There is a great battle inside her heart. Part of her want to know what really happen from Wang Kai, but a greater part of her didn't want to know anything. She wanted to close her eyes and deafen her ears, lie to herself that she will have a happy ending with Wang Kai.

But her self-awareness prevents her to do so. She didn't let herself became the past pathetic NiNi again. It was frustrating when she badly wants to cry but she can't shed any tears. She ends up bumping a hard chest, making her stumble.

"Aaaa…" Her body falls backwards as she heels slips into the cold marble floor. She didn't get to see who hit her as she closes her eyes, preparing to fall. But after three long second, she didn't feel any pain.

She slowly opens her eyes, Revealing Yan Xi who holds her body with worried face. With Yan Xi help NiNi to get on her feet again. Her heart still beat fast from almost falling to the ground.

"Are Okay?" Yan Xi said with worried voice, Staring at NiNi paled face intensely.

It was a simple question, but it completely broke NiNi's fortress. She buried herself into Yan Xi's chest, the tears she has hold from the moment she knew Wang Kai's has a son was finally drops on Yan Xi's black shirts.

Yan Xi was transfixed like a statue. Slowly he raises his hand, placing it gently on NiNi's head and back. Bring her closer to his warm embrace as he let her cry. He didn't ask anything. He simply just wants to be there for his best friend.

"I want to go home." NiNi said with small and weak voice. Agreeing with NiNi's request, Yan Xi supports her to walk to his car. Calming herself down, she wipe away her tears. NiNi tried her hard to look like she was okay in front of Yan Xi.

The heater was on at the car, resting her tired body to the seat. The memories where Song Yun provoking her and drop the son bomb was still fresh on her mind. She was sickened with the thought of Wang Kai making out with Song Yun.

The image of Wang Kai's happy little family was lingering on her mind. Every time image appears NiNi her whole body stiffened. It became horrific when she tried to close her eyes to rest but the images turns even more vivid, haunting her.

Deep inside she also know Song Yun suddenly showing up in the middle of the banquet is weird. She had her suspicions, especially when she remembers how attentive Wang Kai had been these past days. She knew Wang Kai will never plans to hurt her deliberately.

Recalling how Wang Kai react about the news, she started to freak out inside. He didn't deny anything, he just coldly look at Song Yun. His reaction made her scared that all of it is true. Maybe Wang Kai don't know about the son, but he his reaction also not surprised. Like he knew it will happen at one point.

He actually had planned to build his own family with that girl. From that moment, every second was torture for Guan Xiao Ni.

The car move slowly as none of them didn't intend to talks about anything. Yan Xi watched how NiNi face change several times, from sad, panic, pain, hatred. The beautiful eyes that used to radiate happiness and cheerfulness was gone. Even with such a mood she still could appear enchanting.

His heartache when he saw pain in her eyes. It felt like she bring along his heart when her heart broke. It feels equally painful like when he missed her when he was away. He watchs everything at the alley, how NiNi runs away from Wang Kai.

He actually didn't want to intervene their problems, he realized it was not his place. But when he saw how torn NiNi were as she runs away, he can't help himself.
