Prolouge
Screams. So many screams filled the surroundings. It was horrible as there were cries of pain and misery, filling the gruesome battlefield as the young man struggled to get up. Alas, he failed as he looked down to see his leg was missing a chunk of flesh. He realized that he wasn’t going anywhere as the pain hit him. It was as if somebody threw salt mixed with alcohol. He tried to crawl to somewhere else, but it was too late. A dark shadow loomed over him with a horrible scent swishing around him. He turned around only to be left in a state like no other. Complete and absolute fear.
He stared at something beyond natural cause. It was a large snake with eyes deep from hell, and scales as sharp as mount Olympoys. This wasn’t no ordinary snake, no he wished it was. It was the Midgard Serpent itself.
Jormungandr the world serpent
The people around him began running away with the sounds of shrieks and cries following them. Eventually, the man was alone with Jormungander, as the serpent stared at him with predatory eyes. Its overlapping gaze left him in shock, yet he knew his fate. The snake opened its mouth as the skies began roaring and rumbling. The air became dense, and the temperature dropped massively. With each breath he took, the clearer he could see the air that came out. The serpent
It pounced as everything faded to black.
In the last moments of his life, the young man wondered something that stuck in his head for oh so long when he was general.
“Did the gods know their soldiers would die? Why would they send the people who serve them without haste to their demise so effortlessly.”
He fell into the cold abyss as he smiled at what fun he had.
But his time had run out, as he embraced the open arms of death.
“May the arms of Hades swallow you hole!” He remembered.
May they swallow him hole indeed.
The cold feeling of water consumed him whole as he his vision faded to black.
You wake in a cold sweat.
