Chapter 4 : It Is Time For Mom To Stand Up For Her Sake Of Her Son Part 2

"In my current situation right now, it was useless to call the police. And, even if I did so, it will only make the situation even more complicated." Gu Yuanyuan meekly explained. "If the hotel room was a bit expensive, I'm afraid that I can't afford it. So, can I ask you to take me to a cheaper hotel?"

After thinking about it for a while, she added: "The kind of hotel that only costs, more or less, tens of dollars per day." (e/n: 1 US dollar is equivalent to 7 Chinese yuan, more or less >.< )

As she was speaking, Gu Yuanyuan looked at Gu Yizhou with her clear and beautiful eyes, which were openly showing her full sincerity, indicating that she was not telling a lie.

As long as the hotel price was cheap, many people would definitely choose to stay there. However, the downside part of it was, it couldn't help that fishes and dragons would usually be mixed in together. (e/n: Chinese idiom; means crooked people are mixed with the honest folks)

Furthermore, she would be living alone in a room, and she was worried as she was quite young and also possessed a unique countenance.

Gu Yizhou was observing Gu Yuanyuan, and his brows almost knitted together because of a thought. Her face, which was the same as her mother's in his memory, flashed back and forth in his mind.

Gu Yuanyuan also included: "If the room will only charge at 50 yuan per day, the rest of the money that was left of it will be enough for me to live for a short period of time. While I'm at it, I can use that time to find a job so I can rent a small apartment for a stable living. That's why…"

"Are you an adult?" Gu Yizhou asked when he couldn't help himself but interrupt the talk about her future plans.

"Uhm… Probably not yet." Gu Yaunyuan truthfully answered.

This was really a heart-stabbing question.

"Do you know what would happen to a single and underage girl that was staying alone inside a hotel room?" Gu Yizhou questioned her using his voice that was unconsciously taken a serious educational tone as though educating someone.

"…" Gu Yuanyuan, who was currently being educated by his son, turned speechless at the unexpected sight.

After a moment, Gu Yizhou came to a stop in lecturing her. While the other hand, Gu Yuanyuan was further embarrassed to speak again when she saw that he was looking so grim and cold. Then she had found out that the car was passing a hotel, but contrary to her assumption, Gu Yizhou did not stop, instead, he continued to drive the car way passed it.

Slightly distressed, Gu Yuanyuan immediately took the initiative to remind him aloud. "We just drove passed a hotel…"

Although that hotel was kind of average-looking, and the door at the shop front was a little small compared to the ordinary ones, the decoration of the signage was still pretty good.

Gu Yizhou simply decided to ignore her.

"Well… Uh…" Pondering about the current behavior of her second son, Gu Yuanyuan determined that her son's character and attitude were a bit too high and somewhat stiff cold. She was also wondering how he would find a daughter-in-law in the future. But, she didn't ask about it anyway, as she was sure that Erbao would take her anywhere she wanted to go.

The car heater was switched on and perfectly functioning when the drowsiness hit her. Gu Yuanyuan gradually succumbed to the temptation while yawned afterward. She curled up into a ball, and little by little, she fell into a slumber after a short time.

With his keen eyes, Gu Yizhou, who was always paying attention at her every move, had gone silent at her present appearance. "…"

So, with this gesture of hers, does this mean that she trusted him?

A fit of unexplainable anger suddenly rose into Gu Yizhou's heart. Which, ironically, even he, himself, couldn't understand the reason behind it.

Out of the blue, the phone rang unexpectedly, making Gu Yuanyuan's body involuntarily moved because of it. And for some reason, Gu Yizhou immediately took the phone and subconsciously hang it up, seemingly unaware of what he just did.

As she fell into her deep sleep, Gu Yuanyuan was relishing a wonderful dream. A dream where she was playing with the fluttering butterflies together with her four little turnip heads in a wide flower field, and making some beautiful floral wreath out of the colorful flowers. She put it on her head as if a makeshift coronet. Then, she smiled and lovingly asked the four little turnip heads. "Babies, does mommy look pretty?"

Her three little sons jumped up with cheerfulness and happily said: "Mommy always had the best look!"

Only one of her little sons who remained unmoving and silent, unlike her other brothers. With his puffy face and pouty lips, he told her mother very seriously: "Mommy, you cannot wear a floral wreath, or you would become too beautiful. And beautiful people will be captured with the bad guys. If you get captured, we will have no Mommy anymore."

He also nodded to strongly emphasized his point. "Mommy, you have to protect yourself properly. Do you hear me?"

Facing her little son's serious speech and lecture, Gu Yuanyuan was quite stunned. Where was her sweet and adorable son?! 

"Erbao!" She called as she opened her eyes in shock, only to find out that all her previous fantasies were entirely a dream.
