Chapter 1186 A Guarantee, A Placed Trust
Naturally, Izroth was well aware of how bold his statement may seem to others. However, he had something no one else in the Mortal Realm possessed—the Elixir of Immortality.
Of course, the Elixir of Immortality was only a last resort if all else failed. After all, the effects of the elixir was something that a price could not be placed on.
Nevertheless, in the end, while it would be shame to lose such a valuable item, in Izroth's eyes, it was just that—an item. In the future, he would have multiple chances to come across items just as good or perhaps even better than the Elixir of Immortality. That's why, compared to saving Nova, it was not that big of a price to pay.
That being said, Izroth also had no intention of relying on the Elixir of Immortality to cure Nova. He had something else in mind that was only possible now that he had Nature's Preservation along with all materials stored within from Franz's garden.
"I understand the weight of my words, Commander. I know how important Lady Nova is to you. If I was not confident that I could heal her, I would not have come to see you just to grant you a sense of false hope. That is why, I need Commander Aurie to place her trust in me." Izroth said in a straightforward manner.
He then continued, "If you still have some doubts, you can contact the Order of a Thousand Blossoms Holy Maiden, Seina. I am sure she will personally vouch for my ability to treat others."
Izroth removed the Twin Blossom Crest from his inventory and placed it on the table's center.
Aurie's eyes widened in shock as she closely examined the Twin Blossom Crest.
"Palace Master Izroth, this- you actually managed to get your hands on a Twin Blossom Crest...!" Aurie's eyes seemed to spark with a hint of hope.
It was a well known fact in the Mortal Realm that the one in possession of the Twin Blossom Crest was someone whose word and presence could be treated the same as the Thousand Blossoms Holy Maiden herself!
Needless to say, it was not something handed out to others lightly. And, to Aurie's knowledge, it was the first time the Twin Blossom Crest made an appearance in this generation!
More importantly, most people in Aurie's position knew that Holy Maiden Seina was a skilled Grade Seven Apothecary. While her specialty did not lie in healing others, her experience and knowledge could not be ignored.

"I did hear rumors that the Holy Maiden was not in good health. It was to the point that she could not leave her bed, let alone tend to worldly matters. That is until recently given how things have become rather lively at the Order of a Thousand Blossoms lately. I did hear that there was a new Honorary Saint, but there was no information about them. Could it be that Palace Master Izroth is..." Aurie's thoughts raced as she quickly pieced everything together.
Aurie closed her eyes and took a moment to organize her thoughts. A few moments later, her eyes opened with a glimmer of restored determination and lingering hope.
"Even though Lady Nova is my adoptive mother, she is also one of the seven heroes and... Well, let's just say that it is not easy even for me to visit her whenever I please. Regardless, I can give you one chance, Commander Izroth. With that one chance, are you still confident that you can heal Lady N-... heal my mother..?" Aurie said as she clenched her fists and tried her best to hide her nerves.
For a moment, Izroth could see the pleading look of an innocent child in Aurie's eyes.
"Rest assured, Commander. As long as I can see Lady Nova, before the day is over, her eyes will open again. On this, you have my word." Izroth stated with an air of confidence.
Aurie stood upright as she seemed to momentarily return to her usual self.
"Captain Kalmesia, since Commander Izroth requires your assistance, you will accompany us. From this moment until the day is over, you are to treat Commander Izroth's orders as my own." Aurie said.
"Understood, Commander." Kalmesia responded as she saluted.
She turned her gaze to Izroth and said, "Commander Izroth, I will be in your care. Whatever you need of me, as long as Lady Nova can be saved, I am prepared to pay any price. Even if that price is my life."
"Captain Kalmesia, you...! Aurie started; however, she was quickly cut off by Kalmesia.
"Commander, you have known from the beginning, the reason why I decided to join the 2nd Unit under your command. Please do not misunderstand. I value my life greatly. But, Lady Nova cannot fall here. Otherwise, my mission, my very existence—it will all cease to have meaning." Kalmesia said calmly.
Hearing Kalmesia's words caused Aurie to release a small helpless sigh.
"While I understand, still... You are someone under my command, Captain Kalmesia. No matter what, you cannot hand over your life so easily. Not to mention, I am sure my mother would be unhappy to hear such words." Aurie reminded.
As Aurie and Kalmesia exchanged a few words, Izroth listened silently. He felt that he should say something, but decided against it, in the end.
'While I respect her determination and will, there will be no need for her to give her life away. At most, I will need to acquire some of her blood. But, this atmosphere... Perhaps it's best I keep this to myself to avoid things becoming somewhat awkward.'
"Then, let us not waste another moment. We will head over to see my mother right away. Captain Izroth, as you have requested, I will place my trust in you." Aurie said firmly.
Not long after, with Aurie in the lead, the three exited the command tent.
Several minutes later...
'After what happened in Danaharpe, I thought she would be somewhere deep in the heart of the temporary base of operations. However, her to be in this place... No, I suppose it makes sense. After all, there is a saying that lightning seldom strikes the same place twice.'
Initially, Izroth thought that Aurie would lead them through several more checkpoints that led deeper into the temporary base of operations. But, instead, the three left that area entirely and, surprisingly, headed toward the Noble District of Danaharpe, a place that recently experienced an unknown attack.
At the moment, the three stood before an extravagant and large four-story building crafted with high quality materials that made the buildings in the other parts of Danaharpe seem like common weeds on the roadside.
Furthermore, the building was covered in multiple magic formations and protective barriers. And, although the outside appeared to be abandoned, Izroth could detect several strong presences nearby with his Energy Vision Sense—the strongest of which had at least reached late stage of the legendary realm!
"I have come to visit my mother." Aurie said to seemingly no one.
At first, there was nothing but silence. However, a few seconds later, a black fog appeared in front of Izroth, Aurie and Kalmesia.
'It's them—the legendary presence I detected earlier.'
"You are rather persistent, young one. I have informed you many times that I would send word the moment any changes occurred." A distorted voice echoed from the black fog.
