Pokemon Pearl 6 Chapter 6 - First Catch

''We just being attacked by Pokemon thieves," Dawn responded while running towards them, "But your son saved us."

"What?" Lucas replied in stunning, "Wait, son, did you just have a battle with these guys?"

"Yes, Dad," Rico cheerfully answered with confidence," And I won, with my first Pokemon."

"Oh, wow," Lucas calmly replied, "I think you had your first battle I guess." After hearing this, Rico smiled, before turning around to Riolu, who was resting after the battle. Rico then turned back to his father and Dawn, and said, "You know what? I want to be a Pokemon trainer." Dawn then nodded in agreement, get a spare Pokeball from her bag, give it to Rico, and said, "Use this, to catch a Pokemon. Just throw it to your Pokemon, and your Pokemon will be inside in its Pokeball. If it didn't, just try it again." In response, Rico accepted it, walk to his Riolu, holding the Pokeball Dawn gave, and said, "So Riolu, do you want me to be your trainer?"

"Ri-olu!" Riolu happily responded. Answering this, Rico stepped back, threw the Pokeball towards Riolu, and shouted, "Go, Pokeball!" The Pokeball hit Riolu, catching it by opening the inside of the Pokeball; Rico then waited until the Pokemon inside have intacted in its Pokeball. At last, after a very short time of waiting, the Pokemon had been successfully intacted in its Pokeball. Having caught a Pokemon, Rico ran to pick up the Pokeball, and happily shouted, "Yes! I caught a Riolu!"

Happy, Lucas and Dawn ran to him and Lucas said to him, "Wow, son, congrats, you had your first Pokemon." Dawn then commented a similar thing.

"Thanks, daddy," Rico happily replied, "Thanks, Dawn."

"Yeah," Lucas replied. Then in a serious expression, "But you have to be responsible to your Pokemon. You must bathe it, feed it, and give it with medicine and other boosters. Understand?"

"Understood, dad," Rico responded while nodding in agreement.
