Phoenix Fight Volume 1 Chapter 10

When Languo first started talking, she was a little sheepish, but the more she said, the braver she became. At the end of her speech, it was as if she was bargaining with the prince and they were friends.

Quite a few women grumbled behind her.

“Who does this girl think she is?”

“I’m sure the prince will eliminate her next!”

“What does ‘I’m here for the show’ mean?”

“Dunno, maybe it means she’s not very good.”

“I don’t think so, maybe she’s really here for the show...”

“Didn’t she say she was from the Happy Life clan? That’s White Rock’s clan!”

“She’s probably lying. If I was White Rock and had a student like this to embarrass me, I’d kill myself!”

The talk got louder and louder, filling Languo’s ears and making her angry. When she couldn’t take it anymore, she turned to yell at them. “I don’t care if you insult me, but if you insult my teacher, I’ll...I’ll make you sorry!”

She prepared to fight the gossipy women.

But her hand was gripped by a pair of larger ones. Languo turned to see what had happened, the prince was still sitting on his chair, but his hands had managed to hold onto hers and stopped her from slapping the women insulting her. She was irritated and didn’t care about his status, she yelled, “what are you doing?”

The prince kept his smile and said quietly, “don’t be emotional...” He comforted her while telling his aide, Deputy Liao, “I’ll pick her. The rest can go.”

Deputy Liao, who had just suffered at the hands of Languo earlier, was stunned. “Her?” This girl obviously doesn’t know anything, why would the prince pick her among all the possible candidates? What is the point? “Rea... really?”

All the women in the room were also shocked, they talked amongst themselves and complained even louder. The place sounded like a summer pond full of frogs。

“Do I need to repeat myself?” The prince’s face became grim as he said coldly.

The smile on the man’s handsome face was quickly replaced by a shadow. Languo tucked in her neck and felt a little afraid. Even though she was picked, she didn’t feel excited.

Deputy Liao acted quickly and started to deal with the roomful of rejected bodyguards.

“What are you standing there for? Push me inside.” Languo withstood the jealous gaze of all the departing women, and dimly heard the voice of the prince. Push me? What does he mean by push?

A maid standing behind the prince coughed and backed away a few steps, reminding Languo of her post.

Languo walked over, feeling out of sorts. She noticed the maid’s hands leaving the prince’s chair and the woman’s eyes hinting the place she needs to be.

Languo was stunned and almost fell over in her shock --

Is this a wheelchair?!
