woman in front said, laughing.

“Yes.”

Lu Hao was ready to leave; he had previously suspected that these people might be lying in ambush, but it didn't seem to be the case now.

“Ah, I wanted to play boss for a bit; seems like there's no chance now,” the man with glasses seemed quite frustrated.

Huang Yunxiang couldn't help but want to see Liang Wei's reaction–the father of the base leader was here, she wondered what Liang Wei must be feeling at the moment.

“We are in a hurry.”

Lu Hao felt he had been patient enough, but the three showed no signs of backing off. The one carrying the long sword even sat on the hood of their car.

Zombies were slowly gathering towards them, and the drivers in the cars behind were anxiously waiting, unsure of what the trio up front intended to do.
